I guess that I took this post a lot differently than some of you. I took it as a serious examination of myself. It was a challenge to answer the questions and see if I measured up in anyway or if I was a wimp. It was kind of a reminder and a test to me. It could have been worded differently without using the personal term "you" but overall it was a challenge. I wanted to answer honestly and had to think about work. This was about work mostly and not about us on the board. The choice of the word "you" is what made one think this post was talking about Worthy Christians.

Because someone took the time to pray for me and minsiter to me, Jesus stood at the door and knocked and I let Him in.

I was fired from my last job over Jesus. I like to say I live my faith out loud because I can't seem to shut my mouth about it. But I do think people need a wake up call. In my present job it was a so called christian who complained to my boss that I brought a Bible to work. When I first met her she rambled on about how she was deeply involved with this church and on the intercessery prayer watch. We had nice discussions about Christ, she credited God for her home and children's health and all. Then I started wearing these shoes that says on the side Jesus saves. She cautioned me that I should keep this God thing between us. I said I don't think so. Time went on and I brought a few fellow co-workers to Christ, conversations began to center around Him at work. One particular young man didn't own a Bible so I brought him one. She got very angry and confronted me about it. I told her quietly and simply that if she truly knew Christ she wouldn't be saying this to me and walked away. Well the next day my boss called me into his office and asked me about the Bible being brought to work. I told him that the young man had asked me for one so I brought him one and that neither one of us meant any harm. He said he didn't know if that was appropriate and I told him I would make a deal with him. That if he would tell all my other co-workers not to bring music, movies, and books that I found to be offensive to work to trade with each other, then I would concede not to bring anything that would offend them. It's a two way street. He smiled at me, said I had a point and it was a two way street. Then he called me an uppity chritian. As I was walking out of his office feeling well quite elated, he called out by the way I like your shoes.

That was a year ago. The other woman that continued to call herself a christian but continued to get angry with me for being so outspoken was fired last week because of her constantly causing friction at work with everyone. Last night my boss and his wife took the employee's bowling and gave me a Christmas bonus along with an angel blanket, and some christian books in front of the entire staff. The Lord works in mysterious ways. In my way of thinking they just let everyone know I had their blessing to continue taking the Gospel to the rest of the employee's.

The article at the beginning is meant as an eye opener I believe and some people are commissioned by God to do this work. But we all need to remember their are people in the Body of Christ that are commissioned to be silent like Dr. Lukes friend. There are alot of counterfeit christians out there, but we don't need to get mad about it, nor do we need to figure out who they are or what others should be doing. We just simply need to keep walking in the right direction and God will do the rest. Even though I'm a talker and not afraid of what others may say to me that doesn't mean it's the only way to show the Glory of God. Everytime we get out there and think we need to control it all, we may just be stepping in horse manure.

In Yeshua's love

After reading the first post on this thread and seeing all the reaction it pains me because it was all so unnecessary. All the questions posted could have been posted and prompted us all to look at ourselves without any though of recrimination or being accused.

How?

Well all the poster had to do was go through the post and replace all the "you" /s with "we" /s or "us"/s

Just try re-reading that first post again but when you see the word "you" just replace it with "we" or "us" and see what a difference one word makes.

PS: Hey nebula that mushroom thing made me crack up Sister :o:D:D I get the feeling the guy who made that had too many mushrooms of a particular type ie magic ones :t2::t2::t2: lol

I hope this makes sense.

Dave, it made a lot of sense. As we have discussed privately, a lot is at stake. We must look at life through eyes focused on eternity. Bless you brother. We have many of the same struggles and recognize the importance of putting on the Full Armor of God when we do battle against the real enemy.

I took it as a serious examination of myself. It was a challenge to answer the questions and see if I measured up in anyway or if I was a wimp. It was kind of a reminder and a test to me.

Dove, well done and thank you for sharing your personal response. You set a good example in my humble opinion. Bless you sister.

Good idea Adstar.

I like to say I live my faith out loud because I can't seem to shut my mouth about it.

Teri, it sounds like you have a wise boss and he recognizes something special in you. I not only allow my co-workers to bring Bibles to work but I encourage them to do so. Who am I to restrict folks sharing their Faith when they have been commissioned to do so by God Himself? On any given day, you can hear our custodian singing hymns while she cleans the office restrooms. You can walk by someones office and listen to them testify regarding what the Lord has done for them lately. I (we) want God in every aspect of my (our) life...at my plant, in my home, with me fishing...24/7; and I want His will and glory to be reflected through my words, my actions and my decisions.

It sounds like you also have a good work environment. Thank you for the story.

Bless you, Wayne

I can't believe that this thread, submitted by Jedi for our response, received such as it did, judgement and condemnation, some support by others, accusations of posting and running (before the post was even 2 days old) . . . and then before Jedi gets a chance to respond everyone goes off into nothing but folly and jest on his thread . . . very disrespectful.

I think it is a shameful way to do another brother myself.

I agree. But that's how I felt about VOG, too, (Voice of God).

It felt to me like no matter what the poor guy said, everyone was all over his case.

I felt very sorry for him. Now he's gone and no one cares.

Added Note:

Just one more reason I spend my time now in the Women's mostly...

As far as "wimps" goes:

Let's not forget ...there are newborn babes still on milk. Some can't even name the four (4) gospels yet. Some still think Luke was one of the 12 apostles. Some still think Abraham was alive during Jesus' time.

I know...I'm married to a "babe".

The "babe" I'm married to can take an entire car apart and put it back to together (he's very mechanical)...but he reads at a 4th grade level.

We expect everyone to be at "our" level but - some are slow learners; some are painfully shy; some are confused ...

Thank you, JESUS! that you're more patient!

People are at different places in their walk...so why call names? Let us be patient with each other and gently encourage one another.

For those of you who think you're not "wimps" ...good. But try being a little more charitable for the little ones who are struggling.

Sometimes it takes an hour to help my poor husband get through a single chapter. He struggles. It's hard for him.

I may not be out winning any awards for "Super Christian" but you can bet I'm learning remarkable patience helping those who are learning.

Well . . . as soon as Jedi4Yahweh starts claiming to be speaking directly for God as did voG, I will be obliged to "prove all things" with his message as well. There is a wide, wide gulf presently between what Jedi4Yahweh and the proven false prophet we dealt with in the past have done . . . so far.

Jedi simply submitted what a friend had written . . . he did not claim his friend to God giving him a message for all us here as Worthy Boards.

I felt very sorry for him. Now he's gone and no one cares.

I think you are very wrong. Many of us do care and prayed/pray for voG . . . but he made up his mind to go his own way and reject godly counsel for multiple brothers and sisters.

We are not the blame for what he decided to do . . . however, we would be blamed if we had not challenged him . . .

  • Eze 33:5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

Ga 2:6 But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me

Ga 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
5 For every man shall bear his own burden.

Peace little sis.

William

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
