Who does what?!

Without getting into a sex war about this, I would value the opinion of all Lovers of Jesus....

In the Christian community,

does God bring the potential Mr Right to the woman or

Ms Right to the man?!

Apart from what you have read concerning this matter, what is your PERSONAL view/EXPERIENCE on this and have you Believing men had your other half come to you first?

I'm a tad confused about it.

I would think God does bring 'Mr.Right' to 'Mrs. Right'

I also think God wants some people to stay single (so then other people can learn from the person that is single how its like and stuff)

I'm praying alot for my 'future wife' whoever she maybe and that God will help me find the right lady but if he wants me to stay single, thats fine as well.

I have read some Christian men write love poems for their "future" wives, then give it to them on the wedding night.....!

I've never really thought about this...

I was about to say that God jsut brings them together.... they are each others helpmeet, aren't they? I know Eve was given to Adam, but also, they are a gift to each other, right?

Not sure

God just brings each together! When you want what God wants for your life and you are ready, He brings you the other! He brought me to my husband, and He brought my husband to me...it is reciprocal, as of course, we are equal in God's eyes.

This is part of an introduction I used when I first started fellowshipping on the internet!

It has been less than a year

Why I should be so blessed I don't have a clue except God is a God of Mercy and Grace and I sure need both!

I'm 63 and marred for 37 years to a little sweetie I trapped at Fresno State!

Of course, she says she trapped me!

And she started on me when she was just a very little girl!

She prayed to God to prepare for her a mate!

Someone she could love and someone to love her back!

That's so unfair!

To think all those trials I went through were not only to draw me closer to Jesus

But, were to make a loving husband out of me!

Girls! So sneaky!

What about God bringing Eve to Adam? God brought her to him. Is it inappropriate for a Christian woman to make the first move?

I like to tell people when we're all talking about our spouses, that "I chased him till he caught me!" We were 13 and 15 when we started dating and 19 and 21 when we married.

My hubby and I were married for 9 years before we found Jesus but the Lord made it clear that He brought us together to be a team to serve Him, even before we knew Him. We've been married for almost 31 years.

Our children are not yet married and our daughter (27) is talking marriage with an unsaved man, who she believes God told her to love. Our 2 sons (26&24) are not dating, just waiting...

God will bring men and women together... the only thing is that marriage is alot of hard work... some days you just want to run away and start a new life somewhere... the only problem is that I had to take me with me and that always seemed like the hard way to do it... if you know what I mean.

I love my husband. The deep enduring love that makes me want another 30 years with him.

Evening Inj, I think "ChristianHardRock" hit the answer Head ON . Once of a time, I can't imagine God blessings couple with HIS pick of the right spouse, mainly because ,WE MARRIED SO EARLY! But now I think because of college being practically part of life, people are giving God a chance to work first in thier lives, the ones that stay focused, and allowing HIM to send the "right" ones. Don't get me wrong, many of us ended up with terrific choices, but it didn't start out that way and I , for one, certainly didn't wait for God's hand to move. And God forbid if HE would have determined me to be one to "go out and preach and don't get married!" Not down south, anyway....lol...lol or a many other locations, back in the day! lol

Also, much of it is the results of allowing God to work in our lives from an early age, and learning, very quickly, that marriage is a learning process. Men learn to listen very carefully, or there will be "heck" to pay....lol...lol But anyway, in time as the two learn each other and give slack for human error, women having most of them....just kidding.....We both have to cut each other slack to make a wonderful marriage work. And I can honestly say, I'M FINALLY A SUCCESS STORY!

LOVE TO ALL GOD'S CHILDREN

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
