Lately, I've been going through some major "storms" of life. Some of you may already know that I've just started on chemotherapy (et al drugs) ....

Yet...something weird JUST happened...

I live in sunny Florida...it's about 75 out. We have gorgeous wild life that live in peace with human inhabitants here.

Among them, the 4 foot tall Herons...incredibly huge, beautiful birds that are tall, lanky and have long, spear-like beaks.

They are not "tame"...they are totally wild...

As I was typing here on WBs, I heard the loud call of a Heron outside and went out to investigate.

My hubby said, "I'll get some bread crumbs"....

I went outside in my front yard and this beautiful solitary male (they always travel in pairs with their mates) walked right up to me....unafraid.

My hubby discretely handed me a piece of bread and I thought, "Why not? I'll chance it."

So I broke off a piece and fed it to him. He moved up close to me and took it right out of my hand very gently. I fed him for a while...and he ate; then cooed gently, then fed again.

I went inside to see if he was full and had enough. But he crowed loudly when I left. So I went back outside again to give him a little more bread. He was still hungry, I guess.

I talked to him the whole time, "Pretty boy! you're such a pretty boy! Is that good food? Are you hungry?...blah, blah..." ...like talking to a little child. He just fed from my hand and made soft cooing sounds, but was eating out of my hand and standing right up close up to me.

I have NEVER seen that before ever among the Herons...they're completely wild birds and don't normally approach people.

I'm just blown away right now....and had to share that. Too amazing for words. Thank you, Jesus! What a sweet blessing!

Hi! When I read the first part of your note, I was surprised to hear you are on chemotherapy. I hope and pray all will destroy the cancer.

Your bird story was unique. They are wild birds and don't usually approach a person.

It is just so amazing how YHVH can make someone's day brighter.

Truly, a Blessing to be remembered.

Angel: I know what you mean. I feel so enveloped right now...it's so weird. I actually feel like God has sent angels to minister to me and it's got to be the oddest feeling I've ever had as a Christian.

Snow: I don't have cancer but a very severe and crippling form of arthritis called "Rheumatoid Arthritis". My mother died from complications to it 3 years ago. I cared for her the last year of her life. I was with her when she took her last breath. It's a deadly form of this disease and can be horribly deforming.

I've been diagnosed early and the Lord provided me the "Head of the Rheumatology" department as my personal Rheumatologist. I don't get bounced around to interns...I have the top man.

He's awesome, too! He's throwing major drugs at this right now in hopes to beat it down and keep me from ever progressing to the "crippling" stage. Since we've attacked it early, there's hope.

The other problem is equally as bad...spinal degeneration. The spine is classified as moderate to severe degeneration (vertabrae rubbing on vertabrae) and it's very painful; I take narcotics to maintain a level of comfort but they may bump me up to morphine.

I'm only in my forties and on the outside I look YOUNG. I don't look disabled, except that I'm walking labored. It's hard when you're still sorta young on the outside but the body is messed up on the inside. I'm now classified as "100% disabled" and am applying for social security disability, per the doctor's suggestion.

Funny thing that I've discovered is the amazing sense of peace and assurance I feel despite all of this.

I'm a teacher and miss being in my classroom. Now, it's all gone. I so miss it!

Yet, despite all of this...I feel so wonderfully comforted by the Holy Spirit.

Whoever you are who's praying for me....thank you. I'm just blown away by your intercession!

Cats that was a blessing from God. I wonder where the males mate was?

My daughter has cerebral palsy and called me last month telling me that a wild 6 point buck had walked up to her and ate out of her hand. He even posed for pictures of her feeding him. He came back to her everyday for a week and last I heard he has not been back since. What is so odd about this is that since she has cerebral palsy she has poor balance and coordination and the deer still stood with her feeding him.

Amen, Gary!

Patsy, I didn't know your daughter had CP...I used to have a good friend who had it bad.

I wonder...if God speaks to the heart of the animal and guides them to do certain things?

I mean, that big male heron did such an uncommon thing...and showed absolutely NO FEAR!

Sounds like the deer your daughter fed was fearless and assured...God must have given him peace.

I don't recall the verses but God seemed to speak to the heart of the animals of the Ark so they wouldn't be afraid and would peacefully enter the ark and remain calm and unafraid.

TOO COOL!

Cats, I do believe God speaks to the animals and helps people at certain times. You are sick and needed an extra boost and I believe that is why God sent the male Heron call to you. I believe He sent the buck to my daughter because she had just fallen and cut a deep cross in her knee.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
