Is anybody else getting the eerie feeling that the end is so close you can touch it?

I just have an undeniable feeling about it.

I had a dream the other night, it said something along the lines of in the end darkness will disguise itself as light. I can't just shrug that kind of thing off. That was a downright spiritual thing. Anyway, what are your thoughts and feelings?

I'm nervous and excited!

I think some people are way too obsessed with "the end times." I personally believe that God gave us Christians the opportunity to enjoy heaven on earth, and if you dwell too much on what you perceive as evil and are looking forward to the day when it all ends, I don't think you're livin' the way you ought to.

I think there are always people who are going to say that they think the "rapture" is coming soon. I tend to wonder though if the "rapture" is going to be like the movies portray. People back in Jesus' time thought His birth was going to be a big event...that's why alot of people refuse to believe that Jesus is actually the Messiah. Sometimes I wonder if we've got the rapture and all that follows wrong as well...

Wow - that's an excellent point. I think you've probably got it right... that... truly - we'll never even know when it comes unless we just KNOW. Jesus' deciples knew he was the messiah.... how? A hundred thousand little things. right?

I don't know when but i do know it is near. Could be within 10 yrs or 100 yrs. I think there are several reasons we believe it is near. One is so many (endtime) or (last days) scriptures seem to be fulfilling right in front of our eyes. Another is we have been taught by scriptures that the Lord is coming soon and we need to be ready and looking.

Now for us American christians.......I think it seems really close because America has been like the only christian nation on the earth. We are a super power of nations and have been for all our lives but now we see it slipping away. We see sin celebrated and called good and we see christain thinking old fashion and an evil biggoted way of life. A child might get kicked out of school for reading a bible but the homosexual child has rights to be open about his or her sexuality. We see many our so called christian leaders caving in to compromise and trying to get the church rich with money while a meltdown of our way of life is happening all around.

1 Timothy 4: 1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Also look at all the cults that have spawned from the twisting of scripture.........so much so that many of us can't even find a church that preaches Christ and him crucified anymore. The power of God is the message of the cross but the American church has left that and chased after strange meat because it's the in thing. The leaders are saying we are in the endtime and a great revival will happen right before Jesus comes back but that is a lie. The Bible clearly teaches us that right before Jesus comes back there will be great apostacy(if that's how ya spell it)

I love America and I don't know when the true endtimes are(even though I believe we are in it) but it seems that America is in it's own endtime.

I think we are close...much closer than what people think..I would say in the next 10 years...but then again...I could be wrong...that is just my gut feeling...

I must admit I find it all a bit scary and overwhelming. Just being honest, so don't blast me out!

I think we are close...much closer than what people think..I would say in the next 10 years...but then again...I could be wrong...that is just my gut feeling...

I believe this also. I was driving down the road the other day pondering about what the mark of the beast might be. I thought to myself, national ID. I've never thought about it before and it was the first thing to pop into my head for some strange reason. Low and behold what do I hear on the news that very night? the debate on national ID cards!

I'm not sure how this will pan out but I'm sure God wants us to heed the warning signs that are all around us and be on guard and prepared for his glorious return.

I'm not sure if there will be a rapture or we will have to live through the tribulation but one thing I do know, our faith must hold strong!

Are we worrying about this to much, I wouldn't think so. I'd like to think that we are seeing the red flags and not ignoring God's signs. I'm having things like this come into my head, that has never happened before. I'm not sure what exactly is happening but I feel truly blessed that God is showing himself to me in these small yet powerful ways.

Didn't Christ say something to the effect (paraphrasing) of leaving tomorrows cares for tomorrow because today has plenty on its own?

Yes, He sure did! In Matthew 6:34 He said,

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,

for tomorrow will worry about its own things.

Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
