Well it would be nice if no one disagreed with with anyone, but it would also be pretty dull. However I will say this though, if you don't agree with somebody, be sure you can show why you disagree, by being able to post scripture that will qualify the reason for challenging.

In other words, preach the word ; be instant in season, out of season;rebuke, reprove, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 2Tim. 4:2.

cheers.

Naw. I'll argue with anyone. But, I confess, with some posters I like get a little tongue-in-cheek and see how far they'll go defending an idea. It's all in fun, and with the exception one or maybe two here, I'd have you all over to my place for coffee and blintzes.

You can't post for a long time on a board like this without getting to really appreciate certain ones here and it is easy to look at who is writing before answering.

There are some that I just wouldn't want to disagree with if I considered that it was this or that one that wrote this or that, but that can cause us to favor a person and leave a potential error unchallanged, or an alternate viewpoint unwritten, so...

I am trying to respond to the posts prior to looking at who wrote the post.

Some folks here are difficult to visit with, and I am sometimes one of those folks, but it is natural to me to speak up if I disagree...

What do you think?

I do understand what you are saying, and I apologize for any time I have been difficult to visit with. God has taught me a great deal through Worthy. When I first joined I would tend to read the post, look at who posted it, then reply or not accordingly. However, now, I tend to read the post and reply without first seeing who the poster is. If I get an insulting response, then I take note of who the poster is. If that particular poster shows a pattern of insulting ways I tend to avoid conversation with that poster.

If I have learned anything from these boards it is that everyone has their own beliefs and is entitled to them. The posters I tend to stay away from are those who ridicule and insult when they don't agree.

I post what I feel in my heart. If someone doesn't agree with me, that is absolutely okay by me; just don't insult my input or call me names. Just share your belief on the subject at hand, and I'm okay with that. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions.

I must admit though - there have been a few posters that I have a difficult time visiting with, so I just don't engage conversation with them. But, for the most part, I must say that my experience here on Worthy Boards has been grand. I have learned a lot and am looking forward to learning a lot more.

Well, that's my two cents. I must get ready for work now. I hope you all have a great day.

:whistling::noidea::thumbsup:

I think you bring up a really good point, and I think I need to work on treating every poster equally. Usually when I am in a thread, things tend to break out into different "sides", if you can call them that, with differing opinions. I tend to comment specifically on posts by the other "side", even if I don't completely agree with a post that someone from my "side" . Like you have said, I find there are times where I don't reply the same way to someone who I generally agree with, or someone that I sometimes agree with and sometimes disagree with. I tend to be tentative and try not to offend too much with certain people, whereas for other people anything seems to go at times :whistling:

I certaintly need to work on treating every post the same way, but it's hard to do that sometimes. I must admit, as soon as I see who wrote a post, I can oftentimes predict what they are roughly going to say.

Being fairly new here on WorthyBoards, I can't say as I have actually judged anyone based on what I know of them. However, I think I am able to put my personal feelings aside and judge the merits of a person's post based on the comments they make. Being a moderator on another (non-Christian) site requires me to put my personal feelings aside and judge a post on its merits, regardless of whether the person is a friend or foe, a Christian or an atheist.

That said, if I know the poster well enough, I can usually judge the style of their post and know who is making a reply even without looking at their profile.

I know I will never agree with everyone all the time. So, the approach I take is to try and treat everyone With whom I disagree with respect.

Sounds good, but what is (or are?) blintzes? (how to derail your own thread :whistling: Opps)

Blintzes are a crepe like pancake that are typically rolled and filled with fruit

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
