A true saint will never "walk away" from Grace....the new creature availeth much.

The words of a man supported only by taking Scripture out of context of all Scripture.

Of course you have scripture that clearly says as much????

There are no Scriptures that support your false doctrine. Your the one who wrote that they were never saved. Those are your words, The Bible doesn't say that they weren't saved you did. Do you understand that? You are adding your words.

Heb 6:4-6

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

(KJV)

If someone is going to fall away from something (in this case salvation) they have to be there. And just like with Christ we all receive that heavenly gift after we are saved, and baptized as our public confession of our faith.

His Son and Blindseeker, I may be mistaken but I think y'all are on the same side of the fence. I think we misread His Son's post because he didn't differentiate between a quote and his words. I may be wrong but maybe you both should restate your position.

Peace,

Wayne

Hey, that makes way to much sense for a Calvinist.

Calvinst Rule book:

Rule #1: If it makes sense than its has to be false.

Rule #2: If it requires something on my part then its absolutely false.

Rule #3: If you can convince yourself that your saved then your truly saved.

Rule #4: Repentance and Obedience to God is optional.

Rule #5: God picks and chooses unconditionally those he wants to love and hate.

Rule #6 God pick and chooses unconditionally those whom he wants to give eternal life and eternal hell too. (Saved by Luck)

Rule #7: God forces us to love and serve him with out our will or choice.

Rule #8: Evangelism is a waste of time because God has already predetermined those who will and will not be saved.

Rule #9: If a brother or sister falls away into horrible sins then we will deny they were christians to begin with; if they come back we will say that they were just backslidden and saved the whole time.

Rule #10: "Sinners Prayer" is our initial key to salvation rather then Repentance, Faith and Baptism.

etc....

You are mistaken HisSon, I never such a thing nor do I believe such. Better go back and check and find out who you are supposed to be saying such to . . . it isn't me.

Nevertheless, my questions still remains.

"his portion with the unbelievers"

If he was to get something reserved for unbelievers only, then I see it's clear he's an unbeliever.

No, I know of no scripture that says.." a true saint will never walk away from grace."

But, as this debate has dragged on, plenty of scriputre has been explained that clearly teaches such a fact!

One clear method of issue dodging in debate is to attack the opposing debator, such as character slander.( I'm adding words to scripture!)

Why not tell me what one is saved from if they were "in grace" but then "walked away"?

I suppose you all agree that saved is synonymous with having eternal life and with being born again of God; so if one once has this, and "loses it" as you all say one can.......

THEN

WHAT WAS THIS ONE EVER SAVED FROM!

Saved is definitely a New Test. term. What ever do you suppose God meant!?

SAVED...lost...SAVED....lost...SAVED...........how may times?

Logic here is twisted for you guys, Saved connotates a permanent

state of being!

And....scripture clearly teaches this!

Hello Carl,

I just going to make a submission of scripture here . . .

  • Mt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.
I suppose you all agree that saved is synonymous with having eternal life and with being born again of God;

No, I would equte it as being synonmous as having the promise of eternal life . . .

1Ti 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

2Ti 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

1Jo 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

The fact that we are born again simple denotes we have been brought back into fellowship with Jesus, who is our life. That is the "the life that now is" of I Tim 4:8. But of we forsake Him for a life of sin again then He will forsake us.

As you know, there are those who are twice dead . . .

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
