Of all the things I've ever lost, I think I miss my mind the most.

And there's this: I haven't lost my mind -- its backed up on tape somewhere!

I hope you won't lose the tape! :)

I lost my car door remote for three months. When the snow melted, my Sister-in-Law found it on the path leading to her back door

Did you ask people to pray for you to find it?

Actually, no...I prayed myself...but secretly I was still hoping that it would turn up if I just did a thorough cleaning of my Jeep (it wouldn't have been the first time it had fallen under a seat).

This is a classic!

My big sister had come home for the Christmas holidays (in the '80's) with her fiance for the family to meet for the first time. Our house was smack bang beachfront- 3 minutes from the ocean, anyway, we were all swimming and having fun down the beach until my sister noticed her engagement ring was not on her finger anymore. Beside herself, she started searching everywhere on the beach as well as did the rest of the family. New fiance was not impressed as he had scraped hard to buy that ring (they were both Bible College students at the time.)

Anyway, we searched for hours but of course it was futile.

A few days later we were hanging out at the beach again but this time knowing all hope was gone concerning the ring................

I was walking along and looking at the sand and saw something glinting up ahead....I ran to where it was shining and lo and behold..there was the diamond ring sitting upright in the sand as if it were in the ring box!

I was around 12 at the time and wrote that episode in my diary. It was simply amazing.

I was in Las Vegas of all places attending a tradeshow and lost my wallet. There were credit cards and about $200 cash inside. A lady found it and saw the credit card type hotel key inside. She eventually found me and brought it to me with everything still in it. Amazing! Lost my wallet in sin city and it was found by an ANGEL!

Did you ever lose something and find it again?

Well I found my keys back, they were lost for 4 days and I asked people to pray and just a few minutes ago I found them back in a coat pocket in the car from my daughter underneath school stuff.

Praise God!

haha There you go! That's a big relief! I just read about a man who found his wallet after about 58 years!!!

coooooool, i thought it was good i got mine back after just three months..... while in the navy in Pax River Md, on payday (July 30, 1979), i went at noon and cashed my check, and loaded my wallet.... that evening, paid a couple bills ( motorcycle and phone) and then went riding with my room mate.... me on my bike and him on his, up and down 301 and 5.......

the next morning, i woke up and my wallet was gone..... three days before i was to go on leave (vacation)

all my money i had for leave was gone..... my other room mate loaned me some cash for the trip, but i could not drive, no license, no registration, no insurance papers and no gas money or motel money.... he loaned me enough for a round trip ticket on a bus ( about what the gas money would have cost me)

when i got back, i managed to get him paid back the next pay day, but then had to skimp and save to get enough to do other obligations (such as food)... a month and half went by and got every thing caught back up.....

Oct 30, 1979, a guy yells at me after lunch, having received my paycheck, it had been cashed....

Hey Mke!.

did you loose something?????

no, dont think so.....

I think i have your wallet here, are you sure you didnt loose something????

instantly i reached back (with a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach) and said, nope,(feeling total relief) got it right here.....

well, whos wallet is this and he holds it out as he walks up to me....

my eyes must have looked like dinner plates, and as I picked my jaw up off the ground, i took the wallet, and thanked him and stuck it in my pocket..... I asked how he came to have it, he said some one turned it in about a week earlier......said they had found it........ then he asked me if everything was in it.....

I opened it, and low and behold, every penny ( as best i could judge) was still there......

I looked at him ( MA1 (Master At Arms first class) and told him, that i guess being honest with the wallets i have found in the past paid off....

anyways, i know one wallet, only had 7 bucks in it, but another, had much more, and a few of them had nothing in them other then D.L. and creditcards and such......

even now, more so now, i have no problems ensuring peoples personal property gets back to them as best i can.....

mike

Its nice to see there are still honest people :noidea:

I know that gut feeling when you lose something!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
