Looking for a reason

Dear Afal,

Sometimes when we are in such misery and feel so hopeless we need something that we can DO to help ourselves. It is NOT God that is opening this deep hole of misery and grief before you. You are in a battle for your very life and mind. You must win. Winning brings glory to God.

There are some things you can actually DO that will help you in mind and spirit. You have to make the choice to Do them. As you make that choice God WILL come through and give you strength in mind and spirit.

First of all you need to know that you are not different. There is nothing that you have experienced that is beyond God's healing person. Satan is making you feel that your past is different and so horrible and that you are so alone that nothing can be done. That is simply NOT true.

Afal, make the choice to say outloud to God all through the day that you are trusting him. That no matter what happens you are trusting him to come through for you. Just keep saying through your tears and sobs, I am trusting in you LORD. I am trusting in you God. If nothing works out I am still trusting in you.

Next Afal, Praise God. Tell him how wonderful He is that He is PRESENT with you. Thank HIM for angels all about you protecting you. Thank Him for yourself and your belief in HIM. Thank Him for anything you can think of. Then Praise HIM. Come out of yourself and LOOK to HIm and PRaise HIM.

We receive all things from God through faith. As you look to him and trust him and thank him and praise him........all out loud, you are going to get relief.

I pray that you begin even now. Only you can choose this freedom.

Come on Afal. Come on with Jesus. We are believing with you. We are in agreement with you that God is coming through for YOU!

Hey Afal first thing is this it would help a great deal if you gave use something to work with as far as what is happening with you. Everything you have given is rather vague and makes it hard for some one to give you any advice.

The only advice I can give you is this, draw even closer to the lord. You said your not capable of dealing with the problems its become more then you can handle, so put it in gods hands let him deal with it. God controls every thing in the universe, he keeps every thing in perfect order, if he can do that then your problems are nothing to him. So put your faith in him, turn your problems over to him.

The other adivce I want to give you is find a new pastor. The role of a pastor is more then just being a preacher. We are supposed to be able to go to them in times of need. A Pastor may not have the ability to help use but they are charged with showing people compassion. This means when some one comes to them for help there supposed to do everything in there power to help that person. Now while there maybe limites to how much they can help but there two things they can do and are supposed to do above all else, listen to use and pray for use. They are supposed to hear are problems and use the word of god to guide use in times of trouble.

If you have a pastor that says there is nothing he can do for you and that he is out of his depth then how can he minister to people. My belief is that while a pastor may not be able to do anything, even they have there limites. Yet they can listen to use and pray for use if nothing else. No pastor should ever look at some one and say there is nothing I can do for you. No pastor should send gods children away saying there is nothing they can do. Ministers are spiritual leaders, are friends, and as I stated there is always something they can do for use, which is to listen and pray for use.

That is the only advice I can really offer.

You should not have lost everthing dear to you because GOd is still there, right?

Did you lose family? frineds?

Why did the pastor say he couldnt help you? help you with what?

Sometimes doctors are wrong. Do you think you are depressed? If you have no will to live, then you are depressed, ( I am a doctor too!!)

Jim, , that was such a nice post, I needed to reply! Yes! You know the Love of Christians by their actions towards one another. This is the perfect example of love one another, as Christ loves you.

I am praising God that no matter how hopeless you think the situation is at this time He has already helped you through the worse...now it is just the shadows /memories that hurt and shadows have no substance if you do not let them hold you

I am praising God that He will never let you go and when you cannot hold on to Him He will hold onto you

I am praising God that this is NOT eternity ...if you hold onto God and allow Him to hold onto you you will find an eternity of happiness is just waiting for you ...think of all those who will only know an eternity of hell far worse that that which you are going through at the moment

I am praising God that He allows me to call you sister and to be family to you if you will allow it

I am praising God that He is capable of lifting you up and giving you purpose back in your life

I am praising God that He knows our needs and will supply our wants in His time
