I was just wondering about Christians opinions on Gays.

If two Gays ran a shop should we patronise it?

How should we talk to Gays?

Well what kind of shop are they open for bussiness for?

How do you know they are gay? How did you find out?

Does their shop advertise that they are gay run business or open for the general public?

Examine yourself your ideas about the Bible tells you should do?

Gay bashing will not bring them to Christ, love will.

How do you want people to treat you?

Show respect to other and you gain their trust. Gain their trust they will resepect your love for Christ and at least think about change. Change first happens in the mind. Its not an overnight thing its a process.

There are no easy answers but you must first remove the speack from your own eye before judging others.

why do you try to single out one type of person because of their life style?

Do you still consider people of ethnic backgrounds sinnners still too?

This should not be a gay issue. It should be about how do respect others with defferent beliefs and values.

IF they are openingly sinning and they refuse to hear God's word and what you want to share about it than need to repect them and leave them alone because God will be the Judge of their character not you. Besides you already know what your opinon is on this and you should pray about it and follow what God is telling you do.

How will you treat them when they do repent of their ways and follow God according to the Bible?

Ray I agree with you.

The comments I've heard face to face from some Christians is that they needed a good bashing. These comments were from 18 year old boys who came from strong Christian homes.

The shop they owned was a superette. Them being Gay would not stop me shopping there.

As for myself, the Gays I've met, I've treated with respect and they treated me with respect, even after knowing I was a Christian.

Personally I wouldn't shop there if i didn't have to. Some things seem to go so wrong with gay people ie deminor, moral issues I just prefer cleaner simpler people. I hope not to offend. Also it would be out of the question for me to shop there if there were pervese items on sale etc... would just rather avoid those things.

as many other people have already said here they are still people and we are as sinful as they are and we need to remember that, and if we dont talk to them and try and share the word of God with them, who will? and if no one does then what hope do they have in the long run? i personal have nothing agaisnt gays they are often the kindest and most caring people around one of my really good friends is a gay and is not ashamed to admit it at all and for that he has my upmost respect they are given way to much greif for a simple sin its past time that we stoped treating them like un touchables and started treating them with the love and care that they deserve

1 John 4:7-8

Beloved let us LOVE ONE ANOTHER. For LOVE is of God. And anyone that LOVETH KNOWETH GOD. He that LOVETH NOT KNOWETH NOT GOD for God is love.

THis is the only way to reach anyone and I don't see where gays are excluded.

Telling everyone you know about their perverse lifestyle and trying to run them out of business is HATEFUL and anyone who acts this way does not know God. Plain and simple.

If you've somehow decided that the gay shopkeeper is your enemy, you are wrong, first of all because satan is the enemy. The gay person is a victim of perverse thinking caused by satan. We war against darkness, not humans.

And besides even if you have made an enemy out of them, and I'm sure you have Axxman, you are to PRAY FOR YOUR ENEMIES. Do GOOD to them!

I'm sorry for being so blunt but I'm just getting fed up with so-called Christians who hate and try to cause damage to other people. If you are doing this, then you are also the victim of perverse thinking caused by satan, however, you have the benefit of the Bible and scripture to know this and do better.

If someone were to ask me how I tolerate gays, it would probably be more truthful of me to say that I don't 'tolerate' gays at all............I don't think that the word 'tolerate' is the right word to use when dealing with people on a one-to-one level.

They are people, after all.

Though I don't agree whatsoever with the homosexual lifestyle. I personally find it repulsive, as a 'normal' guy, plus I have my bible to tell me that the act is an abomination to God. But when dealing with a homosexual person, personally, I would certainly treat them with a level of respect and consideration due to any other human being, unless they were, for example, either trying to harm my family, or insistent upon foisting their 'alternative' lifestyle upon us.......demanding that I accept their outlook. I would certainly resist this......As I resist the homosexual agenda, per se.

But a person is a person.

I like what artsylady said: We war against darkness, not humans. .......our battle is not against flesh and blood....but against principalities and powers in the heavenly realms. As Christians, I think we should try to treat all people with respect, at the same time, resisting any 'foreign' teaching that they try to pass on to us.....just as we would do regarding any other people and any other sin.

As regards shopping in a 'gay' shop.......I would probably not, if I could avoid it. Certainly not if it was a food shop, anyway.

But I am certainly able to 'tolerate' a gay person more than I would be able to tolerate, say, a burglar who broke into my home at night, intending or threatening harm or to steal my things.

Telling everyone you know about their perverse lifestyle

Not telling them is like hiding our light under a bed. We have to speak what God tells us, it's our Christian duty.

and trying to run them out of business is HATEFUL and anyone who acts this way does not know God.

...or isn't a very loving Christian. "With what measure we use..."

I would shop there, depending on store content, simply because they are humans who need to survive on this earth like we do.

I wouldn't go out of my way to avoid shopping there, but if there was a Christian runned shop nearby I would shop their instead. That has nothing to do with the homosexual ownership though, I would shop at a Christian runned store over any other store if I could, homosexual-run or otherwise.

I mean there are people here equating gays with disabled persons?? Yikes. Is that what they teach in college now?

Hah. No, trust me on that one. We learn how to not join the army, so we don't go and get killed. [true story.]

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
