Just curious. Maybe it was towards the end of the Bible. Paul losing his his sight?

Have any miracles happened since the events of the Bible?

Miracles don't happen anymore since biblical times (none are proven, right?) If someone claimed a miracle 1000 years ago or today, it's suspect for not being the Bible, correct?

Thanks for any info.

I suppose that would depend on just WHO defines 'miracle' and HOW they define it. Some will insist that miracles happen, but they are all of the devil now! Others will steadfastly deny they happen anymore at all. However MOST Christians will tell you that many tremendous miracles are still happening today.

I have a friend who will tell you he was raised from the dead at my prayers. I have had broken bones instantly healed. Would you call these miracles?

I do.

Are you asking about the last recorded miracle in the bible?

My brother and his girlfriend recently came back from a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. While there, one of the women my bro's girlfriend was working with had severely swollen ankles (a chronic condition of hers). My bro's girlfriend prayed for the woman's ankles to be healed. Quite literally, then and there, the swelling went down, the ankles were normal, and she could walk without pain.

On the night of one of their outdoor crusades, it began to rain. Now, in the DR, rain comes in two forms - on and off. "On" means downpour. So, when the rains began, a group of them prayed together for the Lord to hold back the rain. Almost instantly, it stopped raining.

Coincidences or miracles? :emot-hug:

IN BIBLICAL TIMES

"Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children."

Isaiah 66:8

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

2 Timothy 3:1-5

Wow Dear Brother

Things Almost To Wonderful To Think Upon

I'll Just Check The Good Book

Look - We Are In Biblical Times

:o

Oh No - Reads Like Today's News

The Beginning Of Sorrows

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Matthew 24:4-8

Our God

Forever And Forever Amen

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Hebrews 13:8-9

His Commandment To Those That Believe

In My Name

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Mark 16:15-20

Jesus Our Glory

It Shall Be Done

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

John 15:4-8

I do.

I would be very interested in hearing about these things, Leonard. Would you mind posting details?

Bear in mind that I am not expressing scepticism here. I believe that miracles can and do happen today, since we are still living in 'biblical' times.

Why would the age of miracles have ended?

Jesus said that his followers would do the same things He did. He also said that the 'antichrist' would perform 'miracles'

Anyway, I believe that the act of regeneration is itself a miracle. And that even life itself is a miracle.

My favorite bumper sticker: "Expect a Miracle Today"

I absolutely believe that miracles happen in today's times. Miracles, signs, etc. For me, personally, what others might view as coincidence, I view as miracles. Being at one of my lowest points, crying in prayer in my backyard at night, looking up to the heavens at the exact moment to see two shooting stars (or meteors, etc.) shooting across the night sky over my head. God speaking to me and only me at the exact moment I needed him to remind me that when all else has taken from me, He is still with me. Simple example - yes. A miracle for me - yes.

Praise God.

Miracles don't happen anymore since biblical times (none are proven, right?) If someone claimed a miracle 1000 years ago or today, it's suspect for not being the Bible, correct?

Thanks for any info.

You're starting this from the assumption that miracles don't happen anymore today, which is not really an assumption you can just expect everyone to accept as fact.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
