-Well this post I am quoting speaks for itself for though you did not mention names...you quoted both me and my wife here and said in your post we had an unwelcome agenda...so lets not be mistaken here...if you were not talking about us, then why did you quote us?

I am gonna express my views here at Worthy Boards. I should not have to wait till I know everyone, or some, before I can post on threads giving my two cents, or even starting threads.

Salutations in the Lord! As far as I know I have not been pushing any denom view...I do not believe in denoms...I attend the Church I attend because I like what God is doing there...though I tend to agree with preety much all their views...This thread was simply to discuss the Biblical priniciples of rebuking as the Bible teaches.

Now be honest...in those other threads such as the on on watching television...did I once say that if people did not hold my view they were hell bound? No I did not...not once...why..cause some things are personal convictions....I am bold in my witness sir...but I am not the kind of person who says repent you sinner right now or your gonna burn....that is not how I do it one bit...but of course you would not know that...cause you do not know me...I have a tender heart for the lost...and yes I do Minister to them...I go when and where God opens the Doors for me...if you knew me at all you would know that right now we are without a car...so I cannot do much for God except in the Online part of our Ministry...but of course again...you did not know that cause you do not know me...

Now if someone is batently out of line with Gods Word...yes I let them know that staying out of line like they are will lead them to hell, and show them the Truth of Gods Word....

Alas...I will not be talking about this personal matter anymore on the boards..I will read whatyou have to say through emails...I do not see as to where this would be Good for Christ for the lost to see this sort of thing...

Why shouldn't a wife support her husband if she thinks he is right?

OK, to be serious this time . . .

I do wonder at times about the Biblical way we are to deal with problems on these boards. The fact that discussion boards have their own unique format, which is different from other forms of social interaction, it is a little more difficult to divide what is best kept in private and what is best presented in the open.

The nature of an internet discussion board is for people to share thoughts and interact with such. So, what if someone is out of line, or we believe is out of line? Are the moderators to be as pastors of a church and kick out everyone preaching a doctrine that is against their creed? Are they the only ones who have the right to rebuke and correct? Of what use then is a discussion board?

But at what point is enough enough? Do we need to spend 10+ pages of posts arguing the same point over with each other or certain members? And what of the athiests who came in to prove a point? Some responses to them I have buried my face in my hands over! But what if the person who to me is in the wrong keeps pounding out the same line (lie) over and over and over. . . .

I often struggle with this.

But what if we don't respond? Rebuke in private messages of error posted in public? Is that reasonable/feasable?

For instance, when a seemingly decent Christian starts presenting the message - with Scriptural back-up - that Jesus is not the Son of God, as happened not too long ago, how can we leave that up on the public board unanswered? And if we did PM to rebuke in private . . . well, based on her answers, I'd see a continual PM battle going on. Is that a good thing to have?

Or another poster saying to a young man with a struggle that m*st*rb*tion is a perfectly OK thing to do? I wanted so bad to see that post rebuked/answered, but then the whole thread got deleated. Is it right for me as a young woman to rebuke an older man in PM for that comment because no one else did that I could see?

So, yes, I do wonder about these kinds of questions constantly. I do wonder how to actually fit the Biblical mandate for rebuking within the context of these message boards.

Yes these are good questions and ones worthy of consideration. I believe such questions... and suitable responses to certain posts test our Christian walk. That is one of the good points of these boards.

Let's make worthy truly Christ reflected....so that those who drop in... not only get welcomed... but get to know Jesus a little better thru those who frequent this board.
