I hope you will go back and read the whole thread. EVERY parent and grandparent in this nation should be aware of PP's agenda. Frankly, I can't believe that an organization can "legally" promote and target kids/teens with this stuff openly and get away with it! Parents and grandparents should be outraged.

I am outraged! I've visited their web site and seen some of the literature they are foisting on teens, and others.

I know that some people here don't have the highest opinion of planned parenthood. A friend of mine works with them, and is willing to field questions about misconceptions about the organization (Planned Parenthood).

For example, what do you do, prioirities concerning adoption vs abortion, general policy on conception, etc. He will be here all day.

are you encouraged (or for that matter, even ALLOWED) to talk about the biblical perspective of sex with your clients?

Response: "First off, in regards to your comments on rape victims and their options, I would have to agree with the fact that there is going to be an emotional disturbance, however, I am going to trust feedback from victims more so than a movie (not an attack, only defence) and to answer your question, yes, if some one who comes to me I can in fact tell them about christian organizations available (as mentioned in my last answer I am aware of one which we do send people to.)

I also know people who work for Planned Parenthood. They are not horrible people, and most of them are in it for what they feel are good reasons. At the local level these jobs don't pay much. For me the basic problem simply comes down to two things, abortion being number one and that has been talked to death I think, and the attitude toward marriage family and sexual purity being the second.

Does Planned Parenthood endorse healthy marriage as a good thing? Do they provide accurate information about the tremendous health benefits to adults and children from raising children within marriage? From what I have seen they don't, there seems to be a subtle value judgment that the nuclear family is almost somehow bad and that young adults who want to lead lives of sexual purity are foolish, unrealistic or lying. I have seen that attitude among Planned Parenthood staff.

Also if you read Planned Parenthood fundraising literature that comes out of the national office, they seem to be obsessed with what they call religious fundamentalists, it is used in a derogatory way, it is an obvious world view that is intrinsically in opposition to Christian moral teachings.

I guess because abortion is leagal in the US, and there is no legal consequennces for people working in or volunteering at the facilities, you thought it would be okay to bring them here, and we could glean wisdom from them because they beleive they are a christian.

I do not feel that sexual orientation is a choice, nor abortion a sin. to say that you are taking life seems odd to me. we were only considered to have life once we were given free will, a sentient form of thought. This is not present in an unborn child untill AFTER it would be to late to abort.

sounds like a true bible believing christian to me.

Just call me a closed mided religious freak, but I don't need to glean any more information to know that abortion is murder!

oh yeah, it is in my sig line, but watch this video and tell me that the child being aborted is not screaming out of his own free will.
