Halloween Is Coming Up

Okay, Halloween is two months and a week away. Do any of you have any ideas for how to turn this holiday into a night where more souls are added to the Lamb's Book of Life? This year, it falls on a Wednesday night.

I'm going to continue giving candy and tracts to any trick-or-treaters that come to my home (though last year we only had three. ). God is transferring me to another church, so I don't know what my new church will be doing.

There'll be one or two churches in the nearly city that'll be having a judgement house.

Do you have any ideas?

It was fun when I was a kid. I never thought of it as something evil.

Just kids having fun playing "let's pretend". And that's still fun for adults

too. I suppose that it has its' roots in paganism. Maybe on the other hand

though it kind of reveals ourselves. I wonder why we see so many "devils"

and "witches" rather than angels. I thought the idea was to pretend to be what

we really aren't!

Just kidding.

Halloween is pretty much a thing of the past around where I live.

Very very few kids are out trick or treating.

Our small group does something we call Halloweenies

We hand out hot-dogs and drinks to the parents who bring their kids around. When they ask why we are doing it, we tell them it is to demonstrate the love of God.

In the past we had a Hallelujah Party and had games singing (christian songs) and food.

At home I give out stuff from the local christian bookstore, pencils rubbers etc all with a message on them.

This year, I might give trick-or-treaters some small toys from the local Christian book store along with the candy and Gospel tract.

A couple of years ago, my church took the kids trick-or-treating, but the kids gave the homeowers a Gospel tract as they got candy.

Put up a big cross in your front yard. Paint it bright white and put a spot light on it while you are playing Christain music and dress like Moses.
