The fight against Bin Laden and his ilk will end in one of four ways: he gets everything he wants (never, ever happen), he kills everyone who disagrees with him, he converts, or he dies. And by "he", I mean everyone who embraces the fanatacism he embodies.

I would be leary of the snake oil being peddled about that Islam has a positive view of Mary and Jesus based on the Koran. For one thing, conversion from Islam to Christianity brings the death penalty in Muslm countries. Secondly, Islam denies Jesus' Deity, denies that Jesus died or was even crucified, and denies that Jesus is the son of God.

Any positive view of Jesus or Mary that appears in the text, is purely superficial. If they really believed that Jesus was a prophet, they would believe his own words, particularly about His Deity, AND about his own death and resurrection. The positive regard given to Mary and Jesus is selective and is ultmiately useless in that it is not enough to keep someone from being put to death for regarding Mary and Jesus in accordance to the Bible. It is a case of people regarding Jesus on their own terms, and not on how he really is.

When all is said and done, Isalm hates the Jesus of the Bible, and His teachings. But as shown in this transcript, Musliims really believe that they can play off of the gullibility of the west.

Oh, I disagree. He is -very- much a coward. He talks big, hiding behind babies, and in caves... and allows his deluded and brainwashed dupes to do all the dangerous stuff for him. Bin Laden is the very definition of coward.

Read the last paragraph or two of the transcript. These are the same words I have read from Muslims who have visited this Board. Jesus may be "revered," but He is regarded as a mere prophet, not God incarnate, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, the Lord of glory.

I can never respect that lie.
