I have read the Koran. Christ and Mary are highly regarded in in.

But how is a lie showing respect?

Read the last paragraph or two of the transcript. These are the same words I have read from Muslims who have visited this Board. Jesus may be "revered," but He is regarded as a mere prophet, not God incarnate, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, the Lord of glory.

I can never respect that lie.

I was speaking of the Koran....which I have read...lots of religious groups do not even acknowledge Jesus as a prophet so in this the Muslims are ahead of the game....though that won't get them into heaven.

Yeah, if they believed he was a prophet, they would not kill those who believe in him, and they would believe His words. Clearly their actions betray their alleged "belief."

And the Koran is still selling Him waaaaay short.

Again, in the Koran, Jesus is regarded as a mere prophet, not God incarnate, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, the Lord of glory.

To call Him nothing more than a prophet - and a prophet less than Mohammad at that(!) - is a disrespectful lie.

I agree. I'm not arguing. I am just saying that they at least they acknowlege that he was the prophet. Christians and Muslims are the ONLY religions that do that.

Christians do not acknowledge Jesus as a prophet. We acknowledge Him as God and the very Son of God. The Muslims don't even beleive Jesus' words so they really, in practice, DO NOT believe Him to be a prophet. The fact that they kill exMuslims for converting to Christianity should be enough to tell you that.

I'm honestly glad that Muslims are ahead of the game, cause when it comes to salvation, and Jesus living in our lives, it's not a game.

There are many religions that go against the Deity of Christ, they are all selling themselves short though.

Yes, Islam recognizes Jesus as a prophet. But Hindus and/or Buddhists acknowledge Jesus as a great teacher, which is their form of honor. But they don't get any brownie points either.

What is a prophet? One who foretells future events and/or one who spreads the gospel. Christ fit both definitions.

Christ was indeed a propet and acknowledged that this was so.

Matthew 13

56And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

57And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

Christ was speaking of himself here.

The problem is that the Muslims do not acknowledge Jesus as a "prophet" in the way the office of prophet is presented in the Bible. Jesus operated in the office of prophet, but that is subordinate to the fact that Jesus is God. Like I said, IF they really believed that Jesus was a true prophet, they would not persecute anyone for following him.

No, they consider him A prophet. The prophet they adore is Mohammed.

Quoting Bin Laden:

"The vast majority of you want it stopped (the war). Thus, you elected the democratic party for this purpose, but the democrats haven't made a move worth mentioning"

Oh man...the liberal democrats and the Hollywood elite will be crushed!

This "don't fight us, join us" rant is the same as from any other who is losing...

What Bin Laden can't seem to grasp is that while most Americans do indeed want the war in Iraq to end, they also will never allow terrorist tyrants and oppressors to go unchallenged.

Note to Bin: America will never kneel to terrorisim, nor to your brand of Islam.

Prophets cannot tell a lie. If they tried to, they'd be struck down immediately. To say Jesus was a prophet, but not the great prophet is a superficial thing to say. In essence, this is what the muslim's are saying to Christians:

We believe Jesus was a prophet, but we also believe He was a liar, because He said He died on the cross and we believe He didn't. That whole concept is a contradiction or oxymoron. Like saying "lying prophet."

It doesn't work and any true Christian will never fall for their lies.

Even Atheists believe that Christ lived, they just believe He was a man and not God. So, that puts them in the same boat as muslims and anyone else that denies Christ as our divine Savior.

Usama bin Laden has repeatedly invited Americans to Islam. He is following the stipulation of Muhammad when it comes to warfare with non-Muslims. He is fulling the requirements under Islamic Law (Shariah). Essentially, it is a three-step thing:

1. Invitation to Islam

2. Invitation to pay Jizya tax

3. Fight

see http://al-mahdi.atspace.com/invitations.html to understand the purpose of this invitation and what it all means.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
