As long as we all agree that Jesus died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, for the sins of all mankind, and through him alone is salvation obtained......we'll be just fine. :emot-hug:

So what your stating is we all unit under salvation partly true but not under unity! We will never see world wide revival until we are of one mind and one spirit says the LORD. I DID NOT SAY THIS HE DID.

I would be elated if all denominations could sit down at the table and agree on everything, that's called one mind with Christ.

The body of Christ is so divided and bogged down in mans teachings and not Gods. Jesus will never come back to this earth until his world is preached all over and is now Via T.V. radio etc. Here it is and his body has spot nor wrinkle, he also said this not me. How can this be if a house is divided? ;)

Heres the problem: Are we going to do what the Bible says to do, or are we doing what we want the Bible to say?.

Unity in Islam is an illusion. Why do you think there's such a problem in Iraq right now? Christians may disagree on certain points of human interpretation and doctrine... the various Muslim sects are killing each other over them. Go Unity!

One Lord, one faith, one baptism. Ephesians 4:4-6

We are to be one in the Spirit of Christ (unity) because we are the body of Christ. This is the unity we share. Christ unites us in that we are His bride/the Church...the church is His body and his bride. Belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is what sparks the unity. When you become a part of the body of believers it unites you to us and us to you. Now whether or not we agree that we shouldn't talk about one another, shouldn't fight one another, etc. has already been determined by Jesus Himself in the greatest commandments...to love the Lord our God with all our heart, within all our mind, with all our soul...and to love your neighbor as yourself. Remembering to keep the bond of peace at all cost. When we fail to do that we are walking in disobedience to God.

As people, there will never be unity. We will always find stuff to fight about. I meant that the ONLY true unity the entire body of Christ has is our belief in the sacrificial death, and resurrection of Jesus for the sins of all mankind.

(As people, there will never be unity).

You said this not me and that is what's partly wrong with us today. The bible Say's we will be of one mind and one spirit, now does this sound like unity? Sure does to me, give in and stop this nonsense. Either we lay down our lives for our brother and we lay down our lives for Christ or we are non of him!

As believers yes...we are to have unity. As people, nope. We will always disagree with each other. That's why there are a trillion denominations.

(Stop avoiding the remark I made! God said we would be of one mind and one spirit! Does this sound like a house divided)! :emot-hug:

Yet another great example of taking one verse of Scripture completely out of context to make it suit an argument...real unity starts with real Scripture reading...

I guess thats why 7,000,000 + Islamic people here are united unlike we are in the USA. You are talking about radical Islamics I am talking about the majority of Islam. Seems to me we should gather together and stop trying to say my religion of Christianity is right. I don't see Baptist Islam or Pentecostal Islam etc. In fact I have been in the presence of Islamic people from different countries and they embrace the same Koran! ;) Without strife or argument and they all pray 5 times a day just about in sequence. Iraq you cannot compare them to Islam in general!

Somewhat Jealous of Islam:

Not the religion but the unity!

Can this be achieved in a Christian environment with some 2,000 different doctrines! Is the writing on the wall here mans involvement in changing and adding to Gods word. It is no wonder we cannot agree on much of anything.

Man need more input here! God really needs to intervene here to straighten us all out and get us back on track! ;)

There are sects within Islam. They fight each other all the time

You obviously don't much about Islam. One only needs to study Islamic history to see that Muslims war against each other all the time.

There is NOTHING about Islam to be jealous of.

Darul Salam (House of Peace) definitely looks very united on the outside. Yet ...

Muhammad died of poisoning

Caliph Umar, Othman, Ali (Muhammad's son-in-law) all died by assassination. Othman and Ali by the hands of other Muslims. Ali's sons were brutally murdered by other Muslims.

On the other hand, maybe this "unity" is what will persuade some people to become Muslims.

Exactly. These aren't -extreme- Muslims. These are the Muslims in the areas where the religion was invented (that's right: Invented!). The only reason Muslims in the US, England, and the like arne't just as extreme as their brothers in the founding nations is because unlike the Saudis, Iraqis, Iranis, etc., the Western nations won't tolerate the stoning of those in dissent.

Furthermore, Baptists and Pentacostals also follow a single Bible ( :whistling: ), so I'm not 100% sure what you're point is.

EricH is right, backontrack, The Moslems worship allah, while christians worship the God of the bible. You will never change that. Everyone talks about a revival. A revival of what? Calvinists will never agree with Armenianists, Pre tribbers will never agree with with post tribbers. Besides God's word says that there will be an apostacy, not a revival.

I think the unity. that the bible mentions, is the unity of all christians is that Jesus Christ is the living Son of the Living God, through whom we are able to gain salvation. JMO

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
