I'm just curious if any of you ever feel this battle as you struggle with sin sometimes? One time I was talking with a friend via MSN and he being a non-beliver was telling me a bunch of wrong things and saying also that Satan was part of our creation. Immediately then as I red that my heart was pulsing soo fast and soo loud It felt like I was going to DIE of a HEARTATTACK. I

was so scared I felt my chest and oddly enough my heart wasn't beating as I was feeling it. It was my spiritual heart or maybe even the Holy Sprit telling me NO THIS IS NOT TRUE, don't listen to him!! It was so Commanding, I've never felt anything like that before!

There where times as I struggled being a new born chrsitian where I litterally felt as I struggled with sin that my spirit wanted to literally jump out of my body.

I'm just curiious if any of you have experienced things like this.

Yeah, I've felt that way before.

Recently, I was at K-Mart and I saw a piece of Halloween merchandise in another section of the store. Since I've worked in retail, my stocker instincts kicked in and I took the item to its rightful place. After I was done with that, I found another Halloween product in another section of the store. I went to take it back, but I began feeling the Holy Spirit grieving inside me due to the Halloween section and all the fear surrounding it. After I placed the second item back, I saw yet another item, but I left it alone.

how are you i read your post and what you put down and what Zadok Rox put down and i can relate so well to this

when i pulled away from the industry i use to work in which was the strip clubs and the women i was looking after as a bouncer and had gotten to know even with all the books i had and videos i noticed when i burnt them and said lord help me and allow my eyes only to view what you see fit for me it was hard

as i was only 18 and often i would find my self running to what i was so use to it even got to the point in my life wear i dare not tell a soul what i was struggling with and what i was doing as i slipped so many time wear i would take communion and then i would go back to the same old rubbish even though the holy spirit was pulling at my heart i was allowing my flesh to be fed more than allowing my self to grow in gods word and fed the holy spirit

as i was told that the spirit of god dwells with in and he see what i see he touches what i touch and so on i had to get to a point in my life wear god shook me so hard to wear i saw what i was doing was wrong and it was hurting the holy spirit

even when i was married to a non Christian who my wife was also an x Jehovah wittiness i found my self going back to the books i use to buy once at a news agent and then what i got rid of i found i collected the same junk to the point wear we wear watching porn and then when we went to church we both would put on a mask and only tell those in our church what we wanted them to hear it got to the point wear i was ignoring the holy spirits warning as i was feeling guilty viewing that rubbish and he would convict but i would ignore the holy spirit or block him from laying such a heavy guilt trip on me even when i sat in church on Sunday threw worship the convictions wear so strong that i had to leave twice just to calm down as the holy spirit was wanting me to deal with this and its as if he was saying stop mocking gods word and saying he cant see what is done in the darkness as this is how i thought how can god see what is done in our own private lives away from the body of Christ and those we now

it got to the point wear i even put my first wife in a mens magazine for other men to view her naked body as we needed the money and the money we got payed most of our big bills i even began to somke pot drink and use the drugs i used once and i was clean for 2yrs and hid even this and sevral times went to church smashed of my face and then the arguments came in and then the constant fights we use to have as she would hit like a guy as being around 4 brothers so this is how we sorted our argument at first i did not lash out and just alowed her to get stuck in to me and i took the blows until one day she threw the bong and smashed it and then it was on

this is what destroyed my first marriage as i had just ignored the spirits convictions instead of being open and real and wear i asked if a guy from church can be accountable to wear if i felt my self falling i had some one to ring and pray with and encourage me

in 2001 i was shaken to a point wear i had no excuse but man up and get real and deal with this and nail it to the cross i had to even ask the holy spirit to forgive me as he is a living person living with in me and i told the holy spirit i did not mean to bombarded you with all that rubbish i found my self viewing and holding on to

know when i walk past a news agent store and see those magazines i don't even let my flesh to feed on that old life style i will buy what i need and i also ask the holy spirit to help me and he does and i have several good men that i am accountable to and we support each other with out judging each other and it is so good having these guys around me who are real who are open and we talk openly with out holding back as we are men and we know our own weakness and can help each other so that Satan does not beat us to a pulp and we surrender to the flesh but continually nail it and walk in the freedom that Christ wants us men to walk in

i am not proud of alowing my self to fall like that and i had to deal with even what i did to my wife and we have forgiven each other she is settled with another man my x prays when i talk in mens groups to other men and so does my 10yr old boy as they have seen the changes in me and we are more closser know as friends than we wear as husband and wife

so i hope this also shows you as a man my self i understand and thanks for your post

Yeah its good to hear what both of you have said.. I can't explain it beyond just.. how real it was.. I felt a second heartbeat and I know there is a second person. So now I know that this is the Holy Spirit.

I've also apologized for slipping back into sin and asking for help to subdue my body and its been working great. We are working as a team and things are so much easier now than before. I heard that when we confess Jesus as Lord and ask him to help us personally then the authority or chain of command turns from Body 1, Soul 2.. to Soul is 1st in command then Body 2nd.

From my experience I've felt this in the most realest ways as walking from pavement to grass.

God Bless You ALL!! :emot-nod:

You are not alone Blien,

in my humble opinion there is not one of us who does not experience some sort of struggle from time to time. Those who say they do not, are in a state of perfection and I congratulate them.

So long as you have the conscious awareness that there is a problem then you will be okay, the Helper will guide and strengthen us.

"Therefore put on the whole armor of God,

so that when the day of evil comes,

you may be able to stand your ground,

and after you have done everything, to stand."

(Ephesians 6:12-13 NIV)

so true but remember he is their to guide you he will be your best friend and he will never let you down if you learn to understand who the holy spirit is and see him in this light i can honestly tell you he will change you and he will open up the living word of god to you

may do not see the holy spirit the way i was taught to see him by my spiritual mentor even though most christians do not like benny hinn he has a good book called good morning holy spirit i would recomend you get this book it was the first book i bought but i have so many other books on the holy spirit and these books have helped me under stand that the

holy spirit is as real as we are

many christians that have gotten so luke warm ignore the warings from the holy spirit and sadly some churches even do this to wear they put the holy spirit in a box and do not allow him to do what he is best at doing

two more books that will also help you are these ones i am going to jot down as well and you can get them threw your local christian book store

book 1 Experiencing the holy spirit by Andrew Murray

book 2 growing up spiritually by kenneth E hagin you will still be able to get his books threw your christian book store and they will order this for you

another book that is very good also is holy spirit i hunger for you my partner has my book know in the philippines and sevral other members are reading this book you can get this threw your christian book store

anotherr book that i am about to read once i finish reading the one i am know

this book will encourage you how to pray and cover your self and also teach you how to up lift your pastors and leaders with in your church in prayer as you as a person can help strengthen your leaders against satans attacs as our pastors and our leaders are on the front line and they need to know that we as a body are up lifting them and are standing in the gap for them i do this for my pastor and his wife and for my leaders in my church sevral of us have formed a bond and we constantly go into battle on the behalf of our pastors and leaders

you need to also show respect to these men as its very hard for them and when you learn to see them the way i have learnt by the holy spirit teaching me you will understand more clear of what they have to put up with and will have more respect for them instead of doing what most do and that is put our leaders and minsters down this does not help and i pray that you do not fall on that path wear you constantly pick and winge but have the guts to stand up for these men

the book is called Prayer Shield by c peter wagner a how to intercede for pastors christian leaders and others on the spiritual front line

bit by bit Blien and you will get their what i have noticed people do not read what the topic is about or what the person is seeking and will almost throw things in that do not help encourage or up lift a person i have been coming back to your post just to see what has been said on what you are seeking as i have been keeping you in my prayers you are doing good my friend so i hope these books that i have left for you to look into help you they do not cost much and are very good to have in our collection i always have my bible next to me and a note pad when i am reading a new book as these books will guide you threw gods word as well this is how i do it Blien and it helps me a lot

Hi damo1,

Thought I share with you His Words, and let Him minister to you any slight correction through them so that your witness may be clearer in expressing your faith. Sometimes the things we say, we pick up from others or those we go to church with, and never really consider if it is in the Bible to say or do.

1 Timothy 2: 5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

John 14: 6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 5: 22For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 13: 31Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. 32If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.

John 17: 1These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

Philippians 2: 9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

John 16:13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

John 15:26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: 27And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

2 Corinthians 13: 5Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

John 14: 23Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. 25These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Have you ever noticed how there is not one single invitation to the Holy Spirit? That is because the Holy Spirit is the promise for all those that come to Jesus.

Ephesians 1: 12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. 15Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

So if the indwelling Holy Spirit seeks to point to Jesus Christ... by testifying of Jesus Christ and thereby glorifying Jesus Christ... so are we to also. Yes the Holy Spirit is God, but it is the will of the Father to honor the Son and the Holy Spirit is fulfilling the role not only as the Comforter but as a Divine Witness as well. Jesus Christ is Your Good Shepherd. He is the High Priest to go to in prayer as well as the only mediator between God and man.

Hebrews 4: 12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 14Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

We can only glorify God the Father through the Son. And since the indwelling Holy Spirit seeks to glorify the Son, so should we also. I believe the major misconception given in today's churches is the misuse of this verse below.

Romans 8: 26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. King James Version

We make intercessions for saints but that doesn't mean we should have prayers sent to us. And if you note, the Holy Spirit makes intercessions with groans not uttered.. meaning nothing said. Then one would ask.. how is intercessions are made then by the Spirit? Indirectly. Look at the next verse as it ties in with the first one. Now the "he" that searcheth the hearts that knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit is none other than Jesus Christ.... because "he" maketh intercessions for the saints according to the will of God due to the fact that He is the only mediator between God and man.

So when the Holy Spirit speaks to you, it is done expressly...as in whatever He hears from Jesus, that He shall speak.

1 Timothy 4: 1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

He also can bring into remebrance all things Jesus has taught unto you, but in all respect, Jesus is Your Good Shepherd and He guides you through the Holy Spirit in you. The Holy Spirit is directing your attention and focus on Jesus as in seeking His face as any faithful witness of man would do in pointing to Jesus and not to himself. The relation of the Holy Spirit to Jesus Christ as the Comforter is to assure us that Jesus is with us always.

Matthew 28: 18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Remember John 16:13-15 mentioned above earlier? ..... for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

So all the fruits of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit are from Jesus Christ as He is the one that will finish it.

Hebrews 12: 1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Philippians 1: 6Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: 7Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. 8For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. 9And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; 10That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. 11Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Anyway, pray about this. I think you will find the Holy Spirit pointing you to Jesus.. not to himself. It is good to know He is in us, but let us look to Whom the indwelling Holy Spirit is pointing to through His testimony thereby glorifying Jesus Christ the Lord. By His Word, that is only way to honour and to glorify God the Father... is through the Son. That is what the indwelling Holy Spirit is doing & seeks for us to do too.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
