And where in scripture does it say that the seven years has been shortened to five months. I never new that.

I don't understand your initial post here. The subject is where the dead are? The title indicates rapture, and the last part of your initial post (also the first part) seams to indicate rapture? I think this is about the rapture anyway. Yet you mention the tribulation being shortened to 5 months? Do you have any verses of scripture to associate with this, to help us understand clearly what this is referring to?

The bible is abundantly clear how long the tribulation is Revelation 12:6 1260 days,revelatio 12:14 time,times,and 1/2 a time revelation 13:5 42 mths all are referring to the same time period the 3.5 yr tribulation.

Jesus said the time would be cut short meaning that it would not last for a long time 3.5 yrs is a short period of time.When Jesus said it would be cut short there had not yet been given a ''time frame''but after Jesus in revelation we are told precisely how long it would be 3.5 yrs.

Thats because there is no where in the bible where it says that the seven years will be shortened to five months Isa

I know that there will be a Rapture because the Bible teaches that nobody will know the day and the hour of Christ's coming (i.e., the Rapture).

But AFTER the Rapture, exactly three and a half years after the antichrist goes into the temple and proclaims himself god, the Bible says that Jesus will return to save the earth from total annihilation.

So Christians (those who accepted Christ after the Rapture) alive during the last three and a half years will know exactly when the Lord will return and can count the days until they're rescued.

1st off I will say the ''7yrs'' tribulation period is a misinterpretation of daniel 9:27 but that is another point for another thread,the fact remains the bible can not be more clear on how long the anti christ will rule,why the confusion I will never know.

I agree 100%. There is no Biblical Tribulation that lasts seven years.

And I think you answered your own question:

That inappropriate mixing of Daniel 9 and Matthew 24 creates the foundation for the confusion ...
