Well, I and a few others here will happily pray for my/our country's spiritual protection and covering. Sorry if the call for prayer of someone anti biblical (I dont care how non violent or threatning he or she is) offends some of you.

The fact is, there is a lot of idol worship out there. Yes, even in the world of Christians and people who claim to be - they are misguided. So we are to pray according to the word in the NT - Be clear minded and self controlled so that you can pray. A gentle, peaceful man he (DL) may be, but his doctrine is off, his teaching is contrary to the bible and Jesus, and he wants to 'bless' us?? No, sorry, it doesn't work that way. I don't want an idol worshiper to bless me thank you.

In the words of my National Anthem..

God keep our land,

Glorious and free

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee,

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

One day every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. Not the Dalai Lama...

Willow, if all our countries populations were close to Jesus we would not have to worry about the Dali. Some here seem to forget that this board and the people here are not representitives of our nations population as a whole.

I will pray that those not so close to Jesus are not deceived by the Dali's gental nature and enticed into his false religon. I have a nephew that has been effected by that kind of teaching and may well be lost forever.

For that and other reasons I will join you in your prayers for protection of the weak and lost. We in our countries have enough problems without adding more.

As for Neb and the china thing, china is going to take Tiawan, it is in the maps drawn up by the globalists many years ago when they divided us all up in 10 major areas. We might not like it but it is going to be that way.

Hey, Willow -

(Funny thing people forget - did the Dalai Lama's peaceful ways save his country from China's take-over?

Do we want the same for our countries?

Other One -

I appreciate your input. The thing was the China-Taiwan thing was mentioned as a distraction to the intent of Willow's prayer request. :suspect:

I know you guys will argue that god could have created it in 6 days, but if he did why would he leave evidence to the contrary

What evidence did he leave contrary? Fossils, rock layers? all could have been left behind by the receeding Flood? How you read science can not interpret how you read Bible. Rather use your Bible to Interpret your Science... it works... Creation Science proves it works.

As I said before

1 Peter 4:7

7The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.

Here are some additional thoughts......

1 Peter 5:8-9

8Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

2 Peter 2

False Teachers and Their Destruction

1But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping. 4For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; 5if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; 6if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men 8(for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)-- 9if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment. 10This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority. 11Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings; yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not bring slanderous accusations against such beings in the presence of the Lord. 12But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts they too will perish. 13They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you. 14With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed--an accursed brood! 15They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Beor, who loved the wages of wickedness. 16But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey--a beast without speech--who spoke with a man's voice and restrained the prophet's madness. 17These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. 18For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. 19They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity--for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. 20If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 22Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit," and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud."

1 John 4:1-6

Test the Spirits

1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. 4You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

Jude 1

A call to persevere

17But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. 18They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires." 19These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. 20But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. 21Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. 22Be merciful to those who doubt; 23snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear--hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.

Doxology

24To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy-- 25to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

A lot of reading but I love scripture. I love it. It truly is the life breath of God to us. I want to be clear to all here. The Dalai Lama is still a part of God's creation. God loves him, it is what he teaches and his actions he is not pleased with. Just like any of our sin. And He would want him to come to repentance as much as any of us. If his heart is not hardened and all things are possible with Christ, I pray for his salvation. It is his methods and ideology I am against. The man himself is still precious in God's sight.....

I will pray that those not so close to Jesus are not deceived by the Dali's gental nature and enticed into his false religon. I have a nephew that has been effected by that kind of teaching and may well be lost forever.

Amen Sam. And I will pray for him. The Lord desires that none should perish. With Christ, all things are possible..... :P

May the Lord bless and keep you, may He make his face to shine upon you.....and give you peace.

I have read many of your posts and your "Christianity" is showing. You need to stop bashing Bush and concetrate on your own mistakes and sins. Be thankful you live in a country where the freedome to express oneself is allowed and not in some country where if you utter anything against the party line will cost you your life.

I am tired of your cheap shots at the President. If you don't like him then fine, but respect the office by not uttering the trash you spout out earlier. No one is perfect and that applies to myself as well as you. Respect will go a long way both ways Mobile you need to remember that. Your attitude needs some major adjusting. Might I suggest more time on your knees praying instead of mudslinging?

At the very least try to stay on the topic at hand instead of using every opportunity to slander Bush and the US.

I would agree with the staying on topic, but what Neb says about Bush is mild as to what he is really up to. But lets stay on topic for this thread is important. There are a lot of people that we as christians have not reached and for the most part our churches are focused on other things. It is a shame that people of the Dali's status has so much appeal to such a number of people that we have kicked in the teeth so long that they won't pay attention to most christians.

S'OK!

Yes, it is.

But I recall something from this. A group of Native American Christians went on a mission trip to Tibet. The openness of the people there to the Native Americans was awesome! It has become apparent that the Native American missionaries are able to reach people for Christ who would be closed to the rest of us.

Just thought I'd add a bit of good news to things. . . .

. . . not trying to divert the topic.

Yes Native Americans have a special way with all animals, including people. I know first hand..... I married one, but that's a different story and here I go again :t2:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
