Welcome, senerhu!

Also, the point is to study the Scriptures. Pre - Mid - Post discussions tend to distract and take over - so much so that the topic becomes a battle over the timing. The Bible study thus gets lots.

Does that make sense?

You know, I just realized somthing - why are we more obssesed over "when the rapture takes place" than over the return of our Lord? You would think that understanding His return would be more important than debates over "when we get to leave?" As if His return were about us and not about Him!

I think I'm going to post this in one of the End Times / Prophecy whatever threads!

Now back to our regularly scheduled Bible study. :t3:

Hello kitkat :huh:

I know I'm risking inserting something here that is off topic again, but there is no rhyme or reason for harboring bitterness about this thread. After all, God is the only one that knows the hearts of those that post here and I can assure you my heart was in the right place when I posted in this thread. Out of ignorance on my part, without knowing I was doing anything wrong, I posted in this thread. Trying to stir up trouble was the last thing on my mind.

Kithat i do not feel any bitterness towards you at all. As it was pointed out by susan(tsth) it was Dad Ernie who brought rapture timing into this discussion and i don't blame you for reacting with a timing post to it. The post i did requesting that the timing element cease was just that it was a request. I did it not in anger but more in a pleading way hoping that we could get back on track.

I was not offended until the post i quoted came up. i was not offended by its stance for pre-trib i was offended by its judgement on those who hold a different view. The issue has now been dealt with and it is not an issue to me anymore.

Anyway i love the scriptures you posted 1 Corinthians 13 it is one of my favorite sections of the NT something that we all should take in to mind when dealing with others.

Blessings to you KitKat :il:

Hi Suzanne,

I know that this has been a little frustrating for you, but have you had a chance to look at those scriptures that I posted from the book of Joel?

I believe those are some pretty powerful scriptures in referance to rapture, I was looking forward to your reply. We can get this post back on track.

God bless

Kevin

Hi guys

I still go back to my first post for the strongest reference to the rapture i have seen in the OT of the rapture

Ezekiel 34

11 "For thus says the Lord GOD: "Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. 12As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day. 13And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land;

Now it has been said that these people are only the Jews but in the NT in revealtions it says that the saints will be living in the land of isreal at the time of the final satanic rebellion.

revelation 20

7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Hello Adstar,

it has always been my understanding that this pertained to the Jews only. I think it is referring to the gathering of the Jews back into their own land after being scattered in A.D. 70.

The Rev passage deals with the new Jerusalem (Zion) at the conclusion of the millennial period of Christ's reign on Earth IMHO.

In His Love,

John

Jesus return and The battle of Armamggedon ?

Isaiah 34

1 Come near, you nations, to hear;

And heed, you people!

Let the earth hear, and all that is in it,

The world and all things that come forth from it.

2For the indignation of the LORD is against all nations,

And His fury against all their armies;

He has utterly destroyed them,

He has given them over to the slaughter.

3Also their slain shall be thrown out;

Their stench shall rise from their corpses,

And the mountains shall be melted with their blood.

4All the host of heaven shall be dissolved,

And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll;

All their host shall fall down

As the leaf falls from the vine,

And as fruit falling from a fig tree.

5"For My sword shall be bathed in heaven;

Indeed it shall come down on Edom,

And on the people of My curse, for judgment.

6The sword of the LORD is filled with blood,

It is made overflowing with fatness,

With the blood of lambs and goats,

With the fat of the kidneys of rams.

For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah,

And a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

7The wild oxen shall come down with them,

And the young bulls with the mighty bulls;

Their land shall be soaked with blood,

And their dust saturated with fatness."

8For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance,

The year of recompense for the cause of Zion.

Hi again :huh:

This is an interesting section of scripture. maybe a bit off topic but still.

10 "Now I will rise," says the LORD;

"Now I will be exalted,

Now I will lift Myself up.

11You shall conceive chaff,

You shall bring forth stubble;

Your breath, as fire, shall devour you.

12And the people shall be like the burnings of lime;

Like thorns cut up they shall be burned in the fire.

13Hear, you who are afar off, what I have done;

And you who are near, acknowledge My might."

14The sinners in Zion are afraid;

Fearfulness has seized the hypocrites:

"Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?

Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?"

15He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly,

He who despises the gain of oppressions,

Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes,

Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed,

And shuts his eyes from seeing evil:

16He will dwell on high;

His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks;

Bread will be given him,

His water will be sure.

Maybe rapture "dwell on high"

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
