Hi Adstar,

Great post! Thanks for getting this back on track. I really believe God will bless us with a deeper understanding of what is to come if we continue this thread in this direction.

I will say that I thought that the scriptures you referanced from Ezekiel, was a referance to the Jews returning to their land, but must admit you have given me food for thought and I need to go and look at those again.

As far as the scriptures from Isaiah, I too believe those are referances to the battle of Armegeddon. This is when God pours out His wrath on the nations.

You know, I just realized somthing - why are we more obssesed over "when the rapture takes place" than over the return of our Lord? You would think that understanding His return would be more important than debates over "when we get to leave?" As if His return were about us and not about Him!

I think I'm going to post this in one of the End Times / Prophecy whatever threads!

*

Now back to our regularly scheduled Bible study. :t3:

Dear Nebula,

I think your understanding is crucial to this study. For just as in the first coming, the Jews kept thinking that there was going to be a "physical" deliverance, rather than a "spiritual" one, in other words they were looking for an actual ruler to come to the land and rule Jerusalem, a politician of sorts, a world ruler, is that what they got? Nope, instead they got a Spiritual Deliverer instead. They were so focused on what they were sure they would see, they missed it. Yet if they had looked and really asked the Lord to give them understanding thru His Word, they would have known, just like Anna and Simeon, who knew exactly WHO to look for, and WHERE TO LOOK! They knew the Truth from His Word! I am simply saying, let's do the same. Let's look at His Word, through devotion, prayer, and obedience to Him!

Nebula, you are VERY RIGHT! We might need to refocus our focus! And get our sight aligned with His Word.

:il:

Hi Suzanne,

I know that this has been a little frustrating for you, but have you had a chance to look at those scriptures that I posted from the book of Joel?

I believe those are some pretty powerful scriptures in referance to rapture, I was looking forward to your reply. We can get this post back on track.

God bless

Kevin

Dear Kevin,

I'll be able to really get into this tomorrow hopefully. I will look again at the Joel passages in the morning and be back on after my quiet time maybe around 9ish?

I have been compelled back into the prophets again, I cannot get out of them, as I am feeling very lead to listen closely to them. (pssst! I have not felt this way since right before 911)

Hopefully we can keep this one on track? We'll see. Lord willing it will.

In His Love,

Suzanne

Hi again :)

This is an interesting section of scripture. maybe a bit off topic but still.

10 "Now I will rise," says the LORD;

"Now I will be exalted,

Now I will lift Myself up.

11You shall conceive chaff,

You shall bring forth stubble;

Your breath, as fire, shall devour you.

12And the people shall be like the burnings of lime;

Like thorns cut up they shall be burned in the fire.

13Hear, you who are afar off, what I have done;

And you who are near, acknowledge My might."

14The sinners in Zion are afraid;

Fearfulness has seized the hypocrites:

"Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?

Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?"

15He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly,

He who despises the gain of oppressions,

Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes,

Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed,

And shuts his eyes from seeing evil:

16He will dwell on high;

His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks;

Bread will be given him,

His water will be sure.

Maybe rapture "dwell on high"

All Praise The Ancient Of Days

Cool...

I will read the surrounding text and see what I come up with.

Thank you for challenging us to reread, pray and think. You just may be on to something here. :)

Dear Senerhu,

That's a very good Scripture reference above for this study! I really think we need to start thinking literally on this topic. We need to think physically, what will be happening. It's coming into place right now in the world the things spoken of are forming. Just as there was an actual baby being born in Bethlehem, and a star over that place, there are going to be very distinct occasions for His 2nd Coming, and we can see things forming now, that all make sense.

What do the Scriptures say about the Last Days?

In His Love,

Suzanne

"Proclaim among the nations, prepare for war, wake up the mighty men, let all men of war draw near; let them come up

Beat your plowshares into swords' and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, I am strong.

Assemble yourselves and come, all ye nations and gather yourselves together round about; there cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Lord.

Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat, for there will I sit to judge all nations round about.

Put in the sickle; for the harvest is ripe; come, get down, for the press is full, the vats overflow; for their wickedness is great" Joel 3:9-13

Could Joel be talking about the rapture here? Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. After all we are the harvest, as Jesus pointed out in John 4:35 speaking of those are to be saved.

"Say not ye, there are four months, and then cometh the harvest? Behold I say to unto you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest"

This is just a thought and I look forward to the replies.

Also lets continue with Joel Verse 14 For if the the above refers to the rapture, it happens right before tha war of Armegeddon

"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision; for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

The Lord shall also roar out of Zion and utter His voice out of Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth shall shake, but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel"

Notice the resemblance to the talk of the rapture in 1 Thes 4:16

For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout

Compare that with Joel's the Lord shall roar out of Zion. Also its interesting to note that Is pointing out two different groups of people or so it seems to me. It says that He is the hope of His people ! is this a referance to those who are in Christ? and the to the children of Israel

This of course being His chosen people.

Verse 17 "So shall ye know that I Am the Lord, your God, dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain; then shall Jerusalem be holy, and ther shall no strangers pass through her any more"

Is this a referance to the millinial kingdom?

I think there are many treasures in the old testament, and many do indeed make referance to the rapture, and in my opinion the above verses in Joel seem to point to it. Just my two cents.

God Bless, and I look forward to your replies (please be gentle :blink: :oww: )

Kevin

Dear Brother,

The verses on the harvest, are very crucial, and I DO want to get into them. But if I may, I'd like to start here:

Can we begin with Micah and Zechariah? I know I said the major prophets, but I was trying to find a place that was a compilation of all of the events, and these 2, seem to be the best starting place in terms of encompassing the whole picture.

In particular Micah 4.

In terms of the harvest, it will be addressed in Micah 4:12-13.

In His Love,

Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,

Arent these verses in Micah 4:11-13 refering more to God gathering the nations for the final battle, where God vindicates Israel?

Also which verses specifically are you referancing in Zech?

This is going to be an awesome study, I know I have a lot to learn.

Well, you can begin in Zechariah 1. The first part of Zech. begins with the 4 Horns----if you recall there is similar language within Daniel and Rev. regarding the 4 Horns.

In Zech. 2 there is reference to the measuring, it is also referenced in Rev. 11:1 and 21:15.

We need to begin to see the similarities between the prophecies and Daniel and Rev. and then start to put them all together, to get a complete picture.

Arent these verses in Micah 4:11-13 refering more to God gathering the nations for the final battle, where God vindicates Israel?

Well, start at the beginning of Micah and read to 4. Could these things be beginning to take place right now?

Just provoking some thought here. (Instead of thinking only in terms of Israelites, think of believers/countries of believers in general), don't look at it only as regarding the Israelites, think of it in terms of believers as a whole.

In His Truth,

Suzanne

How many nations do you think are viewed by the world as those of God? Those having a connection to God in some way?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
