If the god of Islam is the same God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the same God who sent Jesus, then why did Mohammed himself say that Allah is not the God of the Jews? Allah is NOT the God of the jews and christians. NO WAY. Two different gods. ONE is the true God. One isnt. You have to look at the evidence, and make your decision. Look at Jesus, and look at Mohammed, and compare the two. which do you think is the one we should belive in and follow? I know that Jesus Christ is the true God and the only one in whom we can find salvation.

Peace,

Because the Jews broke their covenant with God.

Arabic speaking Christians have been calling God 'Allah' before Islam was revealed. Sure that 'Allah' isn't your God?

I also would compare Christianity and Islam. That is exactly what I did.

The thing that puzzles me the most is that Jesus said that he only came for the lost sheep of Israel. He also said: Why do you call me good? Nobody is good but God. These two statements make it hard for me to believe Jesus to be God.

Peace,

~KB

Have you considered that Jesus was questioning what the "rich young ruler" believed about who Jesus is?

He wasn't saying, "Don't call me good," but rather, "Do you believe I am God?"

Let's read the whole story:

Matthew 19

16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, "Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?"

17So He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."

18He said to Him, "Which ones?"

Jesus said, ""You shall not murder,' "You shall not commit adultery,' "You shall not steal,' "You shall not bear false witness,' 19"Honor your father and your mother,' and, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."'

20The young man said to Him, "All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?"

21Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."

22But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

If Jesus was "just a man," why would following Jesus make the man perfect (after having kept the commandments)?

Peace,

Because the Jews broke their covenant with God.

And this one statement proves that Allah and YHVH are not the same!

Allah is a god who needs to be appeased. He demands submission...the very word "Islam" means submission.

YHVH has declared an unconditional love for Israel.

Jeremiah 31:37 This is what the LORD says:

"Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done," declares the LORD .

And through His Son Yeshua, YHVH has declared a pardon to all men who will recieve it.

How about YOU?

Would like forgiveness for all of your sins? How about the assurance of being in His presence forever when your mortal body dies?

The Koran says that Yeshua was the Messiah of the Jews.....He came for the lost sheep of Israel because they, of all people on earth, were expecting Him. Who else could recognize Him?

It was YHVH's sovereign plan that not all of Israel would see Him. It was His sovereign plan that Yeshua would give His very blood to pay for YOUR sin.

Soon afterward, the gentiles took over the church and there went the neighborhood!

They kicked out the jews and started wars with everyone who disagreed with them. Kinda like today, huh?

But the original jewish church changed the world through love and a willingness to submit unto death.

YHVH gave His Son that we might have everlasting life....Allah wants muslims to kill their sons in futile suicide missions to satisfy His hatred.

Where is the comparison?

:D

And even though christians have been guilty of atrocities through history, the same can not be said about the jews.

And NO ONE compares with Muslims for sheer brutality and intimidation!!!!

Like this story from today:

SRINAGAR, India (Reuters) - Suspected Muslim guerrillas sliced off the

nose, ears and tongue of a 14-year-old girl in Indian Kashmir on

Sunday, believing her to be an informer for the Indian army, police said.

Mariam Begum was abducted by a group of militants from her house in

Doda district south of Srinagar, Kashmir's summer capital.

"The abductee was let off by the terrorists. However her ears, nose and

tongue have been chopped off," a police spokesman said.

Rebels have in the past killed or maimed people who they believe are

helping Indian soldiers put down the 15-year revolt in the Himalayan

region.

Elsewhere in Kashmir, 16 Muslim rebels and four soldiers were killed in

separate gun battles over the weekend as rebel violence mounted despite

peace moves by India and Pakistan.

More than 100 people have been killed and scores wounded this month

alone.

Authorities say the violence could be aimed at disrupting talks between

India and Pakistan who agreed last month to serious and sustained

negotiations for a final settlement of their dispute in Kashmir.

Dear nebula,

Matthew 19

16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, "Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?"

-As Katonic Bliss rightly pointed out, Jesus [pbuh] is asking why the man addressed him as "good" as only One is good: God. thus, i find it difficult, too, even from reading the Bible to believe that Jesus [pbuh] was God.

-Jesus [pbuh] said that to enter life, we would have to "keep the commandments". He does not say anything about believing that he is "God incarnate", "one of the three persons making up the One God", or that he "came to die for our sins". He simply says: "keep the commandments".

-every prophet sent by God told their people [i paraphrase] : "i am a prophet sent by the One God. If you want to be successful [i.e.enter Heaven] belief in God and follow me". "Follow me" meaning to pray, be modest, give charity to the poor and needy etc, in short, to fully submit one's will to the will of God.

kind regards,

marianne

Jesus was not necessarily saying that He was God in that particular exchange...but he was pointing out that the young man knew Jesus was speaking in the authority of God or this young man would not have addressed Him in that way....

did I say that right? :t2:

Blueson...

that is fascinating stuff! Thanks...I'm going to print it out and have a good long look at it.

However...there is a huge flaw already glaring at me.

You quote the New Testament writings where Jesus speaks about the Comforter. Yet you disregard where the New Testament itself interprets this Comforter as being the Holy Spirit which came on the Feast of Shavuot after Yeshua's ascension.

I also know that the Koran doesn't believe that He ascended.

You can't have it both ways here. Either the New Testament is true or it is a lie.

More importantsly....who do you say Jesus is? According to HIS OWN WORDS there is no other way to the Father but through Him.

What do you say about that?

You have to look at this from the Mid-Eastern perspective, not the Western persective. Remember how often Jesus spoke in parables? Like so many others He spoke to, He wanted this man to think - "Who do you say that I am?" Yes, it is very subtle, so subtle most people don't see it. But Jesus the Messiah was truly testing the heart of this young man.

-Jesus [pbuh] said that to enter life, we would have to "keep the commandments". He does not say anything about believing that he is "God incarnate", "one of the three persons making up the One God", or that he "came to die for our sins". He simply says: "keep the commandments".

Again, He was testing the heart of this man. See the following teaching about the difficulty of the rich entering the Kingdom of God.

When He told Peter and Andrew, "Follow Me," they left their boats and followed Him - literally. When Jesus told James and John, "Follow Me," they left their father's boat and followed Him. When Jesus told Matthew, "Follow Me," Matthew left his job (tax collecting) and followed him. These all became among His disciples who followed wherever He went. Why would this rich young ruler be any different?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
