Greetings In His Name!

I noticed that there is someone out there that was upset at me for some reason. I know that we all will not get along, and that not everyone will like everyone. Yet, it would be nice to know why someone voted you up or down, for both encouragement and rebuke/growth when someone votes on you. Otherwise, how can we grow and what use is the ratings if it can not provide a reason for growth? I could be anonymous, if the voter desires it to be so.

Anyone?

Are you talking about the little 'rating' box in the upper right hand corner? Someone didn't give you enough stars or .....????

It's not how many stars that count, it's the reason behind why you have them. There should be a purpose to this feature, yes? It would be nice to know what others thoughts are. If they take the time to vote, it would be nice to know why.

To set everyone at ease, I don't care what my rating is. The way this is set up, anyone could go on a rampage and start voting any way they want, good or bad. The reason for this post is to have some sort of communication why people do vote the way they did. I've voted before and it would of been nice for me to have left a message as to why I voted the way I did, to encourage the user or to let them know why I voted them down, a form of rebuke, all done in private ... different then the "comments". I feel this would profit the person you are voting on. As I said, it could done anonymously.

Don't let it offend you bro. When I first joined Worthy someone did that to me and I was really surprised and shocked, because I just joined the site.. but as I thought about it... who cares? I just remembered this verse...

"But, as a matter of fact, it matters very little to me what you, or any man, thinks of me - I don't even value my opinion of myself.."

Don't get offended by it.. even though I remembered the verse above and I just kept returning to it and thinking, "why would someone do this to me?" I was really heart broken actually.

The fact of the matter is.. that kind of judgment comes from suggestion from the Devil and this kind of thing could even be a curse. This book I recommend to you, THE BAIT OF SATAN, By John Bevere. I've never been the same way after I read it.. and these kinds of things or past events of severe injustice don't bother me much anymore because I saw "the man behind the curtains". Its an awesome book bro, check it out!

GOD BLESS YOU REAL GOOD!

Hey OneLight

Um... well? I often just "rate" things under the idea of "hey, they is an awesome thread, people should come and see it" becuase people are often more drawn tot he ones with stars on it... well at least.. I know I am... stars and shiny things

I do'nt really care too much abotu the ratings and I only "rate" if I think that it's something that most people won't look at... if there isa theological debate, peopel are goign to go to it and post.. but if it's something like a bible study or somethign like that, there might be a lot of people that look at it and just don't post, but it seems no one ever does... I enjoy it to be able to say "hey, come look at this thread you guys!!" if it's one that many people aren't posting on :o

That's just my thoughts :)

Hope this helps,

Crys

I never noticed it until now.

Who rates you?

Can we rate ourselves?

i didn't even realize til you posted this that we could rate each other.... see how unobservant i am?

but since it's a feature of the board, it would be kinda nice if there could be a way of indicating WHY a person has rated as they have. but then again, it's just one of those niceties that really have little meaning, since on any given topic, there will be some who disagree, even if they might agree on other topics.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
