Link: http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Evils%20in%...mac_exposed.htm

I wanna know your guys take on this, do you think Christian hip-hop and rock music satanic, which includes artist like, tobyMac, dc Talk, LeCrae, Kutless, Relient K, etc..What do you guys think? If so, then I guess I'm *******. lol But I was taught, God is very excepting and if you have a hip-hop style, he will still except you..

When I read the verse 1 Samuel 16:7 (But the Lord said to Samuel,

well I was at his concert last night in fact....I didn't see any devil stuff in it but I sure had a hard time understanding him as his music is too busy for my ears....along with him in concert was Matthew West and Jeremy Camp...all three of these men shared the Gospel with the crowd and the response was awesome for all of them..

I think people tend to get a little strange about things they don't like or understand

that's my take on the subject

Hip Hop is a music form, rock music is a music form, country is music form, etc... It is stylistic. Much of Christian music no matter the genre is Christian entertainment. The artist have contracts, charge admission, are concerned with image and album sales. We try to Christianize so much that is merely entertainment. In itself it to be judged on the merit of Their intent. There are few mainstream artist of the calibre of Keith Green who were seemingly unconcerned and unmotivated by the dollar. They are out there, but it seems impossible to judge that accurately. My suggestion use your conscience and enjoy what you enjoy, but don't idolize the musician or make them the personification of Christian fidelity. There are some in all genres that I respect. There are some in all genres that I consider just showmen driven by the excitement of performance and notoriety.

I went to the Boomin' Beyond Measures tour as well, but in Phoenix. I was shocked on how good Jeremy Camp is live. And as well as Matthew West but I was expecting tobyMac to be great by seeing his videos and stuff.

oh boy, another thread where stones will start flinging....

if the words glorify God, then it's not evil. although i dare say God may have a few spare pairs of earplugs so he doesn't have to hear some of the styles!

I expected his music to be different too but that was because I only heard the songs played on the radio...you know the softer stuff...can't win 'em all I suppose :mgfrog:

First of all, there is no evidence that "hip-hop" music is Satanic by default. It may be weird . . . but that's another story. :emot-pray:

As for the claims in the article, I don't see anything about the lyrics posted that glorifies Satan or sin or anything else evil.

The first song is just a "cheer" song, if you will - a song meant for the audience at a concert. When Toby Mac says, "Freaks," he's referencing a song sang while still a part of DC Talk called "Jesus Freak." Michael Tait can be heard referencing back to this song as well. (No, I don't have this in writing - but anyone who has been a fan of DC Talk and subsequently Toby Mac will make the instantaneous connection . . . like I did, even though I don't necessarily consider myself a "fan" of his.)

As for the second song? Well, I don't see any spiritual connection or purpose to it whatsoever. But, I don't see anything worth getting in a titsy-fit over either. So, he's singing about ordering coffee? OK.....?

As for "Diverse City" - get real! Toby is referring to racial diversity, not lifestyle diversity. Where did this author get that stuff?

They call us Diverse City, we're colorful good

It's like a freak show in your neighborhood

So, if you wanna praise you can come on down

Cause this freak show's leaving the ground

Up, up and away, baby we don't play, maybe you thought you was done for the day

He said, she said, I said this, that you can't get away from your moment of bliss

Stirring, we'll lure you in and we'll make room for the shade of skin

Short ones, tall ones, skinny ones, bigger, love is the gun and we pullin' that trigger

So you send me and I'll send you hope in the form of a new tattoo

Mine is the shiny city on a hill and yours, of course, is the colors that fill it

We'll take you high, we'll take you higher

Now come to the city where you can praise

If you're black, if you're white, if you're yellow or grey

In the morning, in the night, anytime of day

What's that place - Diverse City

With curls in your hair and braids on the side

Straight shake'em loose, just come on and ride

We're a body with parts, like you and me

Together we make diversity . . .

:emot-pray:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
