The most effective prayer I ever said which I saw an immediate miracle for was one I prayed last month. It wasn't eloquent, it wasn' long. Infact it was one sentence. Here is what I said.

**** (the name of the person who I was praying about) ****, my heart is greived for you!

GOD! Don't let this person go into Sheol, bring them into your Kingdom. In Jesus NAME!

Do you know what happened? Immediately after I ended that prayer, my bedroom, the whole bedroom which was dim, became brightly illuminated from light from Heaven! I as shocked and startled because I didn't expect something like that to happen and I thought there was a car behind me!

This prayer though, I was praying it with my full heart in full force because I had so much pain from that person but I loved them so much that I cared about their salvation greatly. This was part of the training by God which I am still going through. My opinion? Prayer with real heart is most important.

By the way that person was a witch and demon afflicted.. so I don't think you should expect something like my situation but EXPECT GOD TO MOVE as soon as you pray. He has never said no to my prayers as long as they were in his will.

Blien, I think you make a very important point "as long as they are in HIS will" and thats what I pray! I ask for specific things for people, but I always add that God's will be done, thats the most important part, He knows best! I have no idea if what I'm praying is the best for that person or others around them, luckily I don't have to, I leave the final say to the One that does!

No prayers are unimportant, but for some reason, some folks seem to get better results than others.......

I don't know if anyone bears witness but I'd noticed a trend recently where the inner prayers and meditation is given favour over the spoken word. I didn't think it was healthy because it causes a subtle imbalance where things are based too demandedly in inner space rather than in the light as instructed, and we should be living by faith and not by *****. It's because I felt repulsed at the suggestion of illigitimate results (and methods), preferring rather to forsake the luxuries of egypt and preserve hope and good conscience. How else would we see God's wisdom effect if we don't sow to the light where the promises are for.

Yeah. But I always focus on what is in my heart as I pray because I dont want to deceive myself and then think.. why is God not answering me? More effective communication in prayer with Him is one of my deepest desires. I am sooo envious of David when he could pray like this to God and get immediate answers.

1 Samuel 23: 2

2 Therefore David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go and attack these Philistines?”

And the LORD said to David, “Go and attack the Philistines, and save Keilah.”

1 Samuel 23: 10-12

10 Then David said, “O LORD God of Israel, Your servant has certainly heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city for my sake. 11 Will the men of Keilah deliver me into his hand? Will Saul come down, as Your servant has heard? O LORD God of Israel, I pray, tell Your servant.”

And the LORD said, “He will come down.”

12 Then David said, “Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?”

And the LORD said, “They will deliver you.”

And people will say, "well you can't get immediate answers from God?" Why? Just because they haven't been able to do it? Sometimes I have gotten answers to my prayers before I even prayed.. and most of the time I do get immediate answers..

klj2425, just be diligent and seek God he will help you fulfill your hearts desires!

Can you explain this again. This sounds like New Age with the inner prayer and meditation.

That what I mean onelight, some are trying to sneak in a Universal type of agenda to try justify thier "spiritual" practices but it's still not acceptable and falls short. Light and darkness are not agreed.

To clarify a little more, it's like when people don't want discuss doctrine but settle for "vibes, hints and body language ". There's confusion involved, we need keep the Word vocal, because faith is communicated that way. It's because of experiences where demons tried to establish a hush-hush agreement with me in the name of godliness. I refuse.

I have been thinking a lot about the power of prayer lately, and i have noticed some interesting things in my own life. When I think about the people I know who are what I call "prayer warriors" it strikes me that I feel as though some of their prayers seem to be "answered" more often than others. It is my understanding that individual Christians are uniquely gifted for specific tasks (pastoring, encouragement, hospitality, etc.), but I do not see in scripture where prayer is included in that list. I don't know that I have a specific question in all of this, but any thoughts/scriptures would be appreciated.

Prayer is not a spiritual gift. it is somethign we do in order to know God better

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
