The ark of the covenant

Just wondering what peoples thaughts are on the ark does it still exist or was it melted down and made into something else.Is it hidden in a cave somewhere any ideas

I can't remember, is there something in the old testament that tells what the disposition of the Ark was?

I dont recall the Bible telling anything about what happened after Noah left the ark. The scriptures say it came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. Is it on the one mountain named Ararat? Probably you have read of the expedition that is going there this summer. They say since the heat wave in Europe this past summer that some ice melted up on Ararat and a large man-made object can be seen from satellite views. The turkish govt is allowing this which was unheard of most of the past . They also say they will not bring anything back in the way of aritfacts but will simply take pictures.

The Ark of the Covenant, IS NOT Noah's Ark. It is this ark:

Exodus 25:10 And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

You may want to read about it.

I did a search of it, and found one that said that the Ark of the Covenant is actually inside a cave under where Jesus was sacraficed..... but that only one man had seen it and lived to testify about it.... and that it would not be brought out for man to see again until after the anti-christ shows his ugly head.... in the story it also said that it was placed there to preserve it when the Israelites were under attack, thru a series of tunnels that had been dug..... and when Jesus was Sacraficed and the earth shook a crack had been formed close to the base of the cross, and when the spear pierced His side, and the Blood and the Water ran out it flowed down that crack and on to the Ark, as the Perfect Attonemennt Sacrafice....

was a pretty neat story.....

Seriously though I saw a program on History or Discovery on this with some people trying to track it down, quite interesting.
