Is the florida revival real?

We can at least hope that this "revival" will lead some to study the Word and seek truth. As crazy as the Toronto blessing was, it helped me to seek after the Lord, despite it's idiosyncrasies.

:emot-heartbeat:

Can't argue with that. :emot-heartbeat:

All right guys -

You can keep taking pot-shots all you want at the man's theology because it doesn't fit yours.

But remember this:

Acts 5

35 Then he addressed them: "Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men. 36 Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. 37 After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered. 38 Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. 39 But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God."

If this is of human origin, discouraged people who don't feel God's presence, don't get healed, come back home unchanged and unable to minister any more than they did before, etc. will eventually come to their senses and realize they've been duped.

But if it is from God, then you are going to be be hearing about some crazy things going on....

Hollywood celebrities and figures getting healed and coming to Christ

The Gospel being preached over Arab TV

Other such remarkable things

It's not my theology that he doesn't fit into....it's Gods.

Take a look at what he says.......these words came out of his mouth.....he said it.

They opened the way for me to go beyond the power of God

Take a look at what he says.......these words came out of his mouth.....he said it.

They opened the way for me to go beyond the power of God's Spirit, the gifts or any kind of experience like the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

What is beyond the power of God's Spirit?

What is beyond the gifts of God?

What is beyond the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

This man claims he can go beyond these things. He doesn't claim to be an equal with God, he claims he is able to go beyond that. Who else made that claim?

Isiaiah 14

12 " How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!

13 For you have said in your heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north;

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.'

15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.

The information is out there......all you need to do is look at it with an honest heart. How do his words line up with those of God's? Remove your blinders and take an honest look.....it is not that hard to see.

People are following this guy on blind faith alone. Because he does a trick or two, people consider him a prophet of God. His own words deny that he is. He claims to be able to go beyond the power of God.

Matthew 24

24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Does that verse mean anything? Or was it just thrown in to take up space?

We are warned many times in scripture to watch for these things. Do we just brush aside those warnings as if they are empty words?

I truly do not understand the hold this man has on people. I can somewhat understand those who are not rooted in the Word, but for someone who claims to be a follower of Christ......how can those people be blinded by such an act of blasphemy?

When this man claims to be able to go beyond God......doesn't that set off warning signals?

I don't get it..................I just don't get it.

Could it have been a slip of the tongue or is this his theology?

The quote was from his own website.....if it was a slip of the tongue, you'd think he would've removed it.

Check him out. There's all kinds of stuff on youtube. I gave links to several different places. They're a couple of pages back.

I'm not saying that there aren't any people coming to the Lord at this revival.....what I'm saying is, I do not trust this man. Everything about him screams "fake".

Go and check out some of the links I posted. Post # 217. There's also an email I posted from somone who lives in the town where this event is taking place.

I don't know.......from what I've seen of this guy, I don't trust him.

shalom all! :emot-puke: i hope you dont mind me posting a scripture , i read through the discussion, looked at the links, and looked up scripture for an answer, i found Acts 8; beginging in verse 5, simon the sorcerer, Then phillip went down to the city of samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the ppl with one accord gave heed unto those things which phillip spake, hearing and seeing the miricles which he did.For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice came out of many that were possessed with them, and many that were taken with palsies, and that were lame were healed. and there was great joy in the city, But there was a certain man called simon which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewithched the ppl of samaria. giving out that himself was some great one. v10 To whom they akll gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.And to him (simon) they had great regard.because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries,(this is not simon peter)But when they believed Phillip preaching the things concerning the the Kingdom of God ,and the jesus Christ, they were babtiz, men and women,Then simon believed also; and continued with Phillip and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. now when the apostles which were at jerusalem heard that samaria had recieved the word of God they sent unto them Peter and John.who, when they came down prayed for them that they might recieve Holy Ghost,(for as yet he was fallen upon none of them, only they were babtized in the name of the Lord Jesus, then laid they their hands on them, and they recieved the holy Ghost. v18 and when simon saw that through laying on of the apostles hands the Holy spirit was given he offered them money, saying give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands he may recieve the Holy Ghost,But peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.......

I concede that his ministry is suspicious according to what I have seen and read. I have to ask though; What does satan have to gain from this type of spectacle? I would think he would not be too keen on praising Jesus. :)

2 Corinthians 11

14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

If satan can use the name of Jesus to attract people to his lie....he is diverting them from the truth.

The Jehovah Witness for example.....they worship Christ....but they also believe that Jesus was Michael the archangel before He became Jesus.

It's not just that he's preaching lies.....he's teaching that these lies are acceptable and a part of the Word of God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
