Comon' guys...{{{{hugs}}}} :hug: :hug: :hug: and more {{{hugs}}}

I realize some people think I'm nuts for writing in for Jesus...and ya know what?

I don't even care if they do...I believe my duty is to vote for who I believe will make a difference.

Sorry, I don't think the human race is doing so hot right now.

So, I'm gonna be one in a million and vote for the ONLY Person I believe can and will win ...because the God I believe in created the universe, breathed life into man, can bring the dead back to life, sight to the blind and change a hardened heart into a living one.

The One I vote for isn't of this world and neither is His Kingdom but I can SURE feel the effects of His Kingdom here on earth.

I say, "THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH as it is in heaven."

Ya'll the more I see of the fallacies of mankind, the stronger my faith and confidence in God.

I'm looking not for the great achievements of some human being, Bush, Kerry or Joe Schmoe.

I believe that if we're going to see a real miracle ....and healing in this land, it begins with a proclamation of faith and repentence.

I don't expect the ungodly to repent. I don't expect the unbeliever to believe.

I am beginning to slowly realize that my small, quaint little voice here on earth was enough to have God in His heaven reach down from His throne last night, heal my husband and give him his first deep, soothing sleep in 10 days.

It only happened after I prayed for him.

Also today I was very sick to my stomach and in agony ...(I don't know the cause). I cried out to my Father in heaven to stop the pain...and sure enough, my Father stopped it.

When my Father hears from heaven and answers my prayers, I feel so full of joy, I could just cry. God is hearing me...unworthy sinner that I am.

I don't know about you but the God I follow moves mountains and nothing can stop him.

I won't let this dark depression sweep over me any longer. I have a God who cannot be stopped. He's invisible. He's magnificent...and you know, if only one single vote tells heaven that I put my trust in God more than man, that's good enough for me.

My reasoning is three fold, one George likes war, two George help the rich, and leaves the poor out to dry, three the gays are going to be around anyway, we can not kill them, or make them stop doing their sins, yet we may try to stop them from being evil, but we already try, and that has not stopped them, certainly I do not want them to even have civil marriage, but I think war, and the other outweigh the gay issue. I would rather have God's judgement upon American, by doing righteousness in those two areas, then by doing evil which will destroy the spirit, soul, and body. Remember Christ came not to send peace but a sword, He wants His kingdom established, and if evil rules, God will destroy, yet God will preserve, what is right, and good.

This is pretty sad, how can you come on here and say that Bush likes war? Do you know him personally, or are you reapeating what someone else said? This is pretty heavy judgment of another persons character, and you as a Christian are to make these kinds of judgments.

There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during the month of January..... in the fair city of Detroit (Michigan) there were 35 murders in the month of January. That's one American city folks, about as deadly as the entire war torn country of Iraq!

The following appeared in the Durham, NC local paper as a letter to the editor. Liberals claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war.

They complain about his prosecution of it. One liberal recently claimed Bush was the worst president in U.S. history. Let's clear up one point: We didn't start the war on terror. Try to remember, it was started by terrorists BEFORE 9/11.

Let's look at the "worst" president and mismanagement claims. Lincoln allowed the US to fall into civil war. How would you like a nice Civil war today? You could go and kill your out of state relatives!

FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea Never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,333 per year.

John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us. I think history might show Eisenhower committed the troops and Kennedy was honoring that commitment.

Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

In the two years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Lybia, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

We lost 600 soldiers, an average of 300 a year. Bush did all this abroad while not allowing another terrorist attack at home.

Worst president in history? Come on!

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but... It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was a 51 day operation.

We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Teddy Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in

Florida!!!!

Our military is GREAT!

I'm doing what I always do each election year...I'm writing in my vote.

I always do the same thing year after year...I write in the name of Jesus Christ.

That's great, cats!

To the others -

Sometimes doing something radical (that won't necessarily go anywhere) to make a statement has more of an impact than doing something that will "win."

OK - I'm really torn on this whole issue. I totally am against many of the things that Bush has done while he has been in office, claiming that he is a Christian and yet, his fruits don't show it... I base that statement on the article below.

Here is my challenge. Like many have said here... A vote for anyone other than Bush is actually helping the Kerry campaign. At this point in the game anyway.

If we could actually get a candidate that ALL CHRISTIANS would agree on, then I think that we would have a significant chance of putting that person in the white house because if ALL CHRISTIANS would vote for the same person, we would far out weigh any candidate on the ballot.

There in lies the challenge, how do we get ALL CHRISTIANS to vote for someone other than George Bush, without splitting the Bush vote and promptly giving the win to Kerry?

I really do struggle with this... catsmeoow, I really admire your stance and I appreciate where you are coming from. Do you think that if there were a candidate that was a strong Christian on the ballot that you agreed with that you would change that vote?

Mike Irish, I think your idea (about the posters and all saying "Jesus Christ for President") is a novel one and if we could get enough people to do it, it might have an impact, but I think that again, we would be throwing those votes away and almost surely, John Kerry would be our next president.

John Kerry is SCARY! Hey, now there's a slogan! :oww: :oww:

However, so is Bush... So, what are we to do? Most Christians believe that Bush is this strong Christian that is leading the Christian Right, among many others, when it's obvious by the article below that he is not showing good fruit.

NOW - PLEASE DON'T GET ME WRONG... I AM NOT SAYING THAT I DON'T THINK BUSH IS A CHRISTIAN - I am saying that I agree with the following article in terms of the fact that George is not producing good fruit.

There is a Christian on the Contitution Party ballot. http://www.constitutionparty.com

As others have pointed out, this is a good replacement candidate, but can we get enough people, "Christian" or not, to vote for this man (or someone other than Bush) to make a difference?

Don't you think that as Christians we should be able to make a difference in the outcome of our elections instead of just saying, things like... "Well, I don't want Kerry, so I'll just vote for Bush (or whomever is on the Republican ticket for that election).

Well, with all of that being said, I would love to get y'alls feedback on a possible solution...

I am going to post the article in a seperate post so that this post doesn't get too long!

YBIC,

Bradley

President Bush -- Bad Fruits versus Good Fruits

By David Bay - Cutting Edge Ministries

In so many occasions in my life, when contemplating a specific course of action, I have found it highly helpful to make a list of pro's and con's.

Once I have completed this list, I would then examine it carefully; if the pro's outweighed the con's, then I would take the action contemplated, but if the con's outweighed the pro's, then I would not take the action.

In this hot debate amongst Christian brethren over whether the fruits (actions) of President Bush were of such Biblically "good fruit" nature to allow Fundamental, Bible-believing Christians to consider him "Born Again", I have created a list showing the fruits I have seen since he became a candidate for President in 2000. On the left, I have listed the "bad fruits" I have seen, and on the right, I have listed the "good fruits" he has produced.

Remember, words do not count: just actions. Words spoken at a Prayer Breakfast do not count, as they are only words. And, please don't repeat the Urban Legend about Mr. Bush leading a young man to salvation; we all know that story was fabricated. I am speaking of actions President Bush has taken since becoming President that we would consider Biblical "Good Fruits".

Here is my challenge: I have listed the bad fruits and good fruits of President George Bush. Please print this form out and add any bad or good fruit you can think I have missed, simply print this form out, add the fruit I have missed and either mail it to Cutting Edge Ministries or fax it to 803-356-2860.

Good Fruit:

Voting for Kerry, I belive is a sin. His beliefs are anti-God. He even rebels against his own church.

I know who's gonna win anyway, the one God puts in there...good or bad! Cause every authority on earth is established by him!!

I don't believe voting for Kerry is a sin. No way. I believe that voting for Kerry is foolish, not a sin. Big difference.

Some people may honestly believe George Bush is the enemy. I don't think so but I'm not the fountainhead of all wisdom.

I'm scared that we are about to go to war with Iran now...and that worries me greatly! Who's next, folks?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
