I think that The Apostle Peter said it best:

1 Peter 1:14-16

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

God won't command us to do something that is impossible, will He?

I think the underlying theme would be to set our sights on those things which are Holy and be as Holy as humanly possible.

NO. BECAUSE HE CAME AND PROVED WHAT IS POSSIBLE INCLUDING THE CROSS. SO ANYTHING BEYOND THAT HE WILL NOT REQUIRE OF US.

Revelation 6

11 Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.

Mt 5:11

"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

Mt 10:18

You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.

Mt 10:22

And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

Mt 10:39

He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

Mt 16:25

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

Mt 19:29

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

Mt 24:9

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.

Mr 8:35

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it.

Mr 10:29

So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's,

Mr 13:9

But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them.

Mr 13:13

And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Lu 9:24

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.

Lu 21:12

But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake.

Lu 21:17

And you will be hated by all for My name's sake.

JESUS CHRIST IS LORD

Are you reading any of my posts or do you enjoy making me type the same thing over & over & over again ? I guess I'm the fool for doing it since you obviously don't care to read anything I've put time & effort into.

Since you like to take Bible verses completely out of context so they can be molded around your particular belief, how about taking this out of context - after all, it is a command from Jesus.....right ?

Matthew 5:29-30

29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Now it would be ridiculous to say we are commanded to do this, isn't it ? If you just look at these two verses though, it would appear that we are to cut off our hand and pluck out our eye.....But if you look at the verses in context, it makes a lot more sense.

It's obvious you don't care to investigate this matter, and if you want to go through life thinking you are without sin.....well, you are severely deceived. please don't fall for this old trick of the devil....Please......

In His service,

Bob

Does anyone see that the 144,000 thousand will be perfect, in Revelation, the scriptures basically say, no bad thing comes out of their mouth, they follow the Lamb whereever He goes, and they are virgins, they have not been defiled with women, meaning they never have relations physically, with any woman, yes they are all men. So we can see there words are perfect, and there actions are perfect, they are the firstfruits of God, they are just like YeHuSHua, they are all of the different tribes of Israel, and they never have a wife, like YeHuSHua never physically had a wife, they are perfect. I would go the the point of saying through YeHuSHua(Jesus), they followed MeSHiaCH their whole lives, meaning they were, will be, and shall forever be sinless, through the MeSHiaCH, through the grace(favor) of ELoHeeM(God, ALLaH, Dios).

Where does it say they are Men????????

Would it not be more correct to see them as little children who are still innocent? The remnant saved from the day of the Lord?

There is no indication that these are grown up men.

All praise The Ancient Of Days

All for.

I think there is a difference between being perfect and being sinless. God called

Abraham righteous and His friend but not sinless. David was the apple of God's eye. Not one person in the bible, except for Jesus, is called sinless and IMO no one ever will be while we wear these earthly bodies. Sin is not something we go out and do, sinners are what we are born and sinners is what we'll die, albeit some will be forgiven. As long as we have blood in our veins, that blood will be tainted with sin. Again IMO.

There is not a scripture in The Bible that says we can't live in this life withour sin. That has been made up by man, and is a crippling in the body of Christ. Jesus says we can, and if Jesus says it that means without a shodow of doubt that we can.

His son, I never argue with God or even doubt His word, and if He says it's possible for man to live in this world without sin, well then I must have missed it somehow, so I would be grateful if you could tell me where I can find that passage in the Word.

in Christ,

eric.

eric,

The truth of the matter is,and if you read the entire thread where I quoted many references - which seem to have gone ignored, you will find that there is no place in the Bible that states such a thing....there are alternatively, many verses that say we are sinful by nature and can not live sin free. This [ sin free life ] doctrine is a very dangerous doctrine to live by because it negates the need to confess your sins.

I'll tell you something, if Paul whom I consider to be one of the best pastors & one of the most upright person in church history can't do it - how can we ? Read for yourself ( all my previous posts ) and come to your own conclusion.

Let's see what Paul had to say about himself -

Romans 7:17-19

17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.

18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

19 For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing.

That seems pretty clear to me that not even Paul was able to live a sin free life!

And of course, I can't make a post in this thread without including these verses -

1 John 1:8-10

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

You decide....to me it seems pretty clear. But, sadly some are deceived by the devil into thinking they don't need to ask for forgiveness. Just don't sound right....does it ?

In His service,

Bob

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
