Alright I dunno what happened today but for some reason I just looked up a quick porn video.

After I feel terrible immediately. I'd always vowed I would never disgrace myself or God this way and now I did. Plus honestly I felt just disgusted looking at it.

Anyways, how can I ask for forgiveness and really feel forgiven, cause I don't.

And most importantly how can I ensure that this does NOT turn into an addiction and never happens again? I know, MANY MANY Christian men have fallen pray to this and want to ensure that I don't.

Thoughts? Honestly I don't feel addicted, because I was frankly so disgusted but then again that's right now.

I am sure you are not the first to do this, at least you are conscious of what has happened. Be mindful about what you allow in friend, once it has taken root it becomes a real thing in your life. Remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), better than the lust and desires of this world that always fade away. Stick to your guns and seek out the Lord, pray about this, even moreso when you feel these urges, as I am sure many here will do also for you. :th_praying:

well keep in mind that the bible say's his way is perfect....Psa 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. ......God know's what happens ...plus the temptation is nothing knew....1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Welcome to Worthy. You have come to a good place to get support and guidance. All of us are sinners saved by grace. Through Jesus Christ we can humble approach the throne of God and ask to be forgiven. You talk as if He is important in your life and that you want to please Him. This is good. If you have asked to be forgiven He is faithful to forgive. Now, you need to forgive yourself. There is always a temptation to sin...for some reason it always looks so fun and exciting. But you are feeling the reality of sin. You don't feel good about yourself. Read your Bible more and pray. Talk here on Worthy. You don't have to become adicted to porn, but you need to truly repent (turn away) of it.

Cerberus the guilt is there because you have a conscience. That's a good thing. Your faithfulness to repent has you forgiven. (Acts 10:43) We are always harder on ourselves than the Lord God. He has forgiven you because you have asked him. We on the other hand also must forgive ourselves and that takes more time. Porn is very destructive I have seen it destroy many families (including mine). Sex is a beautiful act when in the confines of marriage. When you feel weak or curious go to the word of God he will give you the strength to overcome. We all sin and fall short the glory of God; If we never sinned we would be perfect and therefore would not have needed the gift God so graciously given us, his son Jesus. We will continue to sin until the Lord returns or we pass away; but, through him we will be given the strength to overcome. You know what you have done, now forgive yourself and move on. It is satins desire to keep you in a place of unforgiveness, don't allow him the opportunity to have a foothold in your life. My prayers are with you! Gabby

Welcome to Worthy!

Thanks for your honesty.

I know what you're going through because I've been there and done that.

I've also repented and since kept myself from it.

Forginess is a wondrful thing, isn't it? But unless we can forgive ourselves, the Devil will have a field with condemnation. And that is what I suspect you are feeling a good dose of condemnation from the enemy and a great deal of dispointment in yourself.

When you turn to God in sincerety of heart ask him for forgiveness, the Bible says that as our mediator He is faithful to forgive us.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

This is a promise but when we believe His Word and apply, it becomes FACT.

You need to rest in the assurance that God does not lie and that He does forgive you when you ask.

If you base everything on feelings you'll be like a yo-yo.

Be careful because Satan will try to tear down your confidence, he'll say: "So much for your Christianity", "Might as well give", "And you say you're a Christian", "Big deal, what's one video". Go to war against these lies and fight the good fight.

Next time when faced with a video instead of running it, Right-Click and Delete it.

I do not think that a one time deal makes you addicted to Porno but habitual sin will certainly invite bondage in your life and if you think youfeel miserable now, you ain't seen nothing yet.

You know the hardest thing to do is to keep our integrity when no one is around.

But really that is not the case, God is always around.

God Bless. :group-hug:

Ask for forgiveness, and it will be given to you. Afterwards, any self-disgust or guilt is just the devil trying to bring you down. Rejoice in the mercy of God. He's ready to wipe your slate clean- you just have to ask. :whistling:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
