Quoting Mike - IF YOU DO NOT VOTE, YOU DO NOT HAVE A SAY IN WHAT IS GOING ON.....

Question - Dear Brother Mike, what if we vote for who we think should be in office and the opposite canidate wins the election? Is God then responsible for allowing this to happen? And then did we vote against God?

What was in your heart when you did vote for the losing party? Ideally, what would be in your heart would be love for God as well as what (to the best of your knowledge) would be best for your country. Now, none of us knows as well as God does what is best for our country, but if you've done your best in prayerfully choosing who you will vote for, I think THAT'S what God sees. He doesn't go "well, too bad for you, sucker, now, because the other guy won it means you sinned!"

We vote because it is our choice, privilege and honor to do so.

The man God wants in will be elected. We are all part of that choice, the ones that cast a ballot.

The day of election is not the first tuesday in November, it is the First Tuesday after the First Monday. so, election day can be from November 2nd until November 8th........

now.....

if you are on a schedule such as me, you may leave town before the polls open and may not return until after they close.... if this is the case, go down and get ( or mail or email or call to find out how ) an absentee ballet. this does take some planning, and you need to request it soon enough to get it soon enough to fill it out and send it back so that it arrives soon enough that it gets counted..... IN OTHER WORDS, DO NOT DELAY...even now is not too early to request an absentee ballet.

some states you can get an absentee ballet even the day before and fill it out and leave it right there for the next day when they collect the ballets.

I have voted in every election except a couple of local primaries since 1977... I not only find it a privilege, but also a responsibility as being a citizen of the USA, and also a steward for God.....

blessing to all, seek the Lord for guidance in voting...

blessings..

some things happen even though we do not believe that it is the best thing.... God knows what is going on at all times, even when we do not understand.....

When Israel was not following God, they came under persecution of one form or another, taken into bondage of one form or another.... when they repented and turned back towards God, their lives returned.... when they were rebuilding the Temple, they slacked off for 18 years, so that they could build up their houses.... then God came down upon them and they were basically cursed.... when they repented, they started receiving blessings almost immediately....... The United States is far from receiving blessings right now... WE NEED TO REPENT AND FOLLOW GOD AGAIN... then we will begin receiving blessings again..... this would also include doing our civic duties and voting and taking an active part in the government.......THIS IS A GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE.... let us return to that form of government again.... AND REAL SOON.... one that was founded by God Fearing People..... not by those that are not God Fearing.....

people came to this country so that they could worship God freely.... would they approve of the way this country has gone?

anyone was welcome, now every one is welcome except Christians....... when Christians was the majority of the population, now it is people that say they are Christian, that have no fruit showing that they are Christian....

VOTE VOTE VOTE..... do your duty as a citizen of the Great United States, that will become A God Fearing Country again....

Dear Iryssa, I was just setting the following scripture in context. My contention is that God, and God alone is the One selecting leaders of the world. All the world can argue that if they will, but God's word is our standard of truth, though every man be a liar.

Romans 13:1 "There is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."

Daniel 4:17 "The most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men."

Listen, no one's denying that God is the one who is in control and that He chooses those in power. I absolutely believe that! But He has chosen to work THROUGH people in this as in many other cases. He moves certain people to vote a certain way, and at the end of the day, the one that comes out with the highest numbers is the one He determined would be raised up for this time. There's nothing wrong with a Christian voting.

Boy, I sure hope not. I have been voting since the 1960s.

Again, just get out and vote. It is our privilege.

What does scripture say? I can vote all I want to, but it is God Who has the final say.

In 1 Timothy 1:1-2 we are told to first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, giving of thanks for all men: 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

If we are going to do what God asks us to do, it will be to pray for those who He has put over us.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
