The anti-christ will be coming out of the Nation of Islam.

Possibly Man, possibly! No doubt you have a sound reason for your adamant conviction which if pressed upon you might even share. :emot-pray:

Perhaps. :halo:

I was reading Revelation 13 one afternoon several years ago. I wasn't into interpreting it, I just wanted to read every book in the bible. One verse stood out in particular that day: verse 13.

"And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men."

It wasn't like in neon, like God gives me sometimes, it just stood out.

So, my daughter interrupted my reading for about five minutes or so, and then I went back to it. I had TBN on at the time. As I sat down, I heard one preacher specifically say that he had received a vision from God that he would be able to call fire down from heaven. My blood went cold. To prove that his vision would come true, he began listing all these other visions God had given him and how all of them had come true.

I never watched him before, but now I refuse to watch him because of that day. The timing was more than coincidence for me. God was in this that day. It was very much a warning to me. Is he the anti-christ? I really don't think so, but from that day until now, I've felt that the anti-christ will come from among the church.

I'd rather not say who this preacher was for fear of the babes. He's very popular. I'll be glad to PM those who know more about this than I do, and let ya'll work with it. I only hear God's voice, but I don't always understand what He's saying. I figure its for a later time when I know more or have more experience than I do now.

The word naos describes the very Holy of Holies, not just the outer and inner courts. When Paul says that the man of sin will set himself up in the temple, he means the human heart. Our heart of hearts was meant to be a temple for God.

As for the 'antichrist' if you mean a dictator who will allegedly take over the world, this is a concept foreign to Scripture after Daniel 7. THere were four beasts, whom theologians and historians agree were Babylon, Media Persia, Greece and Rome. The fourth beast was Rome. Rome broke up into ten kingdoms and the Kingdom of God (Daniel's mountain) then took them over as the Gospel went out. There is no personal antichrist dictator figure.

Nero was the 666 of Revelation 13. His name adds up to 666 in the Hebrew language. (Ksr Nrwn)

John is the only New Testament writer to use the term antichrist. He uses it 5 times, 4 of which are plural. Antichrists are gnostics who believed that Christ was only a spirit. They believed that the body was evil and that Christ didn't really have a body. (There are different types of gnosticism, so let's not go there, we've not the time to explain them all.) Not one of the other NT writers ever uses the term antichrist(s). Most importantly, Jesus never uses the term either, nor does He ever speak of antichrist or antichrists! This is itself should be enough to make us step back as Believers and take a look at what we're being taught.

The best teacher I've heard on end times prophecy (and I've heard thousands of them) is a Palestinian man named Walid Shoebat. His knowledge of arabic and the ancient geography helps him understand nuances that go over the head of so many western theologians.

He has completely transformed my views and can make every scripture harmonize with the rest of the Word without any contradiction. I'm not able to type it all in one sitting but he has convinced me that the False Prophet is Mohammed and the anti-christ will be the 12th Iman, or Mahdi, that the Shiites and Sunnis are waiting on.

I have a better feeling about this than all other revelations/daniel interpretations. If Christianity is God's, then the religion that directly contradicts it is the Devil's i.e. Islam.

Thanks, Yod.

Yes - I've read some of Whalid Shobat's statements, and I'm fully aware of the fact, also, that Achmadinejad of Iran sees himself as a kind of "John the Baptist"- type forerunner who will usher in the coming of the Mahdi (not that I like comparing John the Baptist with Ajad - I think it's an insult to John the Baptist).

I'm glad that you brought this up - it's another possibility of the identity of antichrist that I haven't ruled out. This thread is only to make Christians aware of the clear distinction the Greek New Testament makes between the Old Testament temple and the New Testament temple - it's not meant to say, "Therefore that's it! We have the identity of the antichrist!". To do so would be short-sighted on my part. I don't personally like to adopt tunnel vision when it comes to my understanding of Bible prophecy. The facts are not always what we decide beforehand they are.

I think what you brought up in this post is extremely important, because most Muslims (whether they deny it or not) regard Islam as at war with Christianity and Judaism. Islam divides the world into two groups: "the house of Islam" and "the house of war".

There are three "woes" in the book of Revelation: The first "woe" is linked to the 5th trumpet (Rev.8: 13; 9: 12). The second "woe" is linked by the Revelation to the 6th trumpet, and the third "woe" to the 7th trumpet (Rev.11: 14). But the second "woe" is ALSO linked to the martyrdom of "the two witnesses" of Jesus (Rev.11: 7-14) - which means that those armies of a myriad of "horsemen" being released to kill a third of mankind refers to the martyrdom of "the two witnesses" of Jesus! (see my post of my understanding of "the two witnesses" in post #22 on page 3 of the thread "Moses and Elijah" in the Prophecy board).

The sixth trumpet releases the four angels who are bound at "the great river Euphrates", and then all these myriad of horsemen are released to kill a third of all men.

So this thread is not to take away from the possibility of what you are saying - the church is already in apostasy, and it's going to get worse. How everything is going to fit together I don't know - but God knows!

God bless, Yod

OK....not a problem but I'm still not sure I understand where you are going with this...

The church is the anti-christ???

:047:

Not that the church is the anti christ, but the ''Temple'' that the anti christ stands in declaring himself to be God is the church and not a rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem.

There have been anti-christs in that "temple" since the 2nd century but do you really think that a majority of christians would follow a preacher who claims to be God?

That seems more far-fetched than a rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem.

I do know about majority but I believe many ''christians'' will follow the anti christ regardless of if the Temple is an actual Temple or the church itself.

I agree, sadly. Who this man will be is what I have no clue of - whether he will be a Muslim "Mahdi" who insists that Muslims, Christians and Jews all worship the same God and many "Christians" follow him, or whatever. We're only given what we're given about this man, and we've all searched and searched the scriptures to try find out more - but we're given only hat we're given, and no more.

Here's question to ponder: What if Paul is describing not a person, but an entire category of unbelievers who think they are god? It appears that Paul is describing the kind of people who will permeate the earth just before the time of the Parousia. New Age teaching and humanism both lean in that direction. John tell us in Rev 20 that Satan gathers up a great army of godless ones to come against the Church (which he describes as the Holy City) and that Jesus Christ himself destroys them with fire from heaven. John calls them Magog from the four corners of the earth.

The word naos describes the Holy of Holies/Most Holy Place. Paul appears to likening it to the body (outer court), soul (inner court) and spirit (Most Holy Place).

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
