If Paul was talking to me and I disagreed with him on something - first of all I'd really really think about my position on whatever view we're talking about. If I was convinced I was right, then I would ask him to tell me why he believes what he believes and make it good as I'm a hardhead but willing to be corrected. It just depends....if he says it's from God, then I'll shut up immediately. This is a hypothetical that will never happen. The Bible is our ultimate authority - n'uff said. :D

:D You guyz crack me up. Yes you are right Cymba... He knew he was being led by spirit b/c it was very obvious. But human logic and reasoning had nothing to due with his teachings...

God bless Cymba :D

Paul used human reason and logic to appeal to the religion-hardened Jews and the heathen Gentiles. It is not that the Lord revealed these things to him and he merely poured them out as a vessel. Certainly he did do that. But on the other hand the Lord was able to use Paul's superior education and intellect to impart God's word to the saints.

Never underestimate God's ability to use the talents that He gave you. Only when the mind is used without the leading of the Spirit is there possibility for damage. :o

If i was talking to Paul and we disagreed on something i am certain that he (being lead by the wisdom of the Spirit) would be able to deliver the truth to me in a way that would convict me of the truth of his position.

Lets say Paul was speaking to you and you disagree with what Paul just said; do you think Paul would back down or be confident in what he just taught you? And if you say he will be confident; why do you think he is confident?

Chances are I wouldn't disagree with much of what the Apostle Paul had to say so your question is muted. Why? Paul had the authority of the Holy Spirit. I mean...how can you argue with a hand picked emissary of the Most High God who "was caught up to the paradise"? "He heard inexpressible things that man is not permitted to tell." [1 Corinthians 12]

The Apostle Paul received revelation and had visions. Why do I believe Paul? He had the authority of the Holy Spirit. NO ONE who has lived since the 1st century can claim the same authority as Paul and the other Apostles.

I wouldn't disagree with him. Paul is one of the best pastors in the history of the Church ( IMO ), and as said above by Brother Wayne, being hand picked by Jesus Himself and all of Paul's words being God's spoken through him.....leaves little room to argue ( actually leaves no room ).

I'd ask a lotta questions though...I know that. I wouldn't be even thinking about arguments if I had the opportunity to talk with Paul....be too busy discussing and such

Blessings,

Bob

Maybe I'm turning into Perry Mason here, but I'm questioning the writer's question. Are you saying you PERSONALLY disagree with Paul on something he has written? If so, you're disagreeing with God who breathed the Scripture. If you're just asking a general question, might I be so bold as to ask where you're coming from with this line of questioning? Thanks!

I would not disagree with paul because there is only one HOLY SPIRIT. Division can only come when one is in the Flesh.

Deut 32:9 For the LORDS portion is HIS people.

Instead of coming up with a hypothetical answer, lets see what people who actually were taught by Paul did:

Acts 17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea : who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

So, lets see.....They heard Paul speak, then they searched the scriptures to see if what He had to say lined up with Scripture. Good example for us all, I would say! Too many people take the word of any man who says "the Spirit told me to tell you...." instead of searching the scripture to see if His words are in tune with the Word of God already revealed.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
