This is something that has been bothering me very much.

How can we be happy or satisfied in life at any point knowing that people are going to hell and being tortured for eternity? It seems so brutal. Eternity is a long time. I'm having trouble not being weighted down by the thought.

How do other Christians live with the knowledge of hell?

Most of them don't think about it. I am not going there.

But, I understand your question, "How can I just sit here watching television (or on the computer) when there are people who need to here about JESUS"?

For those of us who believe GOD will save HIS people out of the world when HE wants, it is not so difficult. For those who feel that salvation is soley the choice of the individual, outside of the choice of GOD, I can not understand how they can even sleep at night.

Truth is, that is why I start ministries and try to inspire and empower those around me to spread the word. I do not feel responsible for the salvation of others, but i do feel that salvation and JESUS are more important than anything else in the world. It is the nature of humans to talk about what they are most excited about. If you go to the chat rooms, you can see what that is.

Still, I find that I am less concerned about Hell than i am about giving people a better life here by showing them JESUS in all HIS glory. Hell will take care of itself.

Oh Dear Brother

How Indeed!

:emot-pray:

:emot-pray:

The Wrath To Come

Without The LORD Jesus

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him" John 3:36

Without Faith In HIM

"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" John 3:18

Without HIS Blood

"And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood" Revelation 1:5

Without Turning

"But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled."

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;" Acts 3:18-19

Without Trust

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."

"In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" Proverbs 3:5-6

It Is Hell

"And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do."

"But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him" Luke 12:4-5

And So We Pray

"Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest." Luke 10:2

And Sow HIS Precious Words

"They that sow in tears shall reap in joy."

"He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him" Psalms 126:5-6

Knowing Some Will Eat And Know God

"Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts" Isaiah 15:16

Knowing Some Will Trust In The Holy One Of Israel And In HIS Sacrifice

"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."

"and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth" Isaiah 53:6-7

Although Most Will Not

Knowing By The Grace Of God

Some Will Call Upon HIS Name And Will Be Saved

"Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved" Acts 2:47

Hallelujah!

:emot-heartbeat:

Bless You Dear Father God My Abba

Thank You LORD Jesus My Beloved My KING

Fall Afresh Upon Us Tender Holy Spirit Of The Christ

In Jesus

Love

Joe

"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:"

"And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:"

"Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me." Job 19:25-27

We don't not think about the Lake of Fire, but having Jesus Christ, it is He who gives us hope. That hope is what spurs us on to tell the world around us that Hey! We have found that "pearl of great price"! Look what I've got! You can have it, too!

Matthew 13:44-46

“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field.

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!

Those are deep thoughts brother that will only keep you awake at night. I try to live my life to the fullest everyday, enjoying the beauty and grace of God's world while trying to work out my own salvation with fear and trembling. I can understand your topic though and your heart about it. All we can do is our best to show unconditional love for those who may be lost while at the same time praying for them and let the Father do the rest. If it is the Lord's will, He will draw them close. :)

Well it's one of those things you have to discipline your mind over. My grandmother may be in eternal death right now, because of her choice to believe in the book of Mormon. I have no clue. But it doesn't bother me much- not because I'm heartless, no... but mourning milk that has already been spilled hinders a person. All you can do is straighten up, pray, put on the full armor of God, and next time you see that person that doesn't have Jesus, CHARGE! (with love, of course) Put on your gardening gloves, and sow some seeds in the name of Jesus. Just remember- your eternal life has already started- so what does it matter if you go out of your way here on Earth to try expand God's family?

I hope that helped, if only a little. :)

I believe that God is so loving and forgiving,

that one day Hell will be empty and Heaven will be full.

It will most likely take some people longer to feel sorry for their sins, and wish to serve God.

It could take Satan a vary long time to be sorry for his sins.

But I pray that he will find his way back to God sooner rather than later.

If that were to happen, it would make God a liar.

I'm sorry, Knight, but that is not a bibkical view. The Word of God says that those whose names that are not found in the Book of Life will be cast into the Lake of Fire (we call it hell), and it says that the flames of the torment there will go up forever. There is no getting out---even if someone became sorry. Those who reject Christ's payment for sin, must pay for their own sin by death. That is what we are spared by the blood atonement of Christ! That is why He came...so that those who bleieve in Him will never perish.

Satan is another story. He will never be repentant. The blood of Jesus doesn't cover him. We don't waste our prayers on him.

Yes, God is loving and forgiving, but He has a well rounded set of character traits, and so he also has wrath and justice. He is a just judge and whom He deems worthy of hellfire, He will never rescind the sentence. That makes Him just and good.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 3:16-17

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
