I'm not into fantasy, but one good thing I definately have to say for Narnia, is the witch is portrayed as EVIL. And that's how it should be. Witches, wizards and such should never be portrayed as 'good'.

You mean like Glinda in the Wizard of Oz?

If any of you saw, or have kids who saw, The Golden Compass, please take the tim to explain to them the Demons are not friendly little animal spirit guids that help you through life.

This movie was such an overt effort by Satan to indoctrinate children to embrace demons as a good thing that I left the theater truely shaken and distressed.

J.K. Rowling has said that she is a Christian. Why Christian who believe in God write books, which emphasize witchcraft and sorcery and occultism? I think that she thinks that she believes, but actually she doesn't believe as it has been written in the Bible. Because he/she who really believe to God and the Bible don't write a book saying that there is good and bad witches, because the Bible say that all witches are evil. J.K. Rowling says in her books that Harry's witchcraft is good and this one statement alone is enough to prove that Harry Potter books are evil. Of course there is also much more evil in those books.

Kross, which side are you on? Are you trying to say the golden compass is bad, but Harry Potter is O.K.? That seems absurd to me, they are both equally evil.

I don't agree. The Golden Compass was very specically done to indoctrinate children into embracing demons. Harry Potter is not indoctrinating children into majic. It is fantasy story telling about a make believe place and a make believe system of majic. I have seen all the Harry Potter movies and none of them bathered me in the least.

The Golden Compass, on the other hand, was an overt effort by Satan to indoctrinate children into warring against any effort to tell them that demons are bad.

But, if it bothers you, that is OK with me.

Yesterday I fell flat on my face and cried out to the the Lord......Save me! Let your will be mine!. After a calming presence was laid over me.... I was brought to my knees...The word was laid before me and The voice of God was in my ears. I am scared because I want to dismiss this as a nervous breakdown, but God keeps talking to me. So I will start here.

You should have made that a new string. Trust me, when GOD gives you the more specific message and direct understanding of what HIS heart and meaning is, most of HIS people will not listen to your words.

There have been a couple of people here who have responded to things I have said with private messages telling me that GOD has told them the same things. Telling me that they do not understand why so many can not understand what that message is. It is not an easy calling and you will be maligned for telling them what they do not want to hear, or do not have the ears to hear. Trust the message.

How odd it seems that there is so much more opposition to HP today then there ever was to the items listed above, not to mention the "magic" of Peter Pan, the "good fairies" of Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella's "Fairy Godmother," etc. And what about all the Fairy Tales written throughout history that have been traditionally written, held, and promoted by Chrstians (Hans Christian Andersen and many others)?

Here's the real problem: Parents don't want to parent anymore. They'd rather just go down to the library and burn the books they don't want their kids reading. If you, as a parent, want to raise your children with a realistic view of the world, of life, and of reality, then you need to get on the ball and teach them. Simply sheltering them from "the boogeyman in the book" isn't going to be enough.

I've used my own daughters as examples times before in this discussion: Both of my daughters love the Lord above everything. My 16-year-old has learned to "check" herself when certain items start to become too distracting from the Lord. This is a skill that I helped to train her with. My 12-year-old is still learning that skill, but I will continue to train her according to the Lord's leading.

On the other hand both my daughters have a voracious appetite for reading. Their language skills, and intelligence has greatly benefited from reading all sorts of books (Within the reasonable confines of their maturity, or course), including the entire Harry Potter series. Neither of my daughters is interested in the least in witchcraft, accepting witchcraft as the norm, and they certainly don't want to go out and try to find others who do.

How come nobody can point to a specific groups of preteens who practice witchcraft as the direct result of "the witchcraft recruitment" contained in the HP books? It's because the books don't recruit potential young witches. If they do, then Rowling wrote a terrible recruiting manual!

yes, when I try I can't post.I am very new to blogging. any assistance would be helpful. The message is clear, the hour is at hand. I am to speak God's words against this false teaching of a rapture. I don't want this burden and why was I chosen? Just some of the words God has showed me so far....
