Hello. Hadn't seen this one in here yet.

Thought it might be nice to list the little things (or big ones) we're thankful for.

Being so near Thanksgiving, I thought it might be nice.

I'm thankful for the here and now.

Thankful to still have family around... many have family that can't come, or won't.

And still many more have no family to surround them in hard times.

Very thankful for the people on the Hospice floor at the hospital.

They are so very compassionate... and this is so needed.

Thankful to have laundry that gets dirty, for some people have little or nothing to wear.

Thankful to have dishes that need cleaning, for that means we have plenty of food to fill the dirty dishes.

Thankful to have carpet that needs vacuuming and cleaning, many do not have beyond a dirt floor.

Thankful to have a job (even if it gets stressful) as many (including my husband) are unemployed.

Thankful even now for my husband's unemployment as this frees him up to take his mother and go to the hospital to be with his dad.

Thankful for children who run up and down the halls, as this means they are healthy and happy, and many are neither.

Thankful to spend Thanksgiving in the hospital, because many won't be able to spend it with anyone or anything except alone and in hunger.

Thankful that Christmas gifts will be very, very small this year, or completely none. Thankful because it gives my kids a chance to see what it is really about... Christ instead of presents and a bunch of things we all want, but don't really need.

In fact the happiest Christmases in times past were times when we had to be creative and make our own things to give.

One of my sisters made a snack for us all out of pecans and sliced apples.

My other sister got up and made my bed for a week. I was so thrilled she would think of me. It was really special.

Thankful for Jesus.

He is my life, my salvation, my closest friend.

There when I need him and still there when I forget that I need him.

Ever bringing me back to His side.

Thankful for this place, and all who enter here.

God bless you!

:o

We all have much to be thankful for!!! I love this post sister.

I am thankful for Jesus dying on the cross to save me from my sins.

I am thankful that God has continued the work He has begun in me, my husband and our marriage, as I thought it was over.

I am thankful for my precious son who is a brightness in this dark world.

I am thankful that we have food and shelter and all provisions.

I am thankful for God's timing.

I am thankful for the Bible, our instructions for how to survive this crazy earth until we are called home.

I am thankful for the gift of salvation from my Father through Jesus Christ, my best friend.

I am thankful for my health as the Lord has kept me strong and impenetrable over the years.

I am thankful for all my family and my brothers and sisters here at Worthy.

Last night I went to friends to have dinner, she cooked meatloaf.... I am thankful that I got the smallest piece.

Mostly right now I'm thankful for antinauseants...if it weren't for them, I'd have spent the whole day puking.

I'm also thankful for my husband, and that he works for my father and was therefore able to stay home with my son and I to help us while we've been sick (we both caught some gross stomach bug). Hopefully I can feel well enough soon to do something special for him to thank him...maybe once I know I'm not contagious I'll make him his favourite cookies (and bring some to my dad to thank him for giving my husband the day off, too).

Also, God's been providing in a lot of ways over the last couple weeks. He's so Awesome.

I am thankful for my church The growth I have known there is unparalelled than at any other time in my life.

I am thankful for my Pastor. He is an amazing man of God.

I am thankful for my friends. They keep me sane with their insanity!

I am thankful for Mona-Vie! The benefits to our lives, the changes it has brought could only come from the Lord Almighty.

I am thankful God has given me the time to study His word. I am thankful for His love and grace, for the sacrifice of His Son. I am thankful for my husband who through all of the years where I was not right with God that he was always ready and willing to answer yet another silly question of mine. That alone showed me if a mere human can have that kind of patience with me what kind of patience God truly has.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
