Before the time of Moses, in the false pagan religion of Baal Worship (sun

worship), every December the 25th was celebrated as the rebirth of the false

sun god baal. To celebrate this, the people would hang little round balls on

the trees as symbols of the sun, and they would give gifts to one another.

The pagan religion of baal worship spread into different lands, using

different names for the false gods and false goddess. Baal worship got into

the pagan roman religion of ancient rome, and some of the traditions and

feast days of the roman religion got into roman catholicism.

Christmas, which is basically named after a mass for Christ is a roman

catholic holiday, and the pagan tradition of giving gifts on Dec. 25 and

hanging balls on trees got into this holiday. - But, it is a pagan practice

and it really has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus Christ.

So, I spent a small amount of time composing a little song about the matter:

Oh Christmas Tree

Oh pagan tree, Oh pagan tree!

Keep yourself away from me!

O pagan tree, O pagan tree!

A false religion, invented thee.

O pagan tree, O pagan tree!

False Baal worship spawned thee.

O pagan tree, O pagan tree!

The birth of Christ,

Has nothing to do with thee!

O pagan tree, O pagan tree!

Tiny globes hang like a bell.

Symbols of the sun god!

That deceived men into hell.

O pagan tree, O pagan tree,

Indignation you bring to me.

I am not a song writer. If anyone one on this forum wants to write a

better song about it, then post it here.

You can use this popular abominable song, to copy from:

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!

How are thy leaves so verdant!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,

How are thy leaves so verdant!

Not only in the summertime,

But even in winter is thy prime.

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,

How are thy leaves so verdant!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,

Much pleasure doth thou bring me!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,

Much pleasure doth thou bring me!

For every year the Christmas tree,

Brings to us all both joy and glee.

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,

Much pleasure doth thou bring me!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,

Thy candles shine out brightly!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,

Thy candles shine out brightly!

Each bough doth hold its tiny light,

That makes each toy to sparkle bright.

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,

Thy candles shine out brightly!

The Christmas tree is extrabiblical.

It has pagan roots from baal worship.

Baal worship is cited throughout the old testament as a false religion that led to both the downfall of the nations that God destroyed to give their land to Israel and later to the downfall of Israel itself when they worshipped baalim and ashteroth. [im is Hebrew masculine plural; oth is feminine plural. refering to the different names of the false gods, that the sun god baal took on and the different names that the queen of heaven took on in the different forms of baal worship in the different lands.

Astarte, Diana, Venus, Ishtar,--ashteroth

baal, baal berith, Zues, Chemosh, Milchom, Ra, Jupiter, --baalim

Deuteronomy 12:30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

Deuteronomy 12:31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

So, celebrating the birth of Christ, when God became a man, to redeem us, should have nothing to do with a pagan tradition of hanging things on trees and giving gifts, from babylonian baal worship.

12:31---thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God.---

Christmas trees are not serving God in any way in celebrating His birth.

It is a pagan tradition that originally started in the pagan baal worship in babylon which is an abominable religion in God's sight, as shown from the Old testament repeatedly.

If you think it is sinful then don't do it.

If you really don't consider it sinful then to you it is not a sin, if the bible does not call it a sin.

If you do consider it sinful, then to you it would be a sin, according to what it says in Paul's epistles about eating meat or things sacrificed to idols.

However, I think people that are christians should know the truth of where this originally comes from and decide for themselves if they want to have Christmas trees.

I think it is safe to say that it does not please God, although not really a sin if you don't consider it a sin.

As for me, I don't want anything to do with baal worship, in any form, and not in the form it is in now, disguised to look like something else.

See The Two babylons by Hislop.

scroll down to where it talks about the influence of babylon on the roman religion.

The woman in Revelation 17, has a name mystery babylon...

And the woman is called that city that reigneth over the kings of the earth.

reigneth is present tense to the time of the writing.

Rome is the city that reigned over the kings of the Earth when John wrote that.

He is spiritually calling Rome by the name babylon, just like he spiritually called Jerusalem, where our Lord was crucified, Sodom and Egypt.

You go who ever you are and don,t be surprised if this post is cut short. To day just like in the days just after the death of Jesus and before the people refused to give up thier pagan holidays which is why the Roman church in about 312 AD compromised the integrity of the church that Jesus started and allowed pagan practices and rituals into the worship of God the Father and His Son.

Aboslutely awesome post.

Just a thought, isn't this what the devil is wanting for so-called Christians today? I think was Paul in 2 Tim 3 who said that there were people who were preaching Christ in different fashions, for different reasons, but here's the thing: Christ was being preached.

Here's the thing... this argument over hte Christmas tree is petty. If you believe it's wrong, if that is how the Lord has convicted you, than that's great. If not, then this is truly petty argument, time consuming, and it takes away from honoring and glorying Christ.

Our goal in life shoudl be about pleasing God, not arguing about Harry Potter books and Christmas trees. I am about sick of people arguing instead of getting the gospel of Christ out. Isn't the devil so good at what he does to get us focused on a tree, about what some people have claimed it to stand for, instead of thinknig about the God of the Bible?

God can use ANYTHING for his glory. Use a Christmas tree or don't. It's about pleasing God, not winning an argument.

The devil also preaches Christ. Do we accept his gospel along with the rest?

or maybe some ppl see the tree as a icon that thru a seed a tree grows like our faith starts as a seed then grows

Then why kill it?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
