Here along the east coast, we will probably get the slow death - i.e. starvation. so, I take it there's nothing new going on with Yellowstone? Here along the east coast, we will probably get the slow death - i.e. starvation. so, I take it there's nothing new going on with Yellowstone? Most of the scientists that one could trust are saying that what is happening isn't normal; however, no one that I could trust is saying that there is any reason to think a big event is likely to happen soon. They all seem to think that should that big one happen, we will have weeks to even months to know about it..... that is if it follows the same path as other eruptions of smaller volcanoes. Problem is that we really don't know the precursors for a super blast, or if there really are any. There does seem to be a large lava or water flow in the north magma chamber from all the long lasting harmonic type movements that have lasted for days at a time..... and that tied into the changes in the Norris Basen tend to make me think that there is something going on that we really don't understand. The water output of the lake is high for this time of year and I have not seen any reason reported as to why, and that bothers me a bit. We may go back there this summer for a vacation trip on the way to Alaska if I get to retire next month. If so I'll send pictures. Here is a few from last summer. http://sam.evans.org/yellowstone1.htm
