I'm 26 years old but I keep noticing now that through various phases in my life there has been the same kind of characters popping up. There is always someone who thinks they know it all. There is always someone who is dangerously close to the dark side.. etc. And I don't mean that they simply posses these traits, they all seems to be kind of like the same person at times.

Is this a sign from God that we need these kind of people in our lives to weed out certain issues we may have? Or is it that the devil has these kinds of spirits around us who take control of the unsaved and annoy us with same old issues again and again and its really their personalities we are seeing? Sometimes its amazing how I will have the same kind of argument with one person that I had with another years ago for the same reason. Coincidence?

I don't think there's any great mystery to it...I think it's just that there's really nothing new under the sun. I mean, as much as we're all sortof individuals, there still has to be a finite number of main vices and ruling personality traits out there, you know?

The unsaved are always under the sway of Satan, until the day they are cast into the lake of fire. GOD is in control of Satan and limits what he can and can't do with and around a person who is one of HIS.

Satan is the tester, but GOD will not allow you to be tested greater than you can handle.

I would say that 90% of the time GOD allows and even encourages Satan to test you so that you will see how far you have come in knowledge and understanding. You can read the book of JOb dozens of times and the one aspect that comes out is how much Job learned through the trials as well as how much the trials reflected back to GOD the truth of who GOD is.

Remember, HE only test the ones HE loves.

As long as Satan is on the Lose yes! He is the ordinal entity that thought he knew it all and look where he ended up! He has lots of followers!

and history repeats itself as well. it just goes to show that satan is just not all that creative !!

I have found in my walk that God will use the same "type" of person or situation to build my faith.

Alot of times He is trying to work out issues in me. And if I run from these situations and not crucify my flesh and defeat these trials in the flesh I find myself going around the same ol' mountain again and again.

God wants us to conquer theae mountains in faith and walk victoriously.

I totaly understand where you are comming from!!! I noticed since I came back to Christ( I say came back cause he was always there it was I who left) that I would have the same situations pop up over and over with the same people like my life was a VCR tape and someone kept pressing rewind. So one night i prayed about it and God told me that theses same situations are comming up over and over because I am suppose to learn something from them and react differently than I had before.

A perfect example: My mother and i have had a rocky relationship in the past to say the least. Well I had to recently move back in with her and I noticed that the same old arguments would begin and the old Mary would start to come up and I would almost say something disrespectful and I heard Gods voice say to me "Dont let your tongue bring forth death but life" and so I did not say anything back to her rudely instead I was kind. We have not argued again. So you see I learned what God was trying to teach me FINALLY from not being disrespectful with my mother and so now it hasnt came back up.

So when those same characteristics keep on popping up in people or the same situations keep arising ask God for his guidance and ask him what he is try to teach you through these peopl or situations

It seems I keep going around the mountains over and over again much like the Isrealites when they had been going through the wilderness. I'll pray to God so that he helps me pass these tests.

This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

      Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
