Thank you for all of the encouraging replies! I just wanted to maybe give a little more insight as to where I am at right now. It is true, I am VERY BUSY this summer! lol! June 25-27 my husband and I have training for a missions trip to Peru, July 1 we are moving our family to another house, July 18 we leave for our missions trip in Peru. We will be doing street ministry and then teaching children at a christian music camp while in Peru, we return July 31. August we have family gatherings, and VBS at church which we are in charge of, and I am planning on beginning a new job end of August! WHEW! Things will be crazy, but good!

Also, this past weekend, I was at our annual "graduation" for the people graduating from the seminary for our church. This is people from all around the US and the world. We have several meetings, meals, fellowship, and of course the graduation ceremonies. This was a very pivotal weekend for me. I felt inspired to strengthen the ministry I have within my own church and community. I really need to focus on what I am doing this summer as well as my ministry.

Wow Katie! I am green with envy (in a good way)! :) Bless you...you will be in our prayers for ALL to go well with your mission trip to Peru and ALL the other activities you are involved in. Maybe you can post some in the Prayer Forum so that we can support you in prayer and post some in the Praise Forum so we can be encouraged by the wonderful work God is doing through you and your husband. Please keep in touch with us, your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Be blessed sister and thanks for sharing!

In Christ's Love,

Wayne

WOW Katie. It sounds like you do have your hands full for much of the summer, but what you'll be doing is in service to the Lord and I think that's wonderful. I know I will miss seeing you around here and I've enjoyed your posts. Just be sure and come back as soon as you can. We've gotten used to having you around here and so many of us will miss you. I have always admired how you and Shelby as friends support one another on the board here, although I do know there are many other friends that have supported you as well and vice versa.

Shelby, if you do take a break for a while, I hope you will come back soon too.

It never hurts to take a sabbatical and I guess summertime is a good time to do that with the weather being so nice.

God bless both of you. Stay safe and please come back.

Kat

Thanks all! I apologize for the tone of my last post. I was a little frustrated once again and i chose to put it into words. I am sorry. I am gonna take a short break, I might come on from time to time, but like Katie, I am going to be busy, like her I am moving the beginning of July and my church is moving into a new building. There is much more, but I just need some time to focus and contemplate on the things I have learned and been challenged by on these boards.

I do see this as a ministry opportunity, but at times it seems more like a debate. I try to remember that it is still a ministry even when I am posting as well. I like Katie, have a hard time not taking some peoples words literally when they are pointed at me. I am learning more and more that it is very hard to read the tone of a post. Pray for me. I hope to be back soon.

God bless all of you. (By the way there are select few that I have felt attacked or mistreated by, I do not consider the Worthy Family a hostile one.)

Have a Great June!

Praying for you very busy and frustrated "family members". Sometimes just a little rest gives renewal of the spirit. Remember, even Jesus sometimes went off for rest and refreshing. My prayers are will you. Y'all be missed. Please hurry back when you feel ready. Prayers and blessings, Goldpearl :b:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
