I would like to encourage everyone to pray over these things, and please pray before you post.

We live in a fallen world, and these people need Jesus.

Top Ten Instances of Christian Bashing in America, 2008

by Staff

January 13, 2009

VISTA Calif., (christiansunite.com) -- The Christian Anti-Defamation Commission (CADC) has prepared a Top Ten list of the most egregious acts of Christian Bashing in American in 2008. Every day in America serious Christians face increasing hostility at work, school, and in the culture because they stand for their faith and values.

"It is time for the Christian bashing to stop and for Christians to no longer be treated like second-class citizens," said Dr. Gary Cass, Chairman and CEO of CADC. "Anti-Christian bigotry is real and growing. Those who engage in it should be exposed and called to account."

The list will get longer and longer and longer ... I believe that we will be publicly bashed very soon.

No, that would be a new list.

This was for the year 2008.

Anything added will be for 2009.

Golly gee willickers....I never saw this list on the headlines of the evening news o newspapers, or Newsweek magazine, etc. :emot-hug: Or, should I say, I never saw it with the slant of "Christian bashing". More like "Christians getting what they deserve". Thanks for the list, Nebula, and I am sure that this year will see lots more instances of this type of thing and probably more violent (remember the elderly lady who was attacked by the homosexuals).

Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus.

Christians have a much easier time and are treated much more preferably than Minority Religions/groups. Its hard to cry persecution when we are the majority.

So far. And we are NOT the majority anymore. Welcome to the War of Gog and Magog kiddies. Dig in. Word is we'll be surrounded eventually (Rev 20). When that happens, prepare for an emergency airlift. God's gonna use the Holy Fuel Air Explosive. (2 Peter 3, Rev 20)

I am not a fan of Bill Maher, but I think he had a point on this one.

INSTANCE #9: Bill Maher Gratuitously Attacks Pope

Bill Maher, host of the HBO program Real Time, made light of the Pope during his recent visit and the tragic sexual abuse scandal. Maher said, "Now I know what you're thinking, Bill. You can't be saying that the Catholic Church is no better than this creepy (radical Mormon polygamist) Texas cult. For one thing, alter boys can't even get pregnant. But really, what tripped up the little cult on the prairie was that they only abused hundreds of kids, not thousands all over the world. Cults get raided; religions get parades... If you have a few hundred followers and you let some of them molest children, they call you a cult leader. If you have a billion, they call you Pope."

The attack was not gratuitous. His point was that the authorities raided the Mormons, took their children and called them a cult because they were marrying off and having sex with underage girls. The leader of that sect is currently in prison.

Yet, because the Catholic Church is worldwide and has tons of money and is considered a mainline religion and the Church KNEW boys were being molested by priests, they tried to hide it by moving molesters from place to place to protect them.....their leader is still in place.

Two leaders 1. in prison 2. Pope

That is what he was saying and it has merit.

I would have to agree with what you say to some extent but....Pope Benedict was not the leader of the Catholic church when all of those things happened. I would never speak ill of the dead so I'll just point out that the child abuse scandal happened on the watch of this Pope's predessor and the one before him. I don't believe the Catholic church will ever be able to live that down.
