  2. makes no sense. How did the US and 32 other countries do this every year in Jordan since 2011 w/o Jordan being a part of it and are now joining in 2024.
  3. You probably already know this; what they show the public is old news. They are most likely 10 or more years more advanced than what they are reporting to the public as current break through's with AI and cyborg types.
  4. by Karen Faulkner, Worthy News Correspondent (Worthy News) – Voting along party lines, the Republican-led House has approved a bill that would break with 230 years of practice by adding a question on citizenship to the census: the move would cut non-citizens from the decennial count and reduce the number of seats held by states with high non-citizen populations relative to other states. The bill was introduced by Arizona Republican congressman Rep. Andy Biggs and passed a 206-202 party-line vote on Wednesday, the Washington Times reports. In explaining his reason for introducing the bill, Biggs said political power should not be based on non-citizens, especially those who are undocumented. Referencing the border crisis, Biggs said the current situation “has distorted the population and skewed the one-person, one-vote standard,” Biggs said in a statement. Leading the opposition to the bill, Maryland Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin said in a statement that the US Constitution apportions seats based on the “whole number of persons in each state” and that the US Supreme Court has reiterated this in its decisions. “For all of you textualists out there, the plain reading of the text of the Constitution is clear,” Rasikin said. “For all of the constitutional originalists out there, the original purposes have been carefully articulated and never rebutted,” Raskin added. The Biden administration has also expressed its opposition to the measure. “The Biden-Harris Administration is committed to ensuring that the census remains as accurate as possible and free from political interference, and to upholding the longstanding principle of equal representation enshrined in our Constitution, census statutes, and historical tradition,” the White House said in an official statement of policy. The proposed legislation now moves to the Democratic-led Senate for consideration, where it is not expected to be approved. 5. Here is another verse I recently ran across that may be related. It may not be as straight forward as the other one I posted earlier. Just something for people to think on. Isa 49 16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
  6. by Karen Faulkner, Worthy News Correspondent (Worthy News) – Asserting its decision has “nothing to do” with the current crises in the Middle East, Jordan has announced it will join 32 other countries to participate in this year’s “Eager Lion” military exercises involving each country’s ground, naval, and air forces, the Times of Israel reports. Organized by the US Defense Department, “Eager Lion” is a two-week multinational military exercise held annually in Jordan since 2011. Ten Arab countries and 22 other countries, including the United States, France, and Britain, are taking part in the drills, which will end on May 23, TOI reports. While the drills are set to include anti-terrorism and air defense training, and Jordan, Britain, France, and the UK all helped to defend Israel against the recent missile attack by Iran, the Israeli military is engaged in a war against Hamas in Gaza and is not participating. In a statement to reporters, Jordanian army spokesman Colonel Mustafa al-Hiyari said the “Eager Lion” drills are needed to deal with “terrorist organizations” and “the proliferation of drones, and biological, chemical and nuclear weapons of mass destruction,” as well as major disasters and aiming “to confront the emerging and cross-border threats of this era.” Jordan’s decision to join the drills has “nothing to do with regional developments,” al-Hiyari added. “The Eager Lion drill is an extraordinary opportunity for all of us to strengthen ties, exchange knowledge and expertise among our countries’ armed forces, and stand united in our commitment to support the regional and international security and ability to [respond],” Brig. Gen. Hassan Khaldi, JAF director of military training, said in a statement. 7. I had never heard that. I don't think it's a thing here. In Holland a lot of evangelical churches are for older people, men and women and the kids paint an egg box or something. When I got saved we had an I think paid youth leader and it was fabulous, these youth services and we'd go somewhere for a week. I feel sorry for my kids that there is nothing here. We went to a church here. I thought: Finally they're old and can go to the normal service, but nope, they wanted to use them to watch the kids, so the parents could cosily sit in the service. Bye then. There is one awesome church at the other side of the country. I just watch it online. My mom watches it every day. He was a youth leader where we went as youth sometimes. Now he's 74 and still just as fun and loads of youth get saved all the time. A pity we're stuck here and I cant drive and have no car.
  8. Thanks for the references! Matthew 24 is such an interesting and important series of verses that have been discussed since the time of the Messiah. They are indeed quite difficult to interpret. Almost all commentators agree they speak of the end times, and that may just be the case, but during my study of Daniel, I think they might speak to the time of the Messiah- His first coming. Here are the thoughts behind this: 1) Probably the most important term to discuss is the AOD, or the Abomination that causes desolation. This is always attributed to an end time event surrounding a “mythical anti-Christ figure.” This term is first mentioned in Daniel and I believe it refers to one specific event in the history of mankind- the most horrific and incomprehensible evil transgression that could be committed against our God- the Jews rejection and crucifixion of their Messiah. This “abomination” is the basis for God to turn away from His people for the next 2000 years (time of the Gentiles). This transgression surpassed their earlier disobedience and idolatry that resulted in their complete destruction of Jerusalem and their 70 year captivity in Babylon. This transgression (abomination), would now cause God to become completely “desolate” to His people. And this is exactly what has taken place since 70 AD. So, how does this tie into Matthew? It ties into Matthew, Mark and Luke. In Matthew, Jesus references Daniel and says, “when you see the AOD STANDING in the holy place… In Mark, Jesus references Daniel and says. “When you see the AOD standing where it ought not be… In Luke, Jesus does not use the word “abomination” nor does he mention the book of Daniel, but he does refer to the time of the coming “desolation.” All three are speaking of the same event and time in history. In Matthew, it is Jesus (abomination of the cross) who will be found STANDING in the holy place. Matthew speaks to the Jews and speaks about Jesus as a King, their Messiah. It is EXPECTED to find Him STANDING IN THE HOLY PLACE- that is where Kings belong. In Mark, it is Jesus (abomination of the cross) who will found STANDING WHERE HE OUGHT NOT BE. Mark speaks about Jesus, not as a king, but as a servant. Everything in Mark speaks of Jesus as helping, serving, healing His people. Thus, Mark is telling us this same “AOD” should not be found standing in the holy place- SERVANTS DO NOT BELONG IN THE HOLY PLACE. But in Luke, there is a departure (seemingly) from the way this event (AOD) is presented. Here, Luke focuses on Jerusalem and the word “desolate.” Now, as a result of the AOD (Cross), Jerusalem will be surrounded by armies, THEN, desolation is near (not an end time event either). This would take place in 70 AD, and as a result of the Jews rejecting and crucifying their Messiah. Luke does not speak of Jesus as a king or a servant, but as a MAN. Consequently, no MAN could be found to “cause” complete desolation between God and His people. No MAN could be found to “cause” a complete destruction of Jerusalem and His people. Thus, this MAN is being mentioned as a time marker revealing the beginning of the time when God would cause a complete desolation between Him and His people (70 AD). That is how I found these verses to fit with the new interpretations of Daniel. Finally, a very different interpretation of Matthew 24:22, which is also tied to the Daniel prophecies might be considered: 24:22… Unless those days be shortened, no flesh would be saved…. Once again, all commentators treat this as an end time event when God will have to intervene in the destruction on earth otherwise everyone would perish. But I believe this is also speaking about the Messiah (His first coming). As mentioned, Jesus arrived on the first day of the 70th week of the 70 weeks of years prophecy. The first 69 weeks are completed and Jerusalem, His people, all the Levitical ceremonies and practices have been reinstated, and the Sabbatical cycles are also being honored. This is the purpose of the 70 weeks of years prophecy- The things (physical and spiritual) that MUST be restored after the Babylonian destruction. Everything was fully restored by the end of the 69th week - these “things” were an obligation and commitment of the Jews. There is only one item that had yet to be restored- and this can only be restored by God. Thus, on the first day of the 70th week, Jesus would be both baptized by John and anointed by God in the Jordan. This would begin the last 7 years of the prophecy, the beginning of His ministry and in 9:24, God would reveal those requirements that He had given to His Son to complete DURING this final “Holy Week.” But of course He would be rejected and crucified exactly 3.5 years within the last week (in the midst of the week). However, His sacrifice would pay the price for ALL of our sins should we place our faith in Him. Meaning, that if Jesus had not gone to the cross “in the midst of the week,” then WE, ALL OF US, would not be saved! We would have no way to pay for our sins - except through our own blood. His plan of salvation from before the beginning of the world included the cross. Jesus knew He would go to the cross BEFORE the completion of the last 7 years of His ministry (70 weeks of years prophecy)… had He NOT shortened these days, NO FLESH WOULD BE SAVED. Consequently, most of Daniel speaks to the Messiah (first coming), not the end times. Look forward to your thoughts, Charlie
  9. I have a few minutes to kill and had been thinking about this a little lately (as I think the time of this age is short), so I thought to "bless" all y'alls with my crazy thoughts . . . In Revelation we have the beast, the false prophet and the dragon - an unholy trinity. The dragon is assuredly the devil. He is unseen and behind the scenes, much like God the Father is in the holy trinity. The false prophet would then seem to be akin to Christ, and then the beast would be the unholy version of the Spirit perhaps? (I dunno - maybe that doesn't line up so well . . .) In any case, I would think the false prophet must be able to do various miracles (like Jesus) to reinforce his speaking. With all the talk of AI these days, and also of cyber implants, I wonder if a person (the beast) of this unholy trinity might become a walking AI/internet connected cyborg/human being, who could know and deduce an amazing amount of information in an instant. And, from my understanding, when the antichrist receives a death blow, they come back to life in 3 days. I wonder if, at that time, they convey themselves to be a superior being/God or a god-like eternal being, who either created life on this planet or seeded humans here. Maybe then they would reveal that all the UFOs were under their control. (I've long thought that this one might reveal the supposedly "true" nature behind UFOs, etc.) And this one, when he comes back to life, will then break the 7 year covenant, which he had quite amazingly orchestrated 3.5 years earlier, and sets himself up as God in the Hebrew temple (which must have been rebuilt). I always thought that the Jews would oppose this one, but I think the devil wants the worship of the Jews as a final insult to God, so perhaps he causes them to believe he actually is God, and they cease their temple sacrifices voluntarily. Well my free time of ruminating is gone and I must get on with the work of tilling my piece of ground . . .

  11. I hear this all the time. I don't know what it means nor do I understand why it's the fault of women that men don't do their part in church and/or just quit coming.
  12. Yes there is. I used to hear it and be part of it five to seven times a day for a couple if decades. Overall, I especially find the process of grieving, along with it's rituals and it's ending period as established within and by Jewish customs (As I have understood them) to be most beneficial. The idea that one can ignore successfully just doesn't work out well. Had so many individuals come back to me one and two years later after a death, desperately seeking something.- They just didn't really know what. I often found myself then as a grief counselor, and not a "salesman". Fortunately I worked for a firm that had very strong leaning that way to start with. Had to deal with it within my own immediate family too. All of us face it one way or another. The toll it takes can either build up or tear down, I think based primarily on not trying to sidestep grief and a very real grieving process, one with a calendar of times that fits and forces movement toward acknowledgement and adjusting. Takes both time and active doing to accomplish and finish to it's "perfection" or completion.
  13. Neighbor, There is of course plenty in Scripture to help guide in matters of funerals and death and gently encouraging and challenging ppl.
  14. Thanks @D. Adrien for the 'like'. I do think that for the believer tattoo/piercing parlors can be either a distraction or an opportunity. The way it works for one person may work differently for others. The demand for it is huge, certainly. ........................................ Paula Castle took up tattooing after being made redundant from a sales job ..."I really did not want to do it. ...But I’m a bit of an all or nothing person so I said ‘yes’ and really pushed myself and I’ve not stopped...About 97% of my clients are female and that is universal across the board." James McCarthy, Mirror dot co dot uk ............................ Anyway I've talked to various young ppl about the Bible verses that they have gotten shot in with ink, which often prompt conversations with other ppl; you've probably seen them too.
  15. Yes, we all will be called haters and thought of as bigots and racists. Eventually, they will believe they are doing God a favor by killing us. Nothing new under the sun.
  16. Hi @1to3 Back a bit you said: "The New Testament does not say anything about whether or not a believer should get a tattoo." So do you think that at least indirectly it may be the sort of subject that may be covered by Romans 14 Christian liberty? Some tattoos that believers obtain are faith-based in content. FYI: .............. Quote ..in the rural Bible Belt. Just about every person in three of the four sides of my family (bio parents, step parents) have multiple tattoos. Most of them are biblical (crosses between the shoulder blades are the most common ones) getting tattoos when your old enough is pretty much expected in the family. source: reddit ................. GodsGrace said: almost every young girl I know has some sort of tatoo. Even those very conservative types. christianityboard dot com ....................
  17. and all this is currently happening whilst we still have bibles! which makes me think that bibles that we know currently, value and love will be an offence to this new normal...you can 'see the seeds' of persecution developing imo
  18. Blessings Dennis I read your OP and really have not read the 4 pages of replies( yet, might?) For me this is always been very simple- there is but one " singular" unpardonable sin- 'Causing Holy Spirit to Grieve" Blasphemy, well what exactly is blasphemous to Holy Spirit? OR rather what in fact is so grievous to Holy Spirit that cannot be Forgiven The hardened heart that by choice rejects Him,that Blasphemous heart, soul and mind is unrepentant and does not seek Forgiveness......can it be the Apostate, yes Can it be the reprobate, yes Can it be anyone ,yes ..... I Believe anyone seeking Forgiveness has not grieved Holy Spirit- the Blasphemy God's Word speaks of is not about words,it's about willful, deliberate ,intentional, rejection of Holy Spirit With love in Christ,Kwik One sin- flat out rejection without remorse
  19. the Methodist Church ...oh boy i did attend for a short while and then they announced that they were going to do gay weddings ...suffice it to say i left...not mentioned if they will recruit gay pastors...i did have a chat with the minister ...who couldnt see what was wrong...she has tried to get me back but i think what about communion and the church that accepts, to put it bluntly, sodomy. where does that put Christians who hold to the faith? when sin is being dismissed...where can a Christian go for spiritual guidance are my thoughts regarding this.
  20. Living in tornado alley, we hear of things like this off and on all the time. It kind of takes the amazement of it away when we hear of it so much. Also how people come together in the aftermath of it all.
  21. By Stefan J. Bos, Chief International Correspondent Worthy News GENEVA/WASHINGTON/THE HAGUE (Worthy News) – Prominent critics, including politicians and experts, fear the World Health Organization (WHO) will make another bid for global control with an amendment of the International Health Regulations and the signing of what is now called the “WHO Pandemic Agreement.” Although the WHO watered down some provisions of its pandemic agreement, critics say the changes don’t do enough to address the concerns over the policy. Together, the amendments and agreement would give WHO sweeping powers before and during pandemics to dictate the actions of national governments. “The devil is in the details, and WHO refuses to spell out those details,” Reggie Littlejohn, founder of the Anti-Globalist International movement, said in published remarks about the pandemic agreement. “The amendments to the regulations and the adoption of the agreement look like the institution of world government, ‘global governance’ as they call it,” Frank Gaffney, cofounder of the Sovereignty Coalition, added. The agreements will top the agenda at the World Health Assembly, the 194-member body governing the WHO, which convenes in Geneva at the end of May. The current version of the agreement, dated April 22 of this year, gives WHO emergency powers to take 10 percent of a country’s “pandemic-related health products” and to force the sale of another 10 percent of such products at “affordable prices.” The agreement also requires parties to make “annual monetary contributions,” but it does not specify terms, conditions, or amounts. Additionally, the document contemplates the forced licensing of technology, commits countries to a radical “One Health approach” covering all forms of life, and prohibits “national stockpiles of pandemic-related health products that unnecessarily exceed the quantities anticipated to be needed for domestic pandemic preparedness and response.” A signatory to the agreement must “set aside a portion of its total procurement of relevant diagnostics, therapeutics, or vaccines in a timely manner for use in counties facing challenges in meeting public health needs and demand.” OPEN-ENDED LANGUAGE The agreement, which has open-ended language, is intended to work in conjunction with the International Health Regulations regarding “public health surveillance.” Amid pressure, several proposals that would have given the WHO the power to issue binding directives to member states have been dropped. However, experts say significant issues remain, such as the affirmation of the WHO as “the directing and coordinating authority on international health work, including on pandemic prevention, preparedness and response.” Proposals that critics said aimed to construct a “global censorship” and “information control” operation led by the WHO were also dropped, but the texts still commit member states to enhance their abilities to counter “misinformation and disinformation,” which in practice have meant silencing critical media outlets, Worthy News learned. However, the WHO has defended the pandemic treaty, saying, among other things, that “member states are primarily responsible for the health of their citizens” and that its role will be limited to being “the directing and coordinating authority on international cooperation around health work.” Experts criticizing the treaty say it remains a “major threat to individual freedom, national sovereignty and sanctity of human life.” In the event of a new “health crisis” or “global pandemic,” the proposed treaty would give far-reaching powers over the member states regarding the alleged crisis or pandemic. U.S. Congressional Republicans and their allies oppose President Joe Biden’s administration’s involvement in the talks. They say the process needs to reflect more efforts to review or learn from the WHO’s track record during the pandemic. They also argue that the proposed agreement would strengthen the WHO’s hand at the expense of U.S. interests – including free speech and freedom of religion. Republicans have expressed concerns, for instance, about previous WHO-recommended lockdowns in churches. NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY “We must ensure that the final draft does not violate our national sovereignty or infringe upon the rights of the American people,” said Republican Congressman Brad Wenstrup, a doctor and chair of a special subcommittee investigating the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of miles (kilometers) away in the Netherlands, long seen as one of the most liberal European nations, a similar discussion is taking place. According to its legislator, Fleur Agema, the Dutch anti-Islam Party for Freedom (PVV), which won parliamentary elections in November, is against a pandemic treaty. “It looks like this treaty is a directive. Richer countries, such as the Netherlands, will have to give money to poorer nations to ensure their pandemic preparedness is in order, while we do not even have it in order ourselves,” she stressed. Many legislators share her views. Yet despite being part of a caretaker government, Dutch Health Minister Pia Dijkstra has refused to back down and says the Netherlands, as one of the co-initiators, will sign the pandemic treaty anyway. She said the Netherlands is “an international leader when it comes to international cooperation in the field of public health,” and there is “consensus” in the European Union on this issue. Despite many objections, critics fear that many countries will still sign the WHO treaties. 23. Oh, I forgot to mention the connection of the Jews preaching the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus during the last 3.5 years (their end time Damascus experience when Jesus will open their eyes) with the verse in Matthew. 24. by Karen Faulkner, Worthy News Correspondent (Worthy News) – Pastor Joby Martin, founder and lead pastor of Florida’s The Church of Eleven22 reports that his church witnessed a record 1,614 people publicly declare their faith in Jesus through baptism during an annual one-day Gospel event earlier this month, Crosswalk reports. The yearly event took place at Hanna Park Beach in Jacksonville, Florida on May 5. Noting that thousands of friends and family members joined the church members and baptismal candidates at this year’s event, Martin said 500 more people were baptized this year than last year, when 1126 people were baptized. “We are a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ. Today, we celebrated over 1,600 people proclaiming Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior,” Martin said in a statement. “It doesn’t get much better than that. The church is alive and well, the Spirit of God is on the move and the gospel of Jesus Christ is still changing lives as it has for thousands of years.” “This gathering represented one of the most significant days in the decade-long history of the church,” The Church of Eleven22 added in a statement. “The Church of Eleven22 remains steadfast in our commitment to glorify God by surrendering to Jesus, making disciple-making disciples, and transforming communities,” the church added. “Today’s event served as a powerful reminder of the joy that comes from a community unified by a shared faith and joy that can only come from God.” The post Florida Church Baptizes More Than 1,600 People In One Day appeared first on Worthy Christian News. 25. by Karen Faulkner, Worthy News Correspondent (Worthy News) – Concerns are intensifying for the health of two house church leaders in eastern China who have been imprisoned on charges of alleged fraud, International Christian Concern (ICC) reports. Leaders of the underground Ganquan Church in Hefei, Anhui, Pastor Zhou Songlin and Elder Ding Zhongfu were arrested and imprisoned in November, ICC reports. Both men are now reported to be very ill, with symptoms including chest pain and dizziness. Pastor Songlin has stated he is afraid he may die in jail. Ganquan house church is considered “illegal” by the Chinese government because it refuses to register under the state-controlled Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM), China’s only approved church. Strictly regulated by the government, TSPM churches have to declare loyalty to the communist regime, preach sermons in support of the government, and promote Chinese nationalism and culture. As it is an illegal entity, the Ganquan church is not allowed to purchase property. Communist authorities have accused Songlin and Zhongfu of illegally using church funds to buy property in their own names, ICC reports. Fourteen other church members were originally detained with them, but the two men alone remain in prison. Church members have spoken in their defense, saying the two leaders had done nothing wrong and were operating under strict financial controls. In a statement published by Bitter Winter on May 1, Songlin and Zhongfu’s wives pleaded for their husbands’ release, explaining: “For more than twenty years, Ganquan Church has been based on the Christian faith, strictly following the teachings of the Bible, honoring God and benefiting people, and self-regulating its congregation, in accordance with the Christian Church’s thousands (of) years of tradition, drawing on its own resources, and maintaining the normal operation of the church. The church has a strict financial management system, and the management and use of all funds are supervised by many people with Elder Ding reporting to the congregation as treasurer.” China is ruled by the oppressive authoritarian Chinese Communist Party and ranks 19 on the Open Doors World Watch List 2024 of the top 50 countries where Christians are persecuted. 26. by Karen Faulkner, Worthy News Correspondent (Worthy News) – The pastor of a Christian ministry in Pennsylvania says God protected his congregants when a tornado tore into their church building during a worship service Saturday, ripping off the steeple and a roof, and smashing windows Crosswalk reports. According to the National Weather Service, the twister was probably an EF-2 tornado with winds between 111-135 mph. One hundred members of Crossroads Ministries in Finleyville, Pa. survived unscathed apart from a few cuts and bruises when the tornado slammed into their building at 6pm on Saturday May 11, Crosswalk said. “We saw a complete miracle. The hand of God almighty was upon us,” Pastor Ken Barner said during the Sunday sermon the next day. “We’re so thankful for that,” Barner added. “We’re standing on the promises of God right now. … I know that we will get through this.” . The pastor’s wife Rhonda Barner was singing a worship song on the stage during a livestream of the service when the power started to fail. “I saw the lights were flickering and I saw they went out,” she told WPXI-11 News. “I thought I heard the windows start to shatter, and then the sound was like a train coming through and more windows were shattering.” In a separate statement to KDKA, congregant Linda Desing said the experience was harrowing. “We were sitting there singing a hymn and the lights started flickering,” Desing said. “All of a sudden, one of the windows blew out and everybody ducked for cover. I don’t ever want to experience this again; I’ve thought about what it might be like to be in a tornado, and I don’t ever want to experience this again.” .
