  1. Zion, these are some really good questions! I don't think most of them know, but I do believe some do. When I think of a person who's a "tare", I don't typically think of someone who'd ever even question themselves as to whether they were a "tare". As to those who do, we do see in Scripture where people went into churches with the sole intent to cause division. Yes, when and if they become saved, as I see the wheat as believers, and the tare as unbelievers. For this to be possible, one would have to believe one could "lose" or "give back" their salvation, which I don't think someone who's truly been born again would/could ever do. What do you think?
  2. Genesis 3:7 English Standard Version (ESV) 7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.
  3. Just so everyone can see...... 1 Corinthians 15:45 So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. 47 The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven. NASB 1 Corinthians 15:45 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. 47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.
  4. Not to discount anything you experienced, but you know, sometimes dreams are just dreams, even ones that are spiritual in nature. I often have dreams in which I rebuke demons with the name of Jesus, but they're just dreams, not a message from God, not a demonic attack, just dreams. Oftentimes our conscious mind can repress much of the fear we feel, but when we fall asleep that consciousness isn't there to hold it back and we experience that fear in our dreams. Again, I don't want you to think I'm writing off what you've shared. It's just something that was shared with me that eased my anxiety about my dreams, so I felt I should share it with you. Bless you, brother.
  5. Nebula, this was beautiful. Thank you for sharing it, sister.
  6. With a question like this, I always compare translations as Fez has done above already. Proverbs 5:22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellers they are established. Proverbs 5:14Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellers there is safety. (KJV)
  7. Hey Helm, can you elaborate on this? What do you mean by "vulgarly human"?
  8. Yes, we do have the Holy Ghost, all us brothers and sisters on this thread, the same Holy Ghost who inspired this..... 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; NASB 1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. ESV These things aren't to offend you, sister, but for us to reason together to see if these things be of God, as the Word tells us to. If what you say is true, it will stand up to scrutiny, so no worries, but if it doesn't, wouldn't you want to know? As certain as you feel these things are true, aren't we all fallible and have the potential to be mistaken? If you've been deceived, just if, wouldn't you want to know? Surely you wouldn't want us to simply agree with you if we thought it was the case, not to be ugly or condemn you, but out of love for you as a sister in Christ. Worse than that, how would you feel if you'd come to find out you were not only wrong, but had led others astray? I can't believe you'd be okay with that. You don't seem like that type of person at all who just wouldn't care if others were hurt. I hope you come to see the brothers and sisters concerns for the place from which they truly come, not as condemnation, but from a place of care, care for God's Word, His Name and Holiness, care for you, and care for others who may be confused if all the things you say are not truly of God.
  9. We have His grace. We've been blessed to hear the gospel message and to be able to respond to it. When this life is over, we'll go to be with Him. He's made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could be spared the horrors of hell and eternal separation from Him. When I start to get down on life, I remind myself of this and ask myself one question......isn't that enough? If He never did one other thing for me, ever, (and believe me, He does waaayyyyy more for me every second of every day than I'll ever realize)...isn't what He did on the cross for me, enough for me?
  10. I'd stay out of it. If your sister's the boss, and you don't even work at the company anymore, then she should be the one to handle it.
  11. I have to echo my brother and sister's advice above. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? 16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 17 “Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord. “And do not touch what is unclean; And I will welcome you.
  12. Very thought-provoking, the article's asking the question, why are some groups seemingly held to the letter of the law by some, and some only to the spirit of it? I've heard of women being condemned for wearing pants and having short hair, but I've never heard a man condemned for having a white collar job or not greeting with a kiss.
  13. The idea with being in a fellowship is that it's a whole group of people, not just one person. You won't burden a group or wear them out because it isn't all on one person to help you. Still praying for you, sister.
  14. I think you are absolutely correct Fez..... Another vote for Fez's advice here.
  15. Why isn't avoiding the problem possible? I've had to cut ties with members of my own family over things like this. Some people are best loved from a distance. God doesn't want us to be doormats, or to be abused.
  16. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?
  17. If you're a believer, you do have the Holy Spirit living on the inside of you. It has nothing to do with feelings or emotions. There's nothing wrong with you if you didn't "feel" anything when it took place. Some people feel it. Some don't, and both are ok. I didn't feel the Holy Spirit come into me when I got saved either, but I know it took place because that's what Scripture states. Scripture also states He hears our prayers and answers them, and gives instruction on how to pray in such a way that we know our prayers are answered. Just because we don't get what we ask for when we pray doesn't mean our prayers weren't heard or answered. "No" is an answer, albeit one our flesh doesn't like very much. The Bible is ripe with answers to these questions. If I were you, I'd do a study on the Holy Spirit, and then one on prayer. You'll find so much comfort in what the Word has to say to you on these matters.
  18. The one I've thought about most recently is how the unsaved during the trib will cry out for rocks to fall on them and kill them......but they still refuse to repent.
  19. Merry Christmas Beloved And a Merry Christmas to both you gentlemen. Dare I say.. God bless ye merry gentlemen? LOL!
