  1. Honestly I should be eating like that. I have tried several times to go vegetarian only to fall flat on my face each time. Veggies alone just don’t keep me full. Maybe I’m not eating the right veggies.
  2. That is an amazing act on that man’s part, but that still may not be love. 1Co 13:3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. We are all going to suffer for the Lord Jesus at some point, especially if we stand firm for him. It is given to us to do so. Bless that pastor, but each one of us is going to suffer individually as well. Php 1:28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. Php 1:29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, Php 1:30 since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have. Act 5:41 The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name. I think that is a pretty tricky subject. There may be times where a believer may have to intervene for a fellow believer that way, but I don’t think God is asking us to take on physical torture for each other. Tortured for Christ is a blessing to that individual being tortured. Easy for me to say in the comfort of my home, but I believe that.
  3. First I ever heard of bean tacos. I might have to see if my local Tex - mex spot does that.
  4. We can buy from Muslims. God allowed the Corinth Christians to eat meat sacrificed to idols. We know there is only one God.
  5. Beans and rice are in burritos, so I go with burritos. Taco Bell has them for $1. Lol
  6. I kind of understand what you are saying, but when whatever truth is pushed off as Dogma or facts it should have backing and facts behind it. That is how we are able to combat Gnosticism(hidden knowledge or truth) and false doctrine.(twisted truth). We are told repeatedly to not follow Jewish myths and genealogies. Historically extra biblical things that may or may not be true. 1Ti 1:3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer 1Ti 1:4 or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God's work—which is by faith. 1Ti 4:7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. Tit 1:14 and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the merely human commands of those who reject the truth. The word of God reveals to us clearly what is truth. God does not hide truth from his born ones. We can all pick up the lamp of the word in this dark world. I say all that to say dogmatic truth had better have a firm backing.
  7. Honestly I don’t know. It just says Peruvian style on the building. Lol
  8. There are giants today. There are people that are nearly 8 feet tall. I remember my dad taking me to see Andre the Giant as a child and that guy looked like a mountain. So did blackjack Mulligan.
  9. Lol, I actually saw my grandma eat chicken feet. She also brought a whole hog head to the table one time and said “dig in”. She started on the eye sockets of the pig ?. Bless her soul, but me and my siblings politely declined.
  10. Oh wow. Lol I can eat rice and beans everyday. Absolutely love em. The local El Pollo Ranchero has the best.
  11. I eat angus beef dogs or Hebrew Nationals. No pork or chicken franks for me. Someone once told me they chop up the chicken beaks in hotdogs ?
  12. I believe it is very literal. I also believe Christ is the ultimate answer to all your questions. Sin against God is deserving of death. He is our creator, and he didn’t make us puppets or robots. He gave clear warnings of what not to do and what to do. As a Holy and righteous God who cannot overlook sin he did show mercy. He made them coats of skin, and gave them a temporary way to continue fellowship with him (as was shown by Abel)until he would eventually crush his own Son for us all. God Loves man, and desires us to be with him. In Adam we would not be heirs of God, seated at his right hand. In Christ, man is at a level where Adam could have never taken us. Our fall was really a blessing. Christ Jesus is now enjoying the glory he had before, but as a man bringing all of us who believe with him. Heb 2:9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. Heb 2:10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. We have his divine nature in Christ, where as Adam was simply innocent and made from dust. 2Pe 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2Pe 1:4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
  13. If it’s done right a hotdog is hard to beat.
  14. There is a great cartoon version of Pilgrim’s progress that I had on VHS and DVD years ago. You can actually find it on YouTube I believe. Even though I personally do not watch movies with actors playing our Lord, I have to say Jesus of Nazareth is amazing.
  15. Tongues was only used for a sign to the Jews as proof that God also blessed the Gentiles with the Holy Spirit. The first time tongues were used was to teach the Jews from every corner of the earth the Gospel in their own language. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a one time event whereby the Spirit places all who hear the Gospel and trust Christ into his body. It is spoken of in past tense. Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 1Co 12:13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Eph 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 2Co 5:5 Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Being filled with the Spirit is the only repeatable act of the Spirit towards us, not the Baptism. It is only once.
  16. I would think it’s not difficult at all for one with the gift of interpreting dreams. The hardest part for you or I is finding that brother or sister.
  17. Thank God for the Holy Spirit. Brother, I have been through some dark and difficult times and the Comforter has not once let me down. Those filthy habits and sins of mine? He took them up on my behalf. Teaching me that I am no longer obligated to do them. Such a blessing as he grows my love and obedience to Christ my Lord day by day.
  18. Amen! Listening to one of my favorite gospel songs the other day and I literally had to ask God to stop. I couldn’t gather my composure as tears were just streaming. I really believe the incredible feeling we are gonna have when we see our Lord face to face is going to be amazing. This old flesh we have now simply can’t handle it. It just melts when he gives us just a fraction of his presence.
  19. The first time I cried out to God I had that exact same feeling. Such peace and it felt like I was literally melting like butter. Tears rolling, my skin felt like electricity was running through it. It was wonderful. I definitely believe that is from God. Funny thing my actual conversion was so quiet and laid back. No explosions of emotion, just a quiet belief in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  20. Growth in faith comes with trials and hardship. God gives or allows each of us enough testing and trials to trust him more and more. 1Pe 1:5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 1Pe 1:6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 1Pe 1:7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. I always say to myself in any trial, that this is an opportunity to trust God. Faith can be as small as a mustard seed, yet it is sufficient in whatever situation or trial God allows us to go through. To me that is living growing faith. Jas 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. 1Co 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
  21. Your mind is very important in Salvation. To believe in your heart does not mean to the disqualifying of your mind. You must be able to understand the truth of the Gospel in your mind first, then believe it with your heart, which simply means to trust Christ and his merit apart from works. You do not work for righteousness, you believe in your heart for righteousness. Rom 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Rom 10:10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Gal 2:16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified. Php 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. If your friend has placed his trust in Christ as God the Father’s gift of Life and righteousness, then he is saved. Him not knowing if he did that is another story.
  22. Man, who attacks a Christian website? Even before I was saved I had a certain fear of religion. Especially nuns and the pope. Lol
  23. He used to teach that Jesus had to suffer in hell fire for redemption, throwing the Holy Spirit like a baseball and knocking people out. He taught many strange doctrines. Again, I’m happy for this start though. This could be huge for the Christian community if he make a full U turn.
  24. Seems like a good start. You can’t really fault a man for confessing his sin. Hopefully he renounces all of his erroneous teachings from the past. Either way this takes a lot for a man in his position to do.
