In Christianity, Does Jesus' Soul Have Anything To Do With Why Jes
Willa replied to JesusIsGod7's topic in Theology
1. The guy admits that he is not a Christian, so he does not have the light or enlightenment of the Holy Spirit to understand spiritual things. 2. In us the Spirit of God resides in the soul, which constitutes self. However, I believe Jesus was fully God in Spirit and Soul; He was fully God dwelling in human flesh. We are only told in Scripture that Col. 2:9, 1:19 NKJV for in Him dwells all the fullness of Godhead bodily. (In bodily form). For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell. And in John 1:14 And the Word became Flesh and dwelt among us. 3.I don't think that anyone burns in hell for not fully understanding this. We can never fully comprehend God or the incarnation, but we are so thankful for it. I don't know why the guy was yelling that the soul of Jesus had nothing to do about Him being God. He seemed very confused and nervous in the video. Perhaps God was convicting him. He was obviously trying to discredit Christianity and mock it; yet he seemed to have a little bit doctrinal teaching but he was rejecting the light he had, so I suspect his deeds are evil. John 3:19-20. Perhaps he is the one that is in danger of going to hell for blasphemy and for rejecting Christ? He does need our prayers. -
Thank you Retro, I always enjoy and learn from our many Messianic Jews that post here. So whether I agree with you 100% or not, I consider your contribution valuable and will continue to study it. Others have also mentioned that they think the first 3.5 years was during the ministry of Christ. I need to study this more. Blessings, and a joyous Sukkot! Willa

By the way, Jesus did claim to be the God of Abe, Isaac and Jacob.. John 8:58 Jesus said to them "Most assuredly I say to you, Before Abraham was, I AM." 59. Then they took up stones to stone Him. Exodus 3:14b Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, "I AM has sent me to you". 15b Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, has sent me to you. This is my name forever, and this will be My memorial to all generations. I AM means He just is and has no beginning or end. He is the Eternal God. That was such a shocking thing for Jesus to say that the Jews took up stones to stone Him to death for blasphemy because he was claiming to be God. Remember that they are one God in 3 persons. I think Jesus is Jehovah YHWH. The angel said to Joseph in Matt 1:21, And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for he shall save His people from their sins". 23. Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His Name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us". Jesus is God with us. Now the Holy Spirit is God with us. Neither one is Father God but all three are one God.

God. Father Son and Holy Spirit, ONE GOD in three persons. It's hard to understand because He created us and no one can comprehend Him fully. John 1:1-3, 14 In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and the Word was with God (Father) and the Word (Jesus) WAS God. He was in the beginning with God (Father). All things were made through Him and without Him nothing was made. 14. And the Word (Jesus) became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as the only begotten o the Father, full of grace and truth. Jesus came to glorify the Father and reveal His nature to us humans. Both were involved in creating the universe, as was the Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:2b And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Colossians 1:14-17 In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. 15. He is the image of the invisible God (Father), the firstBORN OVER all creation. 16. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible-- Phil. 2:8b Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery (a thing to be held onto) to be EQUAL with God (the Father) but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservent, and coming in the likeness of men. John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever--17 the Spirit of Truth---; but you know Him for he dwells with you and will be in you. John 16:7b It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper wil not come to you; and when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement. God the Holy Spirit has already come to convict you of sin, righteousness and judgement. That is good. It just doesn't feel so good. But He wants to be your best friend and help you to stay out of trouble. Someday you will be thankful. Acts 1:4b He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait or the Promise of the Father, which you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you whall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me--. God gives us the power of the Holy Spirit to do His will. It is He who desires to live in us, to allow the person of Jesus to be seen in us as we are motivated to do the things Jesus wants to do through us. We can't obey God in our own nature and strength. God gives us a new nature that wants to obey God and then gives us the power to do it when we rely on Him. It is hard at first to learn how to allow God to do the changing in us. Many of us get caught up in trying to please God in our own strength and end up falling on our faces and exhausted. Somehow we eventually learn that it is while we were yet sinners that Christ died for us and we don't have to earn His love. He already loves us. He is in the business of changing us to look more like Jesus. I am sorry you are having such a struggle. I just look for shows that would be more pleasing to God. Some are cop shows and some are oldies like Abbot and Costello movies. But most are G, PG or PG-13. The parental controls on our TV are set to those standards for myself so I don't end up watching stuff that is offensive to me. Then I still eliminate others that are occult or weird. But I listen to the Holy Spirit Who takes away the peace in my heart when I shouldn't be watching something. He is my Friend and my Guide Who helps me through this maze called life. There are so many incurable diseases spread by being promiscuous. I have good Christian friends dying from hepititus C due to falling into this sin just once. So stay cellibate and continue to stay out of situations that may cause you temptations. You know already what is pleasing to God. Blessings, Willa The fear of the Lord is the BEGINNING of wisdom; a good understanding have they that keep His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psm 111:10 NKJV

What was done to the building was vandalism. Every church I have been in has gone through splits. In one the pastor was mishandling funds. The book keeping system was supposed to have been repaired to prevent this but he continued to do so in coming years. His sermons also became confusing and his bible references meaningless. In another the associate pastor of counseling decided to start his own church and one quarter of the congregation followed him. This church has recovered but is becomming less Christ centered. In one small church they split over the color of the new carpet!!!!! In another church the song leader was dismissed for breaking into the personal information files of the membership and gave no reson or apology.. Many left after that because the quality of the worship team had so diminished. Perhaps the people who left had been dissatisfied for some time for personal reasons, and the problem that arose gave them the boost they needed to leave. Some people go from church to church when they hear of another with more excitement. Some leave when a church grows because they like a small church. Others look for a church with a strong program for teens. The reason that people leave are many and varied. We experienced many people leaving when he got to a portion of scripture that dealt with eternal security; first many left when the scriptures were pro, and then some left when the scriptures were more cautious, telling them to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling and produceing fruit of repentance should follow salvation.. Since we have seen this same controversy here it is understandable. But now he has been preaching on end times, which also has a lot of people here polarized. He doesn't avoid hard scripture. But we, myself included, as members need to be open to hear views that differ from our own. On the other hand, we should leave if the teaching becomes so unblibical that it departs from all known truth of basic fundamentals of faith. I left a church because it denied the Trinity and that Christ was God in human flesh.

Is there a mental block..... when it comes to this.?
Willa replied to OakWood's topic in General Discussion
If someone were to say they hate Christianity I might take it personally because I identify with Christ. So muslims may also take it personally if you were to say you hate their faith. Most gay people would also be offended in the same way because most of them identify with their sin these days and claim to be proud of it. People who aren't muslim or gay may have friends who are and take up their offence. Personally, I hate the sins but not the sinner as well. And I consider many of the beliefs in the koran to be sinful, as well as the tenents of satanism. However, many muslims consider our beliiefs to be sinful as well, such as exposing my face or legs, or wearing womens jeans, or worshipping God in Trinity. So never the twain shall meet in most cases, which will not prevent me from befriending muslims or gay people. It is their ideology that prevent them from coming to God that I hate. In the case of sin, God may use that very sin to bring them to Christ. But as One Light said, political correctness is a whole lot of it. But those very people are some of the most bigoted toward evangelical Christians I have encountered. -
2 Cor 8:2 For in great trial and affliction the abundance of their JOY and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality. 3. For I bear witness that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing., 5b but they FIRST GAVE THEMSELVES TO THE LORD, AND THEN TO US. by the will of God. V.12 For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what he has, not according to what he does not have. But I do not mean that others should be eased and you be burdened, but by an equality that now at this time your abundance may supply their lack. They gave out of the joy they found in Christ. Perhaps they had more compassion on those in need due to their own need. So they begged Paul to receive their gifts to the Jeruselem church. But giving should not be such that it causes hardship. Give yourself first to God, then bring your gift to God. Pay your bills before giving to the poor. We can do without some luxeries to help out others. It is a matter of letting God set out priorities after putting Him first in out Lives and giving ouselves to Him. Matt 6:1 Take heed that you do not do your charitable deed before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 3. But when you do a cheritable deed do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4.that your cheritible deed may be in secret. 19. Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and dust destroy and where theives break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven. 21 for where your treasures are there your heart will be also. NKJV Our pastor has never made known his own need, the needs of the church, or even asked for money for our building projects. He waits on God to provide their needs. He even avoids preaching on giving unless it is part of the book he is preaching through. He has allowed fund raisers for our school that we support, for our missionaries and the poor they minister to, and for the local pregnancy center which discourages abortion; those from our church who go on short term missions also can advertise car washes and like fund raisers.. Paul supported himself largely by being a tent maker. Church planters need to supplement their incomes until the church grows large enough that it demands full time attention, more pastors and staff. Some denominations are rich and pay the pastor irregardless. The majority are not wealthy and the majority of pastors are not wealthy. We still have people share from their gardens and fruit with the pastor, and who provide the same to the poor in the church by leaving baskets of fresh food by the church doorway. Others give of their time working in the church as unpaid staff, or in personal evangelism, in chaplaincy, visiting the sick or dying, visiting prisons or nursing homes and other unpaid personal ministries. These forms of service also count as giving.

Acts 15:16-17 After this I will return and rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins and set it up; So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the gentiles that are called by My Name, Says the Lord Who does all things. NKJV I also believe that Jesus' 2nd coming is spoken of here.. I also firmly believe that you confuse the 2nd coming with our being caught up to meet Him which occurs prior to His coming again. Otherwise we would not be able to return with him. We are repeatedly told that we are not destined for wrath. Rev 7:9, NKJV after the sealing of the 144,000 Jews: After these things I looked, and behold a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples and tingues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands.. 14. These are the ones who come out of great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. So if we do go through the great trib, we do not go through the wrath which follows in chapter 8.

The message in tongues and interpretation is directed toward God. It is praise and adoration, thanksgiving etc. The message of prophecy is from the heart of God to the people to encourage and admonish the church. It may also be contained in the pastor's sermon. 1 Cor 14:2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. 16 Otherwise if you BLESS with the Spirit, how will he who occupies the place of the uninformed say Amen at your GIVING OF THANKS-- 3. But He who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.

Blessings to our neighbors to the north. I pray that hearts might be hungry for the Living God in your beautiful nation. We have always loved to visit your nation during the summer as so many there visit ours during the winter. So we as well are thankful for you all and for Canada.

I used to know a guy who thought that way. God didn't give him a wife till he was in his 40s. A computer expert, changed careers and became fluent in Chinese by continuing his education in China. Then he went to work for Wycliffe Bible translators. The last word I heard was that he was married. If your heart still desires marriage God may be teaching you to wait patiently on Him, learning to be content with whatever state you are in. Blessings, Willa

Verse 2 of 1 peter 3 the word conversation has changed in meaning to conduct. Manner of life. So that he may be won without a word. The first time I heard this passage I said, "Me, gentle and quiet? You've got to be kidding! But God had to change me before he could change my husband. He had to teach me obedience to God's voice to quit talking when He told me to by taking my peace from me. I had to learn to keep my mouth shut, believing I had to get out of the way of God working in his life. He changed my attitudes so I was able to accept the changes--- a new creation in my hubby. So I prayed day and night, through tears, trusting that wherever he ran or turned he would run into God. And so it happened. Every person where he worked was replaced by a Christian. His boss's pastor would drop in and visit with him. So he took an outside wholesale sales position and was out of town several day a week. He found that many of his clients were Christians who would witness to him. He came home one day shaking his head claiming that he was out numbered. It still took a couple of years before he went off by himself and asked God to help him and come into his life. Yes it is hard to go alone. But my heart was always at church on Sunday mornings whether I was there or not. He was no longer preventing me from attending as much as in the first years of our marriage. Finally, because he had always found fault with the churches I attended, I asked him to choose one and I would go with him. We attended his boss' church for 6 months till he was saved. After he was saved he took me back to the church God had led me to. But it was 11 hard years before he was saved. Now he is my prayer partner. Hubby thought in terms of numbers. We have several believers on our forum who are math inclined---engineers, scientists in math and physics and so on. I have known others who were geneticists in research fields. It is hard for some of them them to overcome relying on their own logic rather than relying on the Living God. For some it remains a struggle. It is a death to self. Your husband has the advantage of knowing some Scripture. Pray that it gets from his head into his heart and that God would contine to soften his heart, open his eyes and his ears. God is in the soul winning business. We just have to not be a hinderance, get out of His way and trust that he is working. Praying. God is faithful. Willa

I agree with you brother...... Rapture Doctrine invented by John Darby in 1830 AD - prior to this no one and I mean NO ONE ever spoke of a pre-tribulation. This is one area from many that Christians LOVE to argue about. This interpretation of scripture is first recorded by one of the early church pastors from the near east. It was prior to the year 400, I believe. Will have to find it again.. Apocalypse of Pseudo-Ephraem - Wikipedia, the free ...Ephraem The Syrian - Koinonia House

I have never had a dream from God. They have always been a frustrating confusing mess of things seen and thought. Often they were from childhood and involved friends. The last one was about trying to find teen aged friends when seperated from them at a fair. Others were about playing hide and seek as a kid. Visions were sometimes directed to us personally and not meant for the church. Once I saw us worshipping in a common gymnasium while others in the church imagined a new church that would be a beacon for all to see and come to. A few months later our family moved to a small church that was constructing a new adjacent sanctuary. When we moved into it we found basket ball hoops hanging at each end. It was a genuine gym. When we moved to another church it also eventually built a gym that doubled as a sanctuary. The chairs are removed during the week so that the school can use it for recess activities during the winter. But these types of things are not common to me. Maybe it is because I am not a man. lol And yes, our dogs do dream. Their eyes move, their feet move, and their cheeks puff as they attempt to bark in their sleep. They may be dreaming about chasing cats, squirrills or balls. Who knows.

I heartily agree, OakWood and OldSchool. Even Peter agreed with Paul's teaching in his own book, even though he said that some, probably new converts, don't understand them well. Paul also presented his teaching to the apostles in Jeruselem to make sure they were all on the same page. Paul's teaching's were endorsed by the universal church at that time. 2 Peter 15:b-16 --as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of Scriptures. The fact that the writer in Huff n Puff identifies himself as an evangelical and then tears apart the veracity of Scripture is an affront to all genuine evangelicals who love God's Word. He gives reason for others to doubt his salvation since he does not display by his words any enlightenment by the Holy Spirit. Moreover, all who understand Scripture with the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit know that his accusations are easily seen as misinterpretations by someone who has no understanding or spiritual discernment. When properly understood there is no conflict at all in what he has discribed. His statements become ludicrous. John 16:12-14 I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will gloriy Me, for He wll take of what is Mine and declare it to you." NKJV These are the words of Jesus later echoed by Paul. All Scripture is given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit--God breathed.

V. 4 Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born again? è In context, water is referring to the amniotic fluid. Thank you Persuaded. I am a firm believer in believers' baptism. In all cases the context refers to believe and be baptized, not the reverse. But I don't believe in it being sacremental as in causing a magical rebirth to an unbelieving infant. Neither do I believe that, having repented and believed, Christians that had been only baptized as infants are not going to heaven. The question is, did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? Acts 19:2. I have encountered teens in evangelical churches who have never heard of a need for repentance. They had asked Jesus into their hearts and had been baptized but claimed they had no need of repentace because they had NEVER done anything wrong. This indicated to me that the Holy Spirit had not convicted them of sin, righteousness and judgement. Things got very quiet when I asked if they had ever lied or stolen anything, or had not been respectful to their parents. In other churches people had been immersed to join a church but had never repented or truly trusted in Christ as Savior and Lord in spite of giving the lip service. No genuine repentance or trust. Perhaps this is why Jesus told Nic that the Holy Spirit is like the wind. You can see the effects or even hear it but you don't know where it has gone and where it came from. He can not be reduced to a formula. He is God. Sorry. Don't mean to offend. I am just very concerned about the state of the churches today and how they may have got to where they are. Blessings, Willa

Democracy vs the Kingdom of God - Two opposing Systems
Willa replied to Angela888's topic in General Discussion
Remember that there are those who would transform our government into a state where sharia law is kept like a rod of iron, and where a caliph is in charge. They believe that this would be God's kingdom. Jesus said that His kingdom is not of this world. The Kingdom of God is within us. While we march to a different Drummer than the world, and we need to be making disciples to spread His Kingdom, we are told that conditions will become worse and worse for us here. I believe that you are saying we should continue to make disciples and spread the Gospel of Grace in spite of this, knowing that the time is short. There is a growing urgency in my heart as well. So I also labor in prayer. The true believers hear His Voice and follow the Good Shepherd. Those christians who do no follow Him either belong to the evil one or they have not yet learned to hear His voice. Even Samuel had to learn to recognize God's voice. That is why it is important to make disciples. One of the best places for this to occur is in small group bible studies. And one of the best tools I have seen used for this is put out by Campus Crusade (CRU). 6 Keys to Christian Growth is very good as is the Ten Basic Steps toward Christian Maturiaty. The Spirit Filled Life is also excellent for helping people to realize there is more to the Christian life than being a church memeber. Perhaps others can recommend good discipling tools as well. -
I have to agree with Jade. The stuff of his that I read was so vague it was worse than a fortune cookie. It was written so mysticly it was hard to make anything of it in the first place. You had to use your imagination to think what he said meant the things some people say. It just wasn't that specific. When there are prophecies in the Bible God names names, places, even times in some prophecy. Then when they come true exactly as written people who don't want to believe claim it had to have been written after the events to be so exact. But the same people who don't want to believe God will claim that Nostradamus was a prophet. What a joke.

When our son was around 8 he jumped off a ladder while he was playing. We had left the boys with a sitter and no one mentioned an incident, but the next day he could not walk on one foot. After taking him to a family doctor, and orthopedic specialist, a podiatrist, we still had no answers. Several weeks later we learned about the ladder. 6 months later he still cried himself to sleep at night from foot pain. I interceded for him for months, we prayed and asked God to heal him. Finally God answered me. I was asking Jesus to touch our son as He had touched people when here on earth. Jesus answered me in my heart, telling me to ask Father God. I felt suddenly like I was before the throne of God with His focus on me. He seemed to be asking my request. I thought of so many things. My own foot had been in a lot of pain since I had crushed it in an auto accident some years before. I thought of it but again thought of our son's foot hurting like that. So I asked our Father to touch and heal our son's foot. God answered me "That is how much I also want to touch your foot, my child." Our son still remembers that God healed his foot a few weeks later when a missionary we knew had laid hands on him and prayed for him. My own foot no longer hurts except after standing for any time. But that is one time that I can remember being before the Father in prayer, in what seemed like having a personal audience on an experiential level. There are many times that God's Presence is felt--probably that of the Holy Spirit with and within. Jesus is alive in His Word as His Spirit speaks to us and enlightens the scriptures to us. But I never seek experiences nor do I recommend that others do so. I seek God's face, His kingdom and His righteousness. He inhabits the praises of His people as well when we worship in Spirit and in truth. So "Enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His Name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psm 100 4-5 NKJV

I agree that it may be a way to explain heaven to pre school children. I remember the childs prayer I was taught. If I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. When my parents explained the meaning to me I was terrified at the thought of being taken from them. It made me afraid to go to sleep. So I never taught our kids that prayer. Telling a small child that heaven will be fun and nothing scarey or sad will be there, and no getting hurt or crying, but just happiness, would be much preferable. Being in the presence of our Creator does not bring the word fun to mind. Security, overwhelming joy, splendor, a euphoria of worship, possibly being enlightened, full of life, truth and light are ways I think of it being discribed. Fun is focused on self and entertainment. Heaven will be focused on the Godhead. Willa

Malachi 2:13-16 NKJV And this is the second thing that you do: you cover the alter of the Lord with tears, with weeping and crying; So He does not regard the offering anymore, nor receive it with goodwill from your hands. Yet you say, For what reason? BECAUSE THE LORD HAS BEEN A WITNESS BETWEEN YOU AND THE WIFE OF YOUR YOUTH, WITH WHOM YOU HAVE DEALT TREACHEROUSLY; YET SHE IS YOUR COMPANION AND YOUR WIFE BY COVENANT. BUT DID HE NOT MAKE THEM ONE, HAVING A REMNANT OF THE SPIRIT: AND WHY ONE? HE SEEKS GODLY OFFSPRING. THEREFORE, TAKE HEED TO YOUR SPIRIT, and LET NONE DEAL TREACHEROUSLY WITH THE WIFE OF HIS YOUTH. For the Lord God of Israel says THAT HE HATES DIVORSE, for it covers ones garment with violence, says the Lord of Hosts. Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously." Divorse would only compound your sin. It never solves anything when children are involved. My dad's full time job was to pick up the broken pieces of the lives of children who were the innocent victims of divorce.. He was a social worker and was not a religious man, but he hated divorse because of what it does to kids. They need a stable, loving home environment. You need to put your sin behind you and become a godly example to your kids. Become the reflection of God the Father to them. You can still be that to them and build a godly marriage. Blessings, Willa

Proverbs 2, God's word says: When wisdom enters your heart and knowledge is pleasent to your soul, discretion will preserve you; Understanding will keep you to deliver you from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things, from those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness; TO DELIVER YOU FROM THE IMMORAL WOMAN, FROM THE SEDUCTRESS WHO FLATTERS YOU WITH HER WORDS, WHO FORSAKES THE COMPANION OF HER YOUTH, AND FORGETS THE COVENANT WITH HER GOD. FOR HER HOUSE LEADS DOWN TO DEATH, AND HER PATHS TO THE DEAD; none who go to her return, nor do they regain the paths of life----.Proverbs 2:10-13, 16-19 NKJV Your marriage covenant is with your wife. God hates divorse. You need to work at rebuilding a good relationship with her. Love is about committment and you choose to love. It is a choice. Feelings and romance are what YOU make of it. Choose to pursue your wife like you did before you were married. If your church has marriage seminars, go to them. If not, interdenominational ones are held as well. Marriage retreats are excellent. If your church doesn't have them, find an evangelical church that does have them and go the theirs. Make the time to go to them. Marriages are not self made. You have to make an effort to keep the flame alive. Stoke the fire with your wife. YOU make it fun again. You will have to prove to your wife that she can trust you again as well, and that may take years. Trust is earned, but it can be done. It all depends on you. My husband has worked at our marriage to make it really good. The first 11 years before he was saved were horrible. But the last 40 years have got better with each year. It is 90% giving from both partners. You wife's time is also very divided due to family. When kids are young she has to give them more time, and you may have felt neglected. This is normal and must be endured, but as they get into grade school she must learn to get better acquainted with you again and make that a priority in spite of how busy your lives get. Our sons have date nights with their wives and take them out to a romantic dinner once or twice a month. Our older son also has a special day each month with each of the 3 kids plus is a big brother to a foster kid. But he makes each one feel special with one on one time. Lead in praying out loud with your wife every day. Make her your prayer partner and best friend. Pray for her, the needs of the kids and extended family as well as friends. The family that prays together, stays together, is more truth than you will ever realize. It is good that the girlfriend wants you to have nothing to do with her or the baby if you do not divorse your wife. Get it in writing! You need to make a clean break with her. She is an adultrous. It is predictible that if she had an affair with you, she will find someone else to have an affair with should she marry you. Furthermore, she is manipulative. I am praying that God will open your eyes. After all you did ask------

I can't concisely say it any better than giggles and one light. It is not obeying a set of rules. God first loved us and gave His only Son to die in our place, taking our punishment that we deserved. The expression of our gratitude is our LOVING God, Father Son & Holy Spirit, so much that our lives revolve around Him. This is the beginning of our relationship with God. As we learn to listen to God and follow Him, we pray, fellowship with Him and learn more of His personality in the Bible.. Likewise we love our neighbors as an expression of our gratitude for what God has done for us. It just overflows to those around us. It is spiritual in that God is Spirit and we must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. We trust that God raised Christ from the dead. It is a no brainer that if He is both Lord and God over death, and Creator of the universe, that we should acknowledge Him as ruler of our own lives. Somewhere in the midst of all this He gives us the Holy Spirit as a seal and a down payment or pledge--the earnest of our inheritace in Him. It is not spiritual in the sense of being mystical, such as what the world thinks of spiritual. It is not hidden. Being a Christian is very practical stuff. It is a way of life in which we draw upon the power and love of God to live the Christian life.

I have to agree that the lack of respect for one another eats at me as well as the lack of morals. It goes down with Golden Girls, Hot in Cleveland and Rozanne as shows that rub me wrong; they should be R rated in my book, as well as roasts. Considering bashing a comedy is just wrong also. Life and death are in the tongue. We can use our tongues for respect, praise and encouragement or to destroy. Just give me an Abbot and Costello movie to laugh at.
