I was planning to fry you first unless you eat ants.

Some of the older hymns were written a little like plain songs. They don't pause like they are written now. A mighty fortress is our God a bulwark never changing" doesn't have a pause after God. Many Lutheran churches still sing it that way but most others don't. Praise to the Lord the Almighty King of Creation" also is often sung without the commas or pauses. Greensleeves or What Child is this is sung both ways. Be Thou my vision is another old one that I love. O come O come Emmanuel and ransom captive Israel is sung without the comma as well. It reminds me of the final words of the Revelation. Come quickly Lord Jesus. All Creatures of our God and King was written by St. Francis of Assisi in the 12th century! I love many of these ancient hymns. They have not only withstood the test of time, but the lyrics are very full of worship and praise of our God. There is something of Scripture in them that causes my heart to sing. There are many others, old and new, that are on my list of favorites like folk music and spirituals, or glimpses of heaven like Isaiah 6.

I have also thought of that.

daddy long legs have a deadly venomous bite but their mouths are so small about all they can bite is an aphid

My friend takes close up photos of "lovely" flies. The Lord of the Flies Beelzebub is also very beautiful.

The West Bank and the heights are very strategic. They were won in the 67 battle as I barely remember. Israel has not taken land but when they were attacked and beet back the aggressors. This was a battle won by God as the Jews were out numbered and attacked from the north and the south. Correct me if I am wrong.

Overly friendly and they are back on my back step. I tolerate them outside. It's when they swarm my night stand, get into my glass of water that I reach for in the night, and from there get into my bed and climb all over me! I don't want to eat or drink them or want them climbing all over me at night. NO NO NO!

Morrison died and was buried in France. I am a fan of the witty Christian pop vocalist Steve Taylor who wrote about the lost souls that worship at Morrison's grave. It is on "I Predict 1990" album, so I am sure Morrison died prior to that.

Both my mother in law and my daughter in law's mother have done this and for the same reason. Both grandmothers lost their spouse and the new baby grandchild helped to fill the void in their lives. On the other hand, they were also born to favorite children who were firstborn girls. My husband favored his first son, but it was a personality thing. They enjoyed doing the same things and father and son bonded working together. I made a real effort to find things in common with younger son and he excelled in jazz band. I remain very close to both sons and respect and enjoy them. We all are also strong Christians. God also had favorites. He said Jacob I have loved and Esau I hated. We are pretty much told that He doesn't answer to us and He doesn't have to give us a reason. Jacob was a conniver, a supplanter. Esau didn't treasure his inheritance and sold it for a bowl of cereal. How much do we value our heavenly inheritance?

One of my favorite Beatles songs is Yesterday.

I was just posting a silly ant song. I am also a save the dams person. Our cities would be destroyed by floods if we removed the dams. Moreover, whenever they lower the water it leaves shallow pools and puddles for thousands of fish to cook in and die. Talk about a stinking mess. People who vote for such travesty should be held personally responsible for the cost of damages done by their act. At least that is what I told my congressman. NOW Back to the subject of ants.

I so agree with missmuffy. At one time I was so concerned with how to pray I became legalistic. So I had to go back to square one and just pour out my heart to Him like a pre school kid jumping up on Daddy God's lap and overflowing with all the little thing and big, knowing that Daddy can fix it all. He is my refuge, and my Daddy is bigger than the world's.

Our liberal governor is starting to allow some businesses to open up. Meanwhile you should see the wild hair cuts my family are giving to each other. lol. They are going back to butches because they made so many gouges and divots.. They still dare to complain about the ones I gave them when they were kids. They also fired me and won't let me touch their kids. lol . I can't even get my dogs hair cuts. Maybe the governor needs a haircut as well. By the way, I still can't buy toilet paper! My family is traveling 150 miles to buy toilet paper!

Do you study biblical Hebrew & Greek? Should I?
Willa replied to SuperUser0's topic in General Discussion
I have Strong's concordance, Vincint's Word Studies, Wuest word studies, KJV with strong's numbering, Word Study Dictionary by Spiros Zodihates, Robertson's Word Pictures, Barnes notes, Preachers Homiletical, Jamison Faucet & Brown, various literal translations. English Standard Version does an excellent job of translation ongoing verb tenses. I also like AMP, NKJV and compare with NASV. I took one quarter of Greek but got sick and had to quit. Taking a couple of quarters would help you to realize why it is best left to the experts. Hebrew is a whole different world. They think differently, using a lot of metaphors like Jesus did. It is also much harder to pronounce the words which are often quite guttural. I did my best to repeat the Seder. Mikey says let George do it. lol Hebrew is his second language since he lives in Israel. -
According to the CDC, people with COVID-19 can have a wide range of symptoms — ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19: Cough Muscle pain Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing Sore throat Fever New loss of taste or smell Chills This list is not all inclusive. Other less common symptoms have been reported, including nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. The danger of this virus is that they have found people can be asymptomatic for up to 28 days and be a carrier. That is what the masks are for--to keep them from spreading it. The first thing they are doing now beside requiring masks is to take our temperature before we enter a building. This is doctors and optometrists. Groceries and restaurants are take out. This is being very wise. My MD says it will probably come back this fall with a vengeance like influenza does. It probably will mutate like the common cold or flu, making it hard to create vaccinations.. Those that create some immunity can't trust that because of mutations. It is still pretty much an unknown. With aides, I heard a speaker in in 1985 who had done research on aides virus in horses for 20 years before it appeared in humans.. He tried to tell the govt. what he had discovered about the nature of it and how they would be able to stop it. These are the very things that have controlled it now. It takes many years to learn the nature of a virus and how to control it, let alone to make an effective vaccine. On Mothers Day extended family were giving me hugs. I wanted to yell, if you really love me you would move away from me. Much fewer people die from this in the 15 to 50 age group than in people over 70 with severe lung disease, heart disease, asthma, diabetes, etc. True love does not endanger these people but protects them. I have 4 of those symptoms plus muscle ache from fibromyalgia. The only things I don't have is fever.

Did they test positive for covid 19?. If not they probably had the flu and the sniffles.

Not often, that is why they make the newspapers and are called heroes. Yet when interviewed they say it is what anyone would do, to rescue even a stranger let alone a friend, with no thought for their own life. Often it is mentioned that a rescuer did die in his attempt so rescue someone else. Yet that is what Jesus did for the whole world. It is even harder to send our children into danger knowing they will die there. But there is some consolation knowing they did it to glorify God. So many lives are wasted by driving drunk or overdosing. How many movie stars have taken their own lives? Isn't it much better to die glorifying God?

Greater love has no man than this: that he lay down his life for his friends.

What do you think of poltergeists?
Willa replied to Frank Goad's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
The occult is sin and will come between you and God. That is opposite of what you claim is the reason you got into it. -

This is one of the most worthwhile movies I have seen and best illustrates my understanding of evolution within species. It is not godless at all. I hope many of you who are not bigoted but desire to learn more truth will watch it. It is quite long. Thank you OO and Angels.
