Why would the Lord hide something that was meant to be known behind so many years of study ? Sometimes people take what is obvious, that America in recent history has been afforded opportunities, power and wealth that are the envy of many nations and perhaps has sqaundered them this is no secret, i don't have to study any meanings of words to understand that. But if you enjoy the study then that's fine power to your study time. Andy

Good question Are we meant to be here physically. ? of course we are, otherwise why would God have put us here in the first place. Honest answer is 'I really don't know' the scriptures do not say.

What a very very strange Bible ..when it says 'Christian Organisations' who exactly does that mean ? I know this is a very short article, might do a bit of research on this one, one thing you can be certain of no Islamic organisation would make a Koran more Christian friendly, not in a million years. I don't understand the whole 'It's unfair'' thing.. we were lost with the Lord, we would have always been without Him, living this life without Him and then eternity without Him. What is 'unfair' about the Lord wanting you not to perish, but have eternal life ? What is 'unfair' about the Lord wanting to heal you, lift you up and cleanse you? What is 'unfair' about the Lord offering you eternal life, free from pain suffering and sin? What is 'unfair' about the Lord suffering in agony, becoming sin so that we might live ? I really don't get this 'unfair' thing

I hope he pawsed furr though before he called, most people would just call in a whisker because they didn't have a claws in their cat contract that allowed this to happen.

Chip and Pin Had them ages in the UK, a safer way of doing transactions, instead of a signature on the card (which can be forged) they require a pin number that only you know. So if your card is stolen it cannot be used, but only really fully effective when all retailers are using the same system. Andy

Title of the website aside, which has already been explained to you. Worthy.. no we are not worthy in the sense that we can walk up to the throne of God and say 'I deserve heaven, your attention and salvation' But are we worth something.. you bet we are, so much so that not only did Christ die for us, but he wants us the church as his bride !! So while I cannot claim of my own accord any favours from the Lord, I stand with me head held high, a son of the living God, knowing I am loved and valued beyond comparison, and more than words could ever say. I know I am of great worth, as is every single one of my Brothers and Sisters in the Lord. AIP

It shows a simple lack of understand of the relationship with Jesus absolute ignorance. Christianity never was a faith as such, a set of beliefs it was always about the Holy Spirit living in our hearts. If you view Christianity as simply 'another' faith then yes it makes sense, but to the believer the lover of the Lord, makes no sense at all. Andy

Sad news, I hope the bakery wins its case. this is not a case of law its a case of conscience and should be left as such. Has there ever been any test cases the other way ie: an non believing business refusing to serve a item with Christian content ? Andy

Tristen & Bonky This is a great discussion here for what it's worth I'm enjoying it. @ Bonky on the theist side I too enjoy Craig and John Lennox though not a philosopher as such he does present things in a more down to earth manner I enjoy. On the atheist side I have always enjoyed Harris, Hitchens, and Dennett. I have also enjoyed some of Dawkins writings and enjoyed watching him on T.V. when I was younger when he's talking science, though he is on my level as a philosopher (a lay man). I'm looking forward to seeing if there are any new developments in this debate, and thank you both for the time you have taken to think about your answers, instead of just taking pot-shots at each other. It also helps me develop responses when asked about my faith and to discard some nonsense too. Andy
