  1. fasting

If none of you have fasted it's highly recoomended! I have done many fasts as short as 16 hours, 20 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, up to about 10 days! I want to do a really long fast as well, if my body allows it
  2. The Seven Seals

I believe the seals are opened during the great tribulation.. which spans 3 1/2 years, then the bowls are poured out.. which spans another 3 1/2 years
  3. why marry?

I sort of regret having sex last January now. But Jesus took even those sins. I had a relationship that was very sexual outside of marriage but shes my ex now
  4. I have a few of them my self. A Christian is a saint not a sinner. A Christian is sinless because: 1) they have repented of their sin 2) they believe in Jesus work A Christian believes in the water, blood, Spirit Then you have the typical stuff Jesus is God Resurrected etc
  5. Disciplined life.

I don't really like schedules but I will make a to-do list. My goal is to do all or most of these. I will put them in order of importance to me and work my way down. I think discipline is just sticking to your guns' you know? Do your best to do what you have to do. Remember your love for God in everything you do. Tell your self "im not going to do that, I love god more" if it refers to living a self controlled life. Anyways peace and love
  6. Covet

That seems about right to me
  7. That seems silly but people will do anything to disprove the bible
  8. When it seems right, but it's wrong

Declawing can be likened to cutting off a knuckle of all your fingers. I would try to just get the cat a scratching post. Use covers on some things etc.
  9. Nehemiah 9:6

I always figured host meant kings or something like that
  10. Tongue

Haha I was just thinking if anyone wanted to add to it. I like to share notes
  11. Tongue

Jesus said "But the words you speak come from the heart--that's what defiles you." James said "If any man thinketh himself to be religious, while he bridleth not his tongue but deceiveth his heart, this man's religion is vain." He continued "Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." What do you think?
  12. Breaking bottles

I always considered the teaching referring to being born again. The wine being the holy spirit and the wineskin the heart of man. You cannot put his spirit into a heart filled with sin. But a repentant heart circumcised by faith in Jesus Christ who can by his water and blood in otherwords sinless can have the dwelling of the Holy Spirit. As God is hallowed he cannot dwell where sin is. It is part of His character.
  13. Repentance Definition?

I think one should feel guilty - because we are. If we don't believe we are worthless, wretched sinners - with nothing to offer - we won't feel the need for a savior. It's like Ray Comfort once said: People who don't believe they are sick, will never seek a doctor. Difference in beliefs at that point then. I believe we become sinless once we believe in the Lord. 1 John 1:7-10 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. KJV Then how do you deal with this statement in John's writings? Love, Steven by following what it says 'confessing your sins and be cleansed from all unrigteousness' in the same book it defines what unrighteousness, if you will. 1 john 5:17 "All unrighteousness is sin"
  14. How does Christ's death atone?

You need to read the old testament to undertand the new. Jesus sacrifice was part of the atonement according to the sacrificial law set up through Moses. As another said, Jesus is the scapegoat. Leviticus 16 shows that Aaron sacrifices a goat for him and his household first. He then sacrifices another for all of Israel. But he then puts all of Israels sin onto the scapegoat and sends it away into the wilderness. Often if you read those old Jewish books you would see people tying a red cord around the goats horn. When it turned white the nation would realize God forgave them of their sin. At times, it did not change. And it stopped changing after Jesus came. Aaron was the one who did this, and if you read Luke 1:5, John the Baptist is a descendant of Aaron. Jesus himself said John was "elijah to come" and "john the greatest man born from women", the prophecies of John show him making Jesus paths straight. Read it side by side, You see Jesus being baptized by John in the Jordan then John confessing Jesus took away the worlds sin. Jesus goes into the wilderness. All sin requires blood and without blood there is no forgiveness and that is why he was crucified. When you pray for forgiveness for example I believe it is a false doctrine. Example, these people were neither water baptized nor were they praying but they believed Acts 10:43-47. Faith is what forgives but people put too much emphasis on the prayer. You pray to God confessing your sin, but believing in the sacrifice. You confess your sin with a repentant heart, believing Jesus took away the worlds sin (his baptism, water) crucified all sin once and for all through his death (blood) and you will get the holy spirit. 1 John 5:6 This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. 1 John 5:8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. I hope you know then, the scapegoat was used to pay for the whole nation of Israel. But Jesus came, and he paid for the whole world. But to claim such a gift you have to repent firstly then believe
