  1. Thank you for bring up your post topic, with biblical references, But the above quote does not confirm the earth is a round ball sphere . It mention "circle" and "face". That could also be interpreted like a round plate surface. If the plate has a face it has a different side and back to it. Just saying... Having now listened to many different arguments for round earth verses flat earth I am not 1oo-% convinced one particular way than the other as both flat earth and round earth theories have their logic, physics and mathematics to support their claim. And that BTW does not make me stupid, it makes me open to see ALL facts available, tried and tested before coming to one specific conclusion in either direction. There is a Christian by the name of Bill Schnoebellen who actually gives bible verses that support the flat earth theory. You can check out the verses bill Schnoebellen gives from the bible. I personally don't know anymore what to believe, because the more I hear from what the government s are doing, and worldly propaganda being thrown around, it leaves me questioning things. The possibility of a flat faced earth does not seem impossible. The bible does say over the earth , the firmaments, there is a dome. Anyhow... that's all I will say about it. But for sure I agree with you that the Holy Bible reveals so much and that only confirms in the beginning was the WORD and the WORD became flesh John ch1 Also I just found another you tube vedio: christian preacher Dean Odle: "the bible does say flat earth" by pastor Dean Odle 1 Samuel 2:8 "For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's and on them He has set the world." Another you tube interview bringing into suspect NASA: Look and google for: " We did'nt land on the Moon. Former NASA scientist admits Game over for NASA
  2. Ummmm sorry for going off topic. Even in something counterfeit to the real thing, there may be found nuggets of truth. That is why we need to be careful, as satans ploy is getting us away from Gods Truth. But to be sure of anything we need to line it up with the word of God and if it does not match than stick with what the Holy bible has to say about it.
  3. Hi preciouspearl; I am of the belief that most MH issues may get manifested in the physical but have their roots -origin -with the spiritual. Not handling resentments properly, holding on to grudges, and keeping resentments. and being effected by violation/ trauma/sin , those can be manifested in how we perceive and react to things. The soul of a person holding-on to resentments, keeping fear alive, needs to find healing.Divine Healing from God Only God through his only begotten Son Christ Jesus, can remove the hurt and replace it with healing love. Medications only mask and keep one asleep, hypnotized and not fully awake. Gods purpose is to WAKE us UP from what sin tries to keep us asleep/unconscious with. the Buddha is the wrong way, your instincts rightly alarmed you to that. God is watching over you, trying to warn you. listen to what His word says over what people say. Some people inadvertently can keep you in bandaged/bondage to the ruse of this world. medicating people with Mi illness is a not a cure, it many times does not even help but makes worse off a person. Please be careful. Pray to God through Christ Jesus to direct your path and lead you in the right direction and if your gut is warning you, listen to these inner warnings, sometimes the Holy Spirit of God is trying to warn you. I believe Gods Holy Spirit was trying to warn you about the Buddha. Any therapist promoting this is also promoting other worldly agendas. Beware and go always to God first in prayer with your concerns. And be careful, even people here on worthy, can be misleading if they are not aligning what they say with the word of God found in the Bible. be careful of people who seem kind and nice who use words like the "spirit" or say something like "I listen to the spirit" without saying the spirit ending the word spirit with God, The Holy Spirit of God . Because we do not only wrestle with flesh but with the spirit world "spirits". we need to use the Sword of the spirit of God found in His Word. look to Ephesians ch 6:10-24 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. 21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: 22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. 23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- We need to use the proper WORDS that align with the Word of God. There is a book called "a more excellent way" by Henry wright, In that book it explains through scripture the roots to illness and the cure through repentance in Christ Jesus. Here you can listen to a you tube video about the book: Also as I was looking for the Henry Right who wrote the book a more excellent way, I just found another you tube video from another Henry right "the curse of unforgivensss" Its in a different style of preaching but it also mentions that we need forgiveness in our hearts. Hi again Precious pearl; People here have been praying for you. Life is not easy all the time, it constantly is giving us challenges. For sure some people are better wired to cope through these life challenges, (again because of many factors like family, upbringing, personality type, genetic wiring...) So the ones who do have more difficulty coping with overcoming these life challenges need to look to find alternative ways to cope to get to the same arrival destination as someone not having these extra struggles. Yes thank goodness there is medical and social help available to help give hope and guide people to find ways to help themselves. But one needs to use Gods discernment in finding the proper help. My only concern is many times I have seen people getting wrongly assessed, diagnosed and being told they need medication when that is not the case. And then many times you see these people who have been diagnosed incorrectly, develop other problems that the medication brings on. It is important to remember and consider seriously before taking any medication, that all medications have side -effects, in some cases they can bring on diabetes, high blood pressure, weight gain that can further keep a person then hooked to medication and into the pharmaceutical loop . Yes some medications can help, but medication if and when needed to be taken, needs to be taken wisely . The majority of people I have met and the stories I have heard for these same people who have been prescribed MI medication have regrets in having ever started on these medications. Because they do not cure, they may mask temporarily and if there is any relief it is only temporary, short term, the struggles keep continuing ( I can say a lot on the subject, because i have seen a lot on the subject of prescription medication) I feel for you precious pearl and certainly am not trying to make it sound like you don't need help. Yes good caring loving guidance for you would be a good thing. But I would caution you to were you go seeking that guidance. Look always fist toward that guidance from God and His Word and ask Him in prayer to guide you and show you the way in the right direction. He will do it God will do it For you to truly experience this, you need to place your Trust in Him. Start with little steps of Trusting in God and His Word to be True and let go of your self will, give your willfulness over to the care of God. That's what He is waiting for, before He is abled to help us. Through each little step of trusting God, God is faithful and will show you that yes you can trust Him. And this in turn just builds and builds our faith in God because then we SEE that YES HE IS who He says He is. Praise God! Hallelujah! But this can only be found when we truly turn to Him and are willing to place our trust in Him. This learning to trust in God i also had to learn myself. It was only when i was willing to fully place my trust in God that He was able to help me. Many times I prevented God from helping , by me shutting him out. I had to find out that if I wanted God to really help me, that I had to just let go and let Him take over and help me. This letting go is a continual process, because we are geared and some of us more strongly than others to take our will back. And when we take our will back, we keep God from being able to help us like He would truly want to help us. Many times we prevent God from helping us, by closing Him off from helping us, through our self will. MH issues have degrees. but they can be managed and even overcome with God as our guide. Christ Jesus said "I did not come for those who are well, I came for those who are sick, go and learn what that means." (found in Matth 9:11-13, Mark 2:17) It means that all of humanity is "sick" to different degrees. But to get better we ALL need Christ Jesus Savior our Savior , healer, redeemer, that God had provide for the WAY to find Him back and be restored into the child of God we were always intended to be. Precious Pearl, just so you know that you are not alone, I have struggled most of my life with sadness, depression, and seeking methods to escape from these that actually led me to even more sadness and depression. But, somehow, I never gave up on God and He never gave up on me. I do know the struggle can be very difficult at times, especially when you think you are all alone with these struggles. You are NOT alone. God your TRUE Father Loves You and is waiting to be able to help you . But He does not push His love on anybody, He awaits for us to call on Him, to begin Trusting in Him, so He can be abled to help us. Gods Word says all are given a measure of faith to place our trust in Him. That is our way back to God and our way of getting closer to God. Without faith in God it is impossible to please Him or connect with Him. (can be found in Hebrews 11:6) From having read a whole lot on MH issues, psychology and other... the only cure that made the most difference to me was turning completely to God and seeking Him and making God my eternal Father and the most important person in my life, my go to person at all times, the person I have come to trust the most. It has taken me many years of different struggles to now have found a place within myself where I can accept my limitations and use the coping skills that I have found through life experience, life trials of ups and downs to better cope with life. Its an awakening, it comes gradually for those who do not give up and keep their eyes fixed on God always for direction. Ongoing challenges will always be a factor in this life. It is that way for everybody. A big part of getting better is accepting the situations we cannot change and asking God to grant us the courage to change the things we can, and to give us the wisdom to know the difference. Because of my own personal struggles, of coming from a dysfunctional family, having lost my father at the age of 13 years and having to find my own way into adulthood with not a whole lot of parental guidance, I had to go through many struggles of hit and miss to find my way to keep above water. I have searched and searched gone to different methods to find help. Placing myself at times into free anonymous self help groups were I was exposed to a variety of other people with varying degrees of MH concerns. Through this I got to befriend and listen also to many different people with their very own life struggles. And it is by having met so many different people with divers MH challenges that I say with a bit of my own conviction, that I lean to a far greater extent against medication, because I have seen it NOT WORK, but only keep people stagnant and depressed and now depressed and stagant with medication and other health issues that the medication brought along with taking them. I pray to our Loving heavenly Father, that He guide you Precious pearl in His right direction, through His only begotten Son Christ Jesus and restore you to His wholesomeness in Mind, body and soul. Amen! Amen! Amen!
  4. Hi Mabel; Yes that is correct, there is so much out there that mixes things up a bit and if a person does not reality know what is written in the bible for themselves, they can get bamboozled/mislead in the wrong direction. That is why when I was 38 years old is the time I stoped everything and started to read the bible on my own. Because every Christian church that I was attending, the preacher was saying different things and those things did not match up with what is written in the Holy bible. I decided then that i would read the bible for myself, so that when I go to any church, i will then know if what I am hearing is just hearsay or if it matches up with Gods WORD. I remember reading the road less traveled in my early thirties. It was an interring read, but did not transform me, it just was a confirmation that life is difficult and we are all in the same boat in the sense that everyone has challenges to overcome. I think I even lost interest in reading it . not sure if I even read the book to completion. Can't remember. For sure there is a lot out there that if we do not align with the Word of God, we can be miss lead. the same with anywhere we hear about God,even here on "Worthy", we need to align what a person says with the word of God. A couple of years ago I found on a radio station: Advice line with Roy Masters. I just found him one evening when I could not sleep and was going through stations on my short wave radio dial and stumbled upon him. I remember finding him on the radio 27 years earlier but had not suffered enough to truly understand where he was coming from. This time i finally could understand what he was trying to convey especially about human nature. I then did order some of his tapes (I think i bought out the last of his tapes as now he only sells CD) But his tapes about how to handle stress and resentment, really helped me to heal a lot of what was broken for so long inside myself. But I used his healing reasoning with Christ Jesus and the Word of God. That helped me a lot to better understand the importance of forgiveness as well as the importance of letting go of resentments. These two -1) unforgiveness and -2) keeping resentments are what keep us sick and keep us also from drawing closer to God Rediscovering Roy Masters on the radio a couple years back (4 yrs) I finally could understand much more what he was trying to say, most importantly about keeping resentments and the need to let go of that For me, his explanation of human nature really helped me to let go of resentments and helped me further be able to truly forgive. Now if I question is Roy Masters saved and a True Christian? By the things he says, even though he quotes from scripture here and there, I still could not give a 100% yes to that question. Because, I am not convinced this man understands fully the reason for Christ to have come and shed His blood on the cross or how the trinity of God the Father Son and Holy Spirit works, because he does not try to reach his audience that way. Roy Master, coming from a Jewish background, does not place Christ as in the same position as God the Father, but neither does he dismiss Christ Jesus importance as Gods Son. Just I don't hear him speak much of the trinity of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. So because of this , I cannot say I know for sure whether he believes the full trinity of God or not. I hear him quote: many times that Jesus said: " don't call me good, there is no one but the Father that is good". And that quote is very much a loaded quote that if taken out of context can mean very differently then what Christ Jesus was trying to convey to the man questioning him who was trying to trick Christ Jesus. Roy Masters message is more about coming to know the Father and Jesus through quiet stillness (be still and know), that brings repentance. Also even though he has some biblical facts that align with his teachings, some of his views I am not always convinced are completely aligned with the Holy Bible. Especially his view of how a husband and wife are to be with one another especially in old age. I personally think he is a bit rough with his wife and personally don't see that, to be aligning with Gods word as to how a husband is to love his wife. So, I basically take the good of what he says, and reject what I don't see as aligning with the word of God. But i know that I can only do this correctly if I know what is already written in the bible so to use that as my gauge to discern if what he says matches up with the word of God says. With that said, I think we always have to use biblical discernment with anyone we are hearing , preaching about the Word of God. We need to align what a person says with the word of God, and always side on what the Word of God says in the Holy Bible over what the opinion of another , man/teacher/ preacher has to say. Nevertheless, I understand that this man Roy masters does have some valid points in getting us to understand repentance, human nature and also the necessity to forgive as Christ taught us how to forgive . And my good Friend Eddy said to me not to long before he passed : "trust no one fully other than God". Because man errs even with the best of intentions, but Gods Word Remains fixed, unchanging and eternal. I think that is what we need to do always. Align every thing with the Word of God and trust the Word of God as our final answer to what is truly True.
  5. Yes I believe this and I also believe scripture that says that God will provide a way for us to overcome sin. And that we will never be tempted more than we can bear, and that He will provide for us the way to overcome. as every new test of faith arise in each new day we are given in this world I truly believe it is the Holy Spirit of God who when we welcome Him to come make a home in our hearts, He circumcises our hearts with His commandments and begins working in us to make us His new creations. Sinful patterns we may have taken through life and ignorance and trauma, God can remove and heal us from them, as God will convict our spirits to what is right and what is wrong. When the Holy Spirit of God is truly working in our hearts, we will feel it when we are sinning and if we Love the Lord like we say we love the Lord we will want to overcome that sin so that it no longer is part of our lives. Yes we are covered by the Blood of Jesus for our sins, but when we become redeemed by His Mercy and Grace, the healing, cleansing process begins and as we keep drawing closer and closer to Him and keep earnestly looking to have a personal relationship with Him. through this process, we slowly become awakened to His righteousness, we slowly become transformed into His glory, so that His WORKS be manifested in us by the change of our ways by sinning less and less . When Gods Holy Spirit is truly working in us, we are no longer the same person we were as before we were saved. The things of the world we used to cling to before coming to fully know Christ, no longer appeal to us, as we become more and more transformed through His glory working in us. Praise the Lord! Thank you Christ Jesus!

  7. Thank you for your reply back hmbld The passage I have quoted that you wrote, puzzles me, because When I was young, I used to trust to easily . I had to learn through the school of hard knocks, that we must be discerning in this world. A wise man who now has passed told me in 2005, to trust no one but God. His name was Eddy and he came from a Jewish background but came to believe in Christ Jesus. I believe God placed us together in friendship for a time, and it was done for His glory, because I got to remind him back of his faith and through that he helped me straighten mine.Eddie passed away in 2010 at the age of 73 yrs Also the bible does tell us that in: Psalm 118:8 7The LORD is for me among those who help me; Therefore I will look with satisfaction on those who hate me. 8It is better to take refuge in the LORD Than to trust in man. 9It is better to take refuge in the LORD Than to trust in princes.… 1 John 4 4 My dear brothers, do not trust every spirit. But test the spirits to see if they belong to God. There are many prophets who are not true who have gone out into the world. 2 Here is how you can know the Spirit of God. Every spirit that believes that Jesus Christ has come in the body of a man is from God. 3 And every spirit that does not say this about Jesus, does not belong to God. That is the spirit of the one who is against Christ. You have heard that he is coming. And now he is already in the world. 4 My children, you belong to God. You have won the victory over those prophets who are not true. You have won because the Spirit that is in you is stronger than the spirit that is in the world. 5 Those prophets belong to the world. That is why they teach about things in the world. And that is why the people of the world listen to them. 6 But we belong to God. Anyone who knows God listens to us. Anyone who does not belong to God does not listen to us. This is how we know if a spirit is true or not true. 7 My dear brothers, we must love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves others is God's child and he knows God. 8 But anyone who does not love others does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love for us. He sent his only Son into the world to give us life. 10 This is love! We did not love God, but he loved us. And he sent his Son to be the sacrifice to pay for the wrong things we have done. 11 My dear brothers, if God loved us so much, we must love one another also. 12 No man has ever seen God. But God lives in us if we love one another. And in loving one another, his love is made perfect. 13 He has given us of his own Spirit. That is how we know that we are in him and he is in us. 14 And we have seen and we are telling you that the Father sent his Son to save the people in the world. 15 If anyone says, `Jesus is the Son of God,' God is in him and he is in God. 16 We know and we believe that God loves us. God is love. And anyone who loves others is in God and God is in him. 17 That is why we love each other very much. Then we will not be afraid on the day when people are judged. We are like Christ in this world. 18 Where God's love is, there is no fear. God's perfect love takes away fear. It is punishment that makes a person fear. Anyone who has fear does not have perfect love. 19 We love others because God first loved us. 20 If anyone says, `I love God', and he hates his brother, he is telling a lie. If he does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 21 God gave us this law. The person who loves God must love his brother also. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Because of many diverse things happening at once within our frame of being when engaging with someone i.e. -our culture, out past upbringing, our past social history, our basic personality, our past trauma/sin, our faith or lack of it- I don't think we can control when we feel offended because part of it is a reaction but I do think we can learn NEW ways to diffuse whatever is going on that offends us when we feel offended. And that is part of healing the broken soul/spirit. We need God and His Holy Spirit working in us to help us to diffuse and learn to diffuse our offenses or what we perceive as offensives in a Godly manner "Our battles are fought on our knees." Charles Stanley
  8. It depends on a persons ability of comprehension, its inner self esteem, and its capacity to reason and hopefully reason through the Holy Spirit of God working in a persons heart. It has been mentioned here " the turning of the other cheek ". That passage is not a passage to be used to allow a person to get abused or walked on. ( tha's not what Christ Jesus meant) I do think He means to not take offense. To turn the other cheek just like a plash of water leaving a ducks back and not remaining on it so not to soak it unnecessarily. No God does not want that for His children. God desires His children to know with confidence who they are in Christ Jesus and with a christian stance of peace, to go boldly speaking your truth in firmness, kindness and understanding, with Gods wisdom and Grace behind your actions and words. Cool Calm Collected is the best way to handle when being offended. And there is such a thing as to having a correct anger for what is wrong and stating your anger in a polite controlled way to make your point clear. Christ Jesus expressed his anger by exposing the money grabbers in the synagogue. He did not stay with his anger he made His point clear that it was wrong what they were doing, by turning over their trading tables and that was that. He stated it was wrong and moved on. We loose the battle for our rights when we succumb to anger, loose control of our temper and let our ego take control over Godly temperance. Of course we can become offended by a another persons bullying, deceitfulness, evil doing. And we should be able to stand for what is right, unless to do so, can bring-on unnecessary peril. ( the wisdom of God is needed here) especially when dealing with a cunning deceitful opposition. The thing is to know where we stand in Christ and to stand firm on that. If we are His children, we then when feeling offended bring our concerns to God and look into His Word for Answers before shooting off the lip or overreacting without much control. Then we will react in a more centered way, a more God centered way, with inner confidence c0nfi deo= trust in God that He is with us when we stand up for our rights or the rights of another, as another human being. Unfortunately abused children don't have many rights and can get quite broken from continuous abusive offenses given to them by their primary care gives and those that they were subjected to in their early developmental stages of life who acted abusively towards and instilled Trauma/sin into their innocent hearts. This is when Trauma=Sin can set in to the heart of the one offended/defiled, especially when it done at a very young developmental age. Healing from early inner trauma/sin is a process. This world if filled with broken people. And brokenness, defilement by sin and trauma can put people to sleep or in different hypnotic trances. Coming to God, tuning to God is the beginning of healing and waking up from diverse hypnotic trances this world has tried to impose on us through all manner of Trauma/sin. The only way complete healing can happen is by going to God and asking for His Mercy and Grace to set you free. God will come to the heart soul of the hurting one who truly seeks Him earnestly, and God will began His healing process in a broken heart once we ask God for forgiveness and to please come and make His home in our hearts. The inner healing of early Trauma that can make a person the way they are, takes time and patience for healing to happen. Assuredly as His Word is TRUE, healing in God will happen in anyone who comes to God and asks for His help, healing and forgiveness Many people have what we now call mental illness in ALL its varying degrees. With mental illness can come also learning liabilities, and having a very low self esteem that the early trauma brought on, compounded now with the mental illness that have set into a persons way of being. The only ONE that I know that can transform a broken person into a healed person from early Trauma is God and also the human Godly love of a true christian believer towards the broken person-people- in question I think the more you know who God is and are experiencing God working in your life and heart, the less you will become offended and the better you will know how to deal with the arrows of the enemies. If God is with you, who is going against you should not matter or carry its heaviness in your heart. Bring all concerns to God first, especially before taking any action. In all circumstances Speak your truth with firmness, kindness and understanding. with Gods truth (confi deo =confidence in God) by your side and as your guide. Not being offended to easily depends a lot on a person own confidence (confi deo= confidence in God) that they have within themselves and that begins with God working in your heart, healing your own heart and walking in confidence with God and knowing where you stand with God. Non of us is perfect, we are perfected though Christ working in our hearts, because of this, God has made His plan of Mercy to be working in all who call on Him And Godly forgiveness is a major key to the ingredient of not keeping offenses alive in ones heart and towards anyone . How many times are we to forgive? Matthew 18:21 20For where two or three gather together in My name, there am I with them.” 21Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother who sins against me? Up to seven times?” 22Jesus answered, “I tell you, not just seven times, but seventy-seven times!… (Matt. 7:2); Mark 11:25; (Eph. 4:32; Col. 3:13) Matt 6: 14-15“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But #Matt. 18:35; James 2:13if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
  9. He never claims without a shadow of doubt that the earth is flat, he just gave in one of his you tube videos biblical scripture that could very well point to that possibility. Instead of judging this man without even having listened to anything he has said, why not take a look at his you tube video on Mormonism and than base your judgemental thoughts on what he did say instead of what you think he said.
  10. I am NOT talking about flat earth here, I am talking about Mormonism. Bill Schnoebellen, this man does give a pretty good accurate and factuial account of these and with references in his video info on Catholicism, Mormonism, Freemasonry/Witchcraft . He has a video teaching called Mormonism Temple of Doom Part 1 of 2
  11. I go by the facts he has presented regarding the subject material. In his presentation video on the subject matter, he gives references where you yourself can verify weather what he is saying to be factual or not. He has you tube video teaching: called Mormonism Temple of Doom Part 1 of 2
  12. Hi Kwikphilly. About Bill Shnoebellen, well I discovered him this past winter and began listening to some of his video info on Catholicism, Mormonism, Freemasonry/Witchcraft. This man does give a pretty good accurate account of these and with references. In regards to the flat earth, yes he did post a video on this subject. But he was not promoting weather he was convinced the earth was flat or not, he just said from biblical references it does not look good for the globe team . I must admit when I saw that flat earth vedio, my fist gut reaction was well this guy is nuts, but then I began to research more about the flat earth , there are some pretty convincing theories to its possibilities. I don't think M. bill Schnoebellen is out to deceive, he himself giveshis very own personal testimony how he was caught up in all three beliefs-Catholicism, Freemasonry, Mormonism at one point in his life and then found his christian paths through reading the bible for himself. But that flat earth video in no way should take away from the other videos he has posted on Catholicism, Mormonism, freemasonry, as this man has thoroughly researched with back up references that anyone can look up for themselves.
  13. Thank you for sharing this information as you witnessed it hands on. what you say confirms a lot of what William Schnoebelen has had to say about Mormonism He has a video teaching called Mormonism Temple of Doom Part 1 of 2
  14. Amen sister and you, in Christ Jesus always Unashamed of the Gospel Romans 1:16 15That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome. 16I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek. 17For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”… Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
  15. No, it was a snarky question. I read the Bible. It is as simple as that. The bible will give you the right answers. don't trust people who say they are christian who don't believe what is written in the bible. Beware of the devil who uses his means to incite people to incite others to sin by goating them along in provocative questioning. Just like satan did in the garden Eden. satan tried to provoke Eve to question God and His TRUE motives. Satan could have easily said to Eve: Have you asked God personally? if you aren't familiar with Him how do you know what He thinks? As it is written in the bible that God warned Adam first and it was Adam that warned Eve. So this is how satan got to Eve by asking her -how do you know for sure? trying to place doubt in her -" If you aren't familiar with Him how could know what He thinks?". Hebrews 4:12 For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
  16. From my understanding pride unchecked unrepented grows. Before satans fall, he plotted, so his pride was already growing in darkness, by the time God cast him down he had tried to manipulate Gods angels into his favor and did succeed in corrupting 1/3 of them also. so just by that, I would conclude that when God decided to cast satan and the angels that succumbed to satans temptation down, he as well as the angels he -satan- corrupted were fully corrupted by his (satan) & -their( fallen angels)- pride to a point of no return. I john ch1 v 5 5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. God is the same yesterday today forever. His Laws do not change they remain eternal Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
  17. The sin that corrupted Lucifer was self-generated pride. (Ezekiel 28:12,15). And he remained perfect in his ways until iniquity was found in him (verse 15). What was this iniquity? We read in verse 17, “Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor.” Lucifer apparently became so impressed with his own beauty, intelligence, power, and position that he began to desire for himself the honor and glory that belonged to God alone. The sin that corrupted Lucifer was self-generated pride. Apparently, this represents the actual beginning of sin in the universe—preceding the fall of the human Adam by an indeterminate time. Sin originated in the free will of Lucifer in which—with full understanding of the issues involved—he chose to rebel against the Creator. This mighty angelic being was rightfully judged by God: “I threw you to the earth” (Ezekiel 28:18). This doesn’t mean that Satan had no further access to heaven, for other Scripture verses clearly indicate that Satan maintained this access even after his fall (Job 1:6-12; Zechariah 3:1,2). However, Ezekiel 28:18 indicates that Satan was absolutely and completely cast out of God’s heavenly government and his place of authority (Luke 10:18). As a result of this heinous sin against God, Lucifer was banished from living in heaven (Isaiah 14:12). He became corrupt, and his name changed from Lucifer (“morning star”) to Satan (“adversary”). His power became completely perverted (Isaiah 14:12,16,17). And his destiny, following the second coming of Christ, is to be bound in a pit during the 1000-year millennial kingdom over which Christ will rule (Revelation 20:3), and eventually will be thrown into the lake of fire (Matthew 25:41).
  18. and the bible says he fell because of his tradings. The story of Lucifer’s fall is described in two key Old Testament chapters—Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14. Somewhere pride entered him and that's when he fell. Having everything you want and need can also be as a test of faith. Virtue that is not tested is not virtue. Because when having everything, pride can come into the picture especially when we forget that what has been given to us has been by God and not of ourselves. Living in pride blinds and can blind the soul as it did big time with lucifer to the point of searing his soul unto soul death , fervently denying God is who He says He is ( the unforgivable sin) away from God forever. When one is not firmly grounded in Gods Truth, wealth and fame can blind a person further way from God. Even solomon who asked God for everything and got everything, struggled . Even though soloman gave some good advice, we do not know if in the end soloman did find salvation with God. To much is given, much is required. We need Christ Jesus in our hearts to keep strong always, and since we are human , every day presents itself with new test of faith. That is why we need Christ Jesus , the armor of God to face every new test of faith that comes our way, everyday. Without God, we can do nothing. And the same was with lucifer, his pride blinded him from this very realisation.
  19. YES YES Those that do have been misguided away from Gods truth. Yes most people who get involved,do so for selfish reasons, and for impatiently wanting things there own way, rather than going humbly to God and patiently waiting on God to lead and give them direction. Because they are very cunningly being tickled/ tempted by the adversary . Some do heed to inner warnings and go and pray to God directly. That is the right thing to do and leads away from harms way. Repent of your sins, place them at the foot of the cross where Christ Jesus, Gods only begotten son died and shed His Holy Blood to cover, heal and restore all that satan has tried to take away from God through the manner of enticing devious sin. Ask the Holy Spirit of God to come make His home in your heart and to circumcise your heart with His righteousness. develop a daily communication with God in gratitude, thankfulness and willingness to be with Him always. He will guide you into His righteousness of thought and away from the deceit counterfeit concepts of Lucifer. Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct[a] your paths.
  20. All forms of witchcraft is an abomination to God. From the replies already in this thread you have been properly warned. I pray you heed to those who are cautioning you to NOT delve any further into witchcraft . Getting involved with satanic practice may seem innocent at first but remember the devil is cunning baffling and powerful his sole purpose is to steal kill and destroy. satan can numb your conscious, bring you to sin and sin and make you even unconscious that what you are doing is sinning, satan can help to sear your conscious to the point were you no longer have much of a conscious of what is Godly right and what is Godly wrong, and that can eventually lead your soul to death. The bible warns strongly in the old and new testament to not go there that it is an abomination to God. God also warned Adam and Eve not to partake of the fruit of the tree of good and bad but they got tempted by satan and disobeyed. It cost them dearly. when the bible warns strongly against something listen to that warning. The bible in the old and new testament keeps warning against witchcraft. Please for your own sake, investigete what the bible has to say about it. Nothing good can come out of going into witchcraft. What may seem innocent fun to you may take your consciousness way far away from the point you are now at with your present relationship with God. I am saying this from my own experience. It took a long while for me to shake off a lot of the things I went into "innocently" just thinking that it was basically harmless and that I had control of things. -wrong, wrong, wrong. It has taken me years to find back proper footing and restoration in Christ Jesus. Please heed the warnings, it could save you many years of distress and also it could save your life from eternal peril.
  21. Hi, this is a great topic because , when understood, it can change our attitude & our relationship toward God and what God can do for us. God our heavenly Father Loved us FIRST and really wants to develop with each of us a parent to child relationship with HIM. Father God wants us to be in a loving relationship with Him What does it mean to be in a loving relationship with anyone? What are the main ingredients for a loving relationship to exist between two beings? 1)Belief in that person 2) Faith in that person 3) Trust in that person A loving relationship is always symbiotic, meaning it takes two people to make it happen. It cannot only be one sided or the relationship fizzles out. The energy of the relationship needs to be coming from both sides for it to be vibrating=alive, moving and growing. God our Father is Loving Eternal Fixed(does not change/loyal to His Word) yet vibrating =faithful energy. He loved us first and He gives us the freedom to choose to want to be in relationship with Him or not. That require on our part : 1* a desire to want to know and believe in Him 2*a desire to want to trust and love Him 3*a desire to want to be in continuous eternal loving relationship with Him. To have a relationship with anyone we need to have some kind of basic hope, faith , trust in someone. without placing some kind of basic trust in someone, a relationship cannot develop further in faith=faitfulness or belief=knowing it is truly TRUE To have a relationship with someone, we first begin by placing a little trust, a little belief, a little hope that what we are hoping for is truly GOOD. Faith grows as we see that what we are believing in is TRULY GOOD and TRUE to what it says it is . 1+1=2 This is a fixed mathematical law, created by GOD our Father. It does not change. God has made fixed Laws that do not change. God IS a FIXED CONSCIOUS LIVING ETERNAL LAW that IS and does NOT change. His equations are TRUE The equation of Gods Love comprises of LIGHT. No darkness can enter it. Lucifer, now satan the fallen angel who fell from truth tried to take Gods laws and tried to change them. By Lucifers tradings he became prideful and wanted to become like God. by trying to change them, Gods equations, Lucifer became himself a faulty equation Lucifer is the counterfeit of what Is TRUE What is good is TRUE brings LIFE is WHOLESOME and FAITHFUL to its GOOD WORD . The WORD of GOD says that ALL have been given a measure of FAITH=faithfulness. However without GOD we are not complete without faithfulness in HIM working in our hearts. Faith=faithfulness =good loyal to his/her word by energy of action/thought. Belief is what we first need to place in good faith towards one another in order to be in good relationship with one another in hoping that what we placed in good belief is coming to be actually be faithful actions to what it says it can be or is. belief in something good =knowing what we are placing our faith=faithfulness in is something that has TRUTH, GOODNESS, LOYALTY in it. Our belief, faith, trust , grows as how our interaction with what we believe in grows. Now with God there is LOVE as God is Love, Light , GOODNESS. His faithfulness does not change, He is a FIXED LAW. God is our heavenly Father, who has Love for us, believes in us, and has faith in us. God sees our potential and is always looking to believe in us, like a good father believes good things for his children. we either believe this or we don't. But God our Father is still there waiting to be able to love and give us His love and abundantly so. But many times we prevent Him from doing this by our lack of faith, our lack of trust. Depending on how much we have faith in this and believe/trust this, makes the difference as to how we experience God interacting with us. We either shut Him out or we allow Him in. Our relationship with God starts to grow as we begging to have a loving personal relationship with Him. Many if not most of us have to go through learning curves of understanding these Truths about who GOD says HE IS Through His Word and through prayer=talking to Him, interacting with Him on a personal relationship level by seeking to communicate with Him through prayer=talking to God and by reading His WORD. By placing a measure of faith and trust toward HIM. How do we learn to trust someone? Usually by the actions of a persons WORDS. by giving them a chance to prove themselves And the only way to truly understand and grow is by beginning to develop a personal loving symbiotic relationship with Him that is based on trust and faith=faithfulness. Now what does developing a trusting loving symbiotic(two way) relationship mean? what are the main ingredients in developing a trusting symbiotic (two way) loving relationship with someone? First is takes wanting to get closer to something we want to believe in and trust in. We first may do that by placing some kind of blind faith =faithfulness, that what we are hoping=trusting for is TRUE=faithful. This placing some kind of minimum faith=faithfulness also requires us to place some kind of minimum trust in what we want to believe is true. Like the beginnings of a loving relationship, we need to place some kind of faith, hope and belief that this person is a good person and what they are saying about themselves is truthful. And we also in turn desire to show them that we also are good and loyal and faithful. The more we see that the person we are placing some faith=faithfulness towards is indeed reacting to our faith=faithfulness in love and goodness, the more our own faith=faithfulness , trust, love, grows. Like a good Father, God loved us before we where even born. He is the good Father, wanting to get close to His children. Wanting to Love His children Wanting the best for His children Wanting to give a wealthy good inheritance for His children. Our Father God does this by showing us His GOOD examples. By teaching us, by reprimanding us, gently chastening us and also giving us Hi blessings. Like a good Father Gods arms are always open to HIS children. Now what about US his children? What does a child do in return for the love of HIS parent? Does he/she show back love to Him? Loyalty to Him? good faith=Faithfulness to Him? Usually a child who loves his father will want to please his father, will desire to be loyal to his father, will want to follow by the good examples of his father. The child will aspire to want to be just like his father. Not to take away from his Father but to Glorify and honor his father As the Father has faith=faithfulness in His child, the child will learn and will seek to have faith=faithfulness in his/her father. By being faithful in a relationship the relationship can only grow, the trust can only grow , the love can only grow. Without faith=faithfulness is is impossible to please God our Father Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
  22. The Holy temple of God begins within you, within your heart, by developing a daily personal relationship with Him alone. The Holy Spirit of God will then make His home in your heart and so the temple of the Holy spirit will be in your heart, wherever you go. ***It should not be dependent on any building or waver because of any person.*** The Word of God is your Truth and your sustenance. In His Word -the Holy Bible- and by having a daily relationship with Him, you will find your answers. 1 Corinthians 4:20 20For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. The Church=assembly of like minded people IS DEAD when the Holy Spirit of God is not found in its people. Luke 9:60 59Then He (Christ Jesus) said to another man, “Follow Me.” “Lord,” the man replied, “first let me go and bury my father.” 60But Jesus told him, “Let the dead bury their own dead. You, however, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” A church that calls itself Christian is dead when it has more lust of the flesh being manifest than fruits of the spirit that are manifested within its people especially the leaders and then also its people. Galatians 5:16-26 Walking in the Spirit Of God 16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery,[a] fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders,[b] drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. The kingdom of God is found living in any truly repentant heart that has repented to God from the heart and asked Christ Jesus to forgive their sins and asked the Holy Spirit of God to then come and make a home in their hearts. 1 Corinthians 6:19 9Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body . John 15:4-6 Christ Jesus said: 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. Isaiah 66 True Worship and False 66 Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? 2 For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist,” Says the Lord. “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word. 3... Just as they have chosen their own ways, And their soul delights in their abominations, 4 So will I choose their delusions, And bring their fears on them; Because, when I called, no one answered, When I spoke they did not hear; But they did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight.” Acts 7:48-50 48 “However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says: 49 ‘Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. What house will you build for Me? says the Lord, Or what is the place of My rest? 50 Has My hand not made all these things? John 15:5-16 Christ Jesus said: 15 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away;[a] and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will[b] ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. Love and Joy Perfected 9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. 11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another. The World’s Hatred 18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 He who hates Me hates My Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father. 25 But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’[c]
  23. Hi Steve, On the positive note, you're getting better enough to be discharged . About your family situation with your mother and brother? Well it could have been the same in any other family dynamics like spouse and children. Dis function in families has many dynamic forms Not in many families does it run all so smoothly even in Christians ones as everybody is on their own personal spiritual growth curve. Living in assisted living also has its drawbacks. And living alone, while you will perhaps find more peace and tranquility (maybe not, you may get some problematic neighbors) there is going to be the issue of accepting a new lifestyle that living alone can entail. This needs to be thought through carefully But if your current living situation with your mother and brother is negative 24/7, then perhaps looking and planning for other accommodations may be the best and more peaceful solution for all concerned. Also living alone, you will most likely discover parts of yourself you were not fully aware of. it can also bring you closer to God as you may have more time to reflect . The thing to remember is that leaving a living situation that you have been so used to, even if it is for the better, may take some adjustments. The best thing to do is pray about it to the Lord, ask Him for guidance. He will respond to your heart as to what is best for you to do. Sometimes circumstances beyond our say or control, make for us to change our living situation. Like a sudden death in the family. It is always good to keep a realistic perspective. Is making a change in where you live a better thing to do now? or would it be better for you if you wait for circumstances beyond, to force you make to make a change? These need to be brought to the Lord in prayer and wait on Him to answer your heart. Remember always:Romans 8:28King James Version (KJV) 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Philippians 4:6 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
  24. First we do not know if Jobs children were saved, and if they were saved , they went to a good place with God. There are so many events now as and in history where we hear of tragic events , of people dying and we can say why them and not another one? As for us being Christian we need to keep living in his word and by faith in Him. As christian we need t repent of our sins, ask for forgiveness and let Him do His good work in us, healing us transforming us more and more into His new creation. Cling to God and ask Him to remove sin, generational curses and walk in His light these things if unattended to, can shorten a Christians life. That is why as christian we need to have a daily relationship with the Lord and cling to His word and ask Him to help us see our sins so we can be healed from them and keep move onwards, forwards in hope always towards his higher calling Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct[a] your paths. God has a plan, His ways are not our ways, and we only can understand but in a limited amount of how God IS . Isaiah 55:8 7Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. 8"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. 9"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts. 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. What we are asked to do to keep in faith over doubt and fear: Philippians 4: 4-6 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. ****6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.**** Meditate on These Things 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. We were called by God in One Hope Ephesians 4: Ephesians 4New King James Version (NKJV) Walk in Unity 4 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you[a] all. Spiritual Gifts 7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.”[b] 9 (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first[c] descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. The New Man 17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of[d] the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Do Not Grieve the Spirit 25 Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,”[e] for we are members of one another. 26 “Be angry, and do not sin”:[f] do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. 28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. 2 Corinthians 1:4 4 Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”[e] made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. 13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.”[f] Since we have that same spirit of[g] faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Philippians 3:14 3 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe. 2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation! 3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit,[a] rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh, 4 though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so: 5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; 6 concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. 7 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Pressing Toward the Goal 12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. 16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule,[b] let us be of the same mind. Our Citizenship in Heaven 17 Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. 18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things. 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. ------------------------------ Because we know so very little of Gods knowledge for us, that is why we should even more cling to His Word for direction and keep trusting Him no matter what happens as His Words tells us to do, to keep persevering in good faith till the end.
