I can't help it if you don't know how to read.

Quote from o.O "What it takes to get to heaven is, come judgment day, Jesus says that you and/or I are his and judgment is passed over for none of us ever are going to be worthy to go to heaven. " That also my understanding, that we are forgiven in Christ Jesus and so we will not be under the same judgements as someone who has not confessed their sins and asked Christ Jesus to make a home in their hearts. My understanding is also when you truly ask God to forgive your sins through Gods only begotten Son Christ Jesus and ask Gods Holy Spirit to make a home in your life, you are asking that God who is LAW to come make His home in your heart. From my own experience, when you do this, The Holy Spirit of God does come to you and begins to work in your heart, convicting your spirit, chastising your spirit making you aware of when you are going the wrong way and giving you His grace to show you how to overcome, and so by this we become born again, transformed step by step as the Holy Spirit of God works in our hearts. (This is the Law of God working in our hearts) we don't need external circumcision, because the holy spirit of god has circumcised our hearts Colossians 2:11 10 and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority 11 and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; 12having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.… and for the Jews it was: Deuteronomy 30: 6 5 "The LORD your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers. 6 "Moreover the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live. 7"The LORD your God will inflict all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.… ----------------------------- I only know what I have experienced in my walk with God , and it is the Holy Spirit of God, who has gently awakened me to SEE where I went wrong, were I am still going wrong and what needs changing and transformation to become further purified in Him. For sure, I am not there yet, but as long as I keep God close to my heart on a daily basis, my protection and salvation back to God has been covered by the shed blood of Gods only begotten Son Christ Jesus, that payed the penalty for ALL my sins. With that, my judgment was made when I turned my life to the cross and shed my sins with Christ Jesus on the cross and humbly asked the holy spirit of God to come into my heart and make His home in my heart. By doing this the Laws of God are working in my heart, more so than without asking Him into my heart. That means that God consciousness is working in my heart and conscious and when I go astray, like the good shepherd that Christ Jesus is, He comes gently to help me back up. Over the years, its the Holy Spirit of God who has changed me by Him working in me. through this my behaviors have changed, not by my effort but by my heart being changed more and more to the heart of God=into His image. I know I have still learning and transformation to do, but as long a I continues asking the Holy Spirit of God -let go of self and let God take the reigns. I know He will continue to work in my heart and guide me through my circumstances. and despite what may happen, good or bad, God is with me to see me through and to see me back home with Him ---------------------------------------- The 10 commandments where given as signs post to guide people in the right direction. They are not meant for good people to follow, because good people would naturally do them, they were placed to show the way to become good so to lead a healthier life, body, mind, soul. They are still important, for some people especially in this day and age, don't know anymore right from wrong. because everybody does as they please in the secular world and everything becomes confusion. God is not the author of confusion. God is Law, clear and simple to understand The 10 commandments should be naturally in the heart of someone who is pure without sin. The thing is that we ALL fall short of these laws because of our fallen nature. Adam and Eve, lost the discernment of Gods Law when their egos got seduced by satan to stray and do their own thing. When Abraham was, there were no established laws. Why did God still honor Abraham even without any established Laws? Because Abraham seeked God and seeked God alone, Abraham seeked to establish a daily ongoing relationship with God, and listened to Gods guidance for all of his life. Sometimes Abraham got side tracked by his wife Sera or other who did not yet believe like Abraham, and Abraham succumbed to going the wrong way by sleeping with the maid servant instead of trusting God. But Abraham continued turning to God, asking God for guidance. And for this, God Established His promises with Abraham's' seed. Because of Abraham's continued steadfast faithfulness in seeking an ongoing relationship with god and God alone. And God honored Abraham, because Abraham stayed loyal and true to God by seeking & asking God to show him the way, to show him His ways over mans ways . Gods ways are His Laws. I am not talking about all the man-made laws that came about to keep people so busy to do the right thing, they had barely had time to do the wrong thing, but still could not do the right thing because of their fallen nature.. Those became intellectual obsessive compulsive laws, that actually took away rather than brought forth Gods true Laws. They to me are tradition add-on laws, just as faulty as the traditional Catholic man made add on Laws. Christ Jesus came to establish back the right Law that Satan had taken away from mans heart.

my full quote from earlier: They failed to love their neighbor as themselves also breaking the commandments is failing to love your neighbor as yourself, when it comes to coveting, bearing false witness, adultery, stealing, killing... same difference. when you love God with all your mind, body and soul and love your neighbor as yourself, you are fulfilling all commandments in your heart. The fulfillment of the Mercy and Grace of Christ Jesus paying for the penalty our our sins allows us the possibility of having the Holy Spirit of God live and work His laws in our hearts convicting our hearts and helping us to transform into His new Creation through the renewing of His Holy Spirit within us, within our hearts. From my own understanding, this was not possible until Christ Jesus paid the penalty on the cross for our sins.. -------------------------------------------------------------- Matthew ch5 v17 Christ Jesus said: "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets, I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. -18 for assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one title will be by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. -19 Whoever therefore breacks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called the least in the kindgdom of heaven, but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Chrisy Jesus said He did not come to be done with the Law and the prphets But to FULFILL it. Romans ch11 19-31 19 Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” 20 That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 22 Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. 23 And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree. The Mystery of Israel's Salvation 25 Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers:[c] a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”; 27 “and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” 28 As regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30 For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now[d] receive mercy.

To Be, Or Not To Be (?)
1to3 replied to RevelationWriter's topic in The Substance of Man: Body, Spirit, Soul
Jesus was a Jew, was born from Jewish descendants from the house of David. John 7: 42 41Others were saying, "This is the Christ." Still others were saying, "Surely the Christ is not going to come from Galilee, is He? 42"Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the descendants of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?" 43So a division occurred in the crowd because of Him.… Romans 1:3 …2which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures, 3concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, 4who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,… He is the promised messiah written in the old testament. Matthew 27:37 36And sitting down, they began to keep watch over Him there. 37And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, "THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS." 38At that time two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and one on the left.… Christ Jesus, Messiah Jesus came for the Jew first than the Greek. (the Greek refers to what is not Jewish but gentile=anything not born Jewish) Romans 1:16 16For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH." Christ Jesus is God John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God.… -
If we look at all the people God used and transformed, they were all at fist sinners. The difference with those sinners was that with all their sins, they still came to God and asked God for His Mercy and Grace. Even in their imperfections, God worked in them and helped to transform them into the the men/women of God they slowly became. In their fallen sin state God found them and because of their placing their faith in God, God helped them and transformed them into the men/women of god they became. Abraham, Isaac , Jacob, Moses, all sinned and made mistakes, yet God kept helping them and transformed them into men of God. It is a process. the difference between then and now is the New covenant that was fulfilled on the cross by Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus said, that He has to go so that the Helper, could come into their hearts and work in their hearts so to teach them and lead them from within. This for all who call for Gods plan of Mercy and Grace. John 14: 15,16,17, (Christ Jesus promises the Holy Spirit of God to come make a home in their hearts) John 16:7 …6"But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7"But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. 8"And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment;… Christ Jesus said in John 15:16 15"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16"I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; 17that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.… The laws and man made religious add on laws, those man -made add-on laws no more are in effect, such as having to sacrifice animals for our sins. At the time of Christ Jesus crucifixion, the temple of the Holy of Hollies was torn in two, that was a place where they would go and place a sacrificed animal for redemption of their sins. That place of Hollies, was ripped in half at the time of Christs crucifixion. after Christ Jesus fulfilled Gods plan of Mercy and Grace on the cross at Calvary, we were no longer are in meed of being circumcised outwardly as belonging to Christ Jesus, our hearts have been inwardly circumcised, Romans 2 : 15 "who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness and between themselves their thoughts accusing them or excusing them," Christ Jesus came so that the Law of God be fulfilled for the Jew first and then the Gentile=all that is not Jewish. Romans 1: 16 16For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."

Who said , Grace covers all of the law of Moses ? Answer: Christ Jesus said it Christ Jesus came to fulfill the law, remember He was without sin. Christ Jesus said that He gave a new commandment and that on these ALL other commandments exist. That is if you truly loved your neighbor as yourself, all 10 commandments would follow. John 13: 33 34 Christ Jesus said: 33"Little children, I am with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, now I also say to you, 'Where I am going, you cannot come.' 34"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35"By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." Matthew 22 : 37,38,3940 Christ Jesus said: 37 "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. this is the first and and great commandment 39"The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' 40"On these two commandments hang ALL the whole Law and the Prophets." (John 14:15-24) Christ Jesus said : “If you love Me, keep My commandments … He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him … If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him … He who does not love Me does not keep My words”

From what I understand of Gods plan of Mercy and Grace, is that even as we are sinners, God Grace is there to receive us under Gods wing, and His Mercy is there to forgive us without payment or merit (its a free unmerited gift for all those who come to God and ask for forgiveness=Mercy and Grace=welcoming us into His fold. Christ Jesus the promised Messiah paid the price -penalty- to buy us back from satan"s hold on us. That is Gods plan of Mercy and Grace in action. Mercy= unwarranted forgiveness Grace = free gift of salvation into Gods fold. If we read the psalms we can see also that God showed His Mercy and Grace to those who seeked God out with a sincere heart and who were willing to follow the 10 commandments over the their own fleshly desires. The difference of the New covenant is with the Messiah Jesus having paid the penalty for our sins, so that when we repent to God for our sins by placing our sins on the cross with Christ Jesus. who paid the penalty for our sins to buy us back from satans hold, and than invite the Holy Spirit of God to come make a home in our hearts, we are inviting the laws of God (the 10 commandments) to be written in our hearts, through the power of the Holy spirit of god, now living in our hearts.. it is God plan our Mercy and Grace working in our heart through the Holy Spirit of God living in us, convicting our spirit and working in us to change us(refine us) through the power of the Holy Spirit of God in us, step by step transforming us into the child of God we were always intended to be. The difference is the penalty of our sins was paid on the cross when Christ Jesus came forth, so that the commandment could live in our hearts, by the Holy Spirit of God living in our hearts. Before Christ Jesus came the Jewish people were living not only from the law of the ten commandments, but of so many other man-made laws that these actually enslaved them more than freed them. Christ Jesus, Messiah Jesus, the sacrificial Lamb of God (who takes away the sins of this world) came to free us from the bondage's of sins as well as the bondage's of mans' added -on man made laws. It was through God Mercy=undeserved, unmerited forgiveness and Gods Grace = undeserved welcoming into Gods family= uniting us back home into Him, through the blood covering of His only begotten Son Christ Jesus who paid the penalty of our sins, and who is our advocate Christ Jesus= our Good shepherd. Matthew 5:17 Christ Jesus said: 17"Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. 18"For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished Hebrews 8: 10 I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. Jeremiah 31:33"This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time, " declares the LORD. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

DO YOU BELIEVE ITS OKAY TO EAT PORK, AS A BELIEVER IN GOD ?

it would also cost about three times as much. Form original: There must have been a very valid reason why the Jewish people were given wisdom to not eat certain things. In those times, sanitary and preservation of foods were quite limited. Today we can still fall ill because of unsanitary conditions concerning food. But there is another point from which food becomes less flavorful to partake in, and that is how the food was raised and how it was cultivated or killed for the use of food. If anyone bothered to go see some of the ways some farm animals are treated and killed for food, that alone should be saying to your conscious something about eating these foods. ------------------------------------------------------------ 1rst reply: I am saying we should be more aware of where our food is coming from. If people were more involved in the betterment of what produce of food is sold, from where it comes from, how it was cultivated to how it was prepared as a food, we would have better food. That includes everything . ------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd reply If more people did the right thing and investigated a little better where their food is coming from, and applied more discrimination over the choices of food they chose to purchase, the prices would eventually come down, until then, quality for ones health is better than quantity. After viewing how pigs are kept and slaughtered in Canada, I lost my appetite for porc. If you ever owned an animal and see another animal so abused and mistreated by its owners and do nothing about it, but then go ahead and eat that animal that has had a sorry and abused life, and feel o.k. about it them so be it. I don't know, to me its disturbing my peace to know what they do. -

I am glad you agree that Christ Jesus is good there is a littler flower, even satan acknowledged who Christ Jesus is, but keeping to the original topic, unless you have had a change of heart, No, we definitely do not agree. I see deception at work here, so I have said my peace, it is found in my already given replies. To the glory of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Theres a liitle flower, Did you read the full chapter of Matthew 19 and 20? Once again you come at me by asking me if Christ Jesus was good? If you don't know that by now, may God help you and also help you understand Matthew 19 and 20 in its completeness . “Why do you call me good? Only God is good.” This is what our Lord Jesus said to the wealthy young man in. Matthew 19:16-26 Why did our Lord say this? Was He denying His inherent deity as the Son of God? I recall a conversation I once had with a Jehovah’s Witness at my front door who tried to use this verse as “proof” that Jesus couldn’t possibly be God. Talking to me as if I were a slow-witted child he asked, “Now, you believe that God is good, right?” Yes, I agreed, God is good. “That’s right!” he said. “And so if God is good and Jesus said ‘don’t call Me good’ then how can Jesus be God?” Jesus didn’t say, “Don’t call Me good” but instead had carefully asked the young man, “Why do you call Me good?” I then asked him if he thought it was right or wrong to call Christ Jesus good. He wasn’t sure what to say, so I continued, “I think we would both have to agree that Christ Jesus is good. That’s why mournful sinners were drawn to Him, that’s why righteous people loved Him, that’s why even His enemies were forced to invent false charges against Him at His trial. We can’t even say that Christ Jesus was relatively good in comparison to the rest of humanity, because the scriptures testify that there was absolutely no sin or unrighteousness in Him whatsoever. Jesus was and is entirely and completely good, with a goodness utterly indistinguishable from God’s goodness.” I then concluded, “If Jesus is undeniably good, and we both agree that only God is good, then who must this Jesus be?” Well I’m sorry to say that the unhappy man at my doorstep lost interest in our discussion after this and soon left. But returning to the gospel in Matthew 19, we can see that Christ Jesus was by no means denying His deity to the rich young man, or His goodness. If anything, He was confirming it. Reading this verse correctly we can see that our Lord was simply trying to make this man slow down and put the pieces of the puzzle together as to who this “good Jesus” must truly be. And why would He do that in this particular case? There were many people who came to Christ Jesus, mostly asking for healing, and He usually healed them with only a brief word about the importance of faith or of living without sin. But here Christ Jesus spoke of much more, granting a sort of “mini-Theophany” by way of a subtle revelation of His divinity. Why did He do this? The answer might be found in the fact that this young man’s request was different from anyone else’s. He came, seeking not physical healing, but salvation. “What good thing must I do to inherit eternal life?” Please notice the wisdom in our Lord’s response. He first spoke of the need to follow the commandments of God, or in other words, of the necessity to not bring further harm to one’s soul by doing those things which are contrary to eternal life. Many Christians today have a rather cavalier attitude about sin, feeling that as long as they are forgiven their actions are more or less irrelevant. But the effects of sin aren’t marked on some scoreboard in heaven, but upon our souls. Righteousness matters, and the commandments of God are important to us, or else Christ Jesus wouldn’t have said so. Now this young man claimed to have kept all the commandments from his youth. This was apparently not a false boast, for we are told in Mark’s account that Jesus looked upon him and loved him when he said this. From Matthew’s gospel we can see that the young man was even further blessed to recognize that the commandments alone were not enough to save him, and so he asked with urgency, “What do I still lack?” Have you ever thought to ask God, “Lord, what do I still lack?” Most of us would rather tell God what we think is missing from our lives, and be miserable until He gives it to us. But what a bold thing it is to ask, “Lord, what do I still lack?” We can begin to see why Christ Jesus loved this man. And indeed, here was a fellow about as ready as any person could be to receive the answer from Jesus Christ as to what he needed to gain eternal life. And Christ Jesus told him, “One thing you lack. Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven. And come, take up the cross, and follow Me”. At this command, the man became sad and went away grieving, for he had great possessions. Our Lord knew He was asking a difficult and unexpected thing of this young man. That is why He first graciously allowed the man a certain spiritual insight into His divine authority. “It is not simply your ‘good teacher’ asking this of you; it is your good God. Follow Me in both life and death, and you will live in My kingdom forever.” The inescapable tragedy of this story is that even with this kind and wonderful revelation, the man still turned his back on Christ Jesus and walked away. Before we are tempted to think that Christ Jesus was too harsh, notice that the young man didn’t go away angry or offended. He went away grieving. You see, when people think they are being treated unfairly they generally get mad. But when they are asked to do what they know is right, but find that they are unwilling to make the sacrifice, their souls are filled with sorrow. This is a grief that many Christians know all too well. There may be some impediment in our lives that we know Christ has asked us to give up, to leave behind, or to walk away from that we might follow Him in freedom. Or perhaps there is some good thing He has asked us to do that we are simply unwilling to obey. No matter how much we try to excuse, justify, or distract ourselves, that thing remains as a kind of barricade between us and our good Jesus. Sorrow of soul is the natural result, and this seems to be what was taking place in this young man’s heart. We were created to enjoy an unhindered communion with God, though the path to that through our spiritual darkness is long and difficult. If we must mourn in this life, let it be over our present fallen condition, tempered with hope in God’s mercy and healing. Let us not needlessly add to our sorrow by any stubborn refusal to follow Christ Jesus and obey Him. If we will be careful to do what is right, one day our mourning will be turned into joy, our tears into laughter. We can trust the good Christ Jesus, our God, to save us and have mercy upon us. To the glory of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Thank you kwik for expressing what I also believe. To :Theres is a little flower, If you could not understand what I was saying with scripture verses, Than I think without Gods Holy Spirit helping you SEE, you will not SEE what I wrote in the context that I wrote it which was to show you the word of God from the Holy Bible. You asked me a question: is Jesus God? Yes exactly Jesus is God, you know that to? I hope, as the RCC does acknowledge the trinity of God the Father , the Son and the Holy Spirit of God as being the same yet distinct. If you read the whole of the chapter I quoted in Matthew 19 and follow through to the next chapter where Christ Jesus explains through a parable about what the kingdom of heaven is like, I do pray that you SEE what Christ Jesus is trying to say, that no one who God gives His Mercy and Grace is better than the other no matter how many good works one has done. Following through reading to the end of Matthew chapter 20 Christ Jesus tells a woman inverse 20 through 28 that he who wants to be great will be least, and to those who still did not understand, but asked that Christ Jesus open their eyes so that they may SEE what Christ Jesus was saying, Christ Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes.

I know this question is not directed to me, but reading this, I would conclude, that really no man/woman/human, may ever know until we are back with the Lord who are true saints and who are not. And I don't mean to point only to the Catholic church and its members, but since we are talking about Catholic policies, I would say, until the recent (within the past 50 years and over even past centuries) unveiling of the popes and priests and dare I even include women nuns and other deemed good people in the picture, has proven that many who claimed piety or where judged as thus, where in fact libel to some very serious offenses. There is are a few passages in the Bible that say trust no man but God alone: Psalm 118:8 8It is better to take refuge in the LORD Than to trust in man. 9It is better to take refuge in the LORD Than to trust in princes.… Psalm 146: 3 2I will praise the LORD while I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being 3Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation. 4His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.… Jeremiah 17:5 …4And you will, even of yourself, let go of your inheritance That I gave you; And I will make you serve your enemies In the land which you do not know; For you have kindled a fire in My anger Which will burn forever. 5Thus says the LORD, "Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the LORD. 6"For he will be like a bush in the desert And will not see when prosperity comes, But will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, A land of salt without inhabitant.… also there is another passage that says , all are we like filthily rags, Isaiah 64:6 5You meet him who rejoices in doing righteousness, Who remembers You in Your ways. Behold, You were angry, for we sinned, We continued in them a long time; And shall we be saved? 6For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. 7There is no one who calls on Your name, Who arouses himself to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us And have delivered us into the power of our iniquities. and Christ Jesus living as a human said: why call me good, only My Father in heaven is good. Matthew 19: 17 Christ Jesus said Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is God, but is you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.' To me its quite clear, praying to dead people, because we judge them good, is truly going the wrong way.

Hi Firestone, from what you write, you seem to have the answers to your questions within the words you wrote. At seventeen years, you are at a special time of your life, where the decisions you make today, can have a lasting impact on the rest of your life for good or for bad, depending on the choices you make now. I was seventeen once so what I write, I also right from my own experience. You said that you think you need a mentor. You are probably correct. Fresnoe Joe, wrote some valuable things that if you want to follow and hear from God, those things are instrumental in your walk with God. Life goes faster than one thinks, what you gravitate towards today will build the foundation of your tomorrows. Building on the rock of Christ Jesus, will secure each foot step you make . And if you want a mentor from the bible, look to Christ Jesus found in the gospels, He mentored His disciples, He continues to mentor today through His Word found in Holy scripture. Matthew 7:24,25,26,27 Christ Jesus said: 24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.” May God Bless you and strengthen your integrity in Him always 1to3

Boy all this intellectual talk and history is interesting and eye opening, but I guess I consider myself lucky to have never really got caught up in to the Catholic faith the way it is represented here in these pages. Maybe I came fro a "cradle catholic family" the emphasis for me was always on Christ Jesus. Somehow through all my struggles with trying to find my way, God never abandoned me and kept picking me up and getting me back to His fold. But also even though i still had a lot of learning and growing and letting go to do, I also never stopped asking God for repentance help and guidance. My faith is in God through His only begotten Son Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit of God making His home in my heart. Its really unfortunate to read about all these add-ons over what the Word of God says. I can understand why people are so mixed up, and don't know what to believe in and that many, many are closed to hear anything about the bible these days. Many , people in the province of Quebec, have left the RCC and have become atheist. The existing family members that I have are all atheists and most people who are my age or older who once grew up in the RCC or even Anglican or Lutheran, now don't really believe, Some are just atheist, while others believe in all kinds or different philosophies mixed into their belief in God, where Christ Jesus is no longer the focal point of their faith or belief. Its almost impossible as a christian to try and speak and explain things to these people. I at least hope and pray that this side can be of help to a searching soul. If you are searching, look into the holy bible , the King James is a reputable bible, (today there are so many bibles, some are not accurate), in the King James bible, there you will find who Christ Jesus was and IS and why He came here and why He allowed Himself to be crucified. The book of John is a good gospel to begin with. That is where i began. Also the book of psalms in the old testament , give a lot of wisdom and solace to the soul that is seeking God My our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus open the eyes of those searching. Amen Christ Jesus is our good shepherd . John 10:1414 Christ Jesus said: "I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, 15even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep."… So to answer the question: Who makes sinners into saints? answer : Our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus

I believe I heard God speaking to me......

The speaking from the Holy Spirit of God that i was referring to is not an audible one that every one in the room can hear. Its an inner calling. One has to be careful when expressing ourselves, when you say you heard from God, some people can say you have some type of schizophrenia going on. There are also evil spirit that can try to come in through thoughts, dreams, suggestions. As Christians, we have the protection of the Holy Spirit of God and the blood of Jesus as our covering, but also our christian walk is important, as to how we live. A Christian may be protected from possession, but depending on how they choose to live, they can be oppressed. Living as an oppressed christian, is someone who still has some rebellion in him/her that needs to be dealt with. But I truly believe that if you just keep asking God to help you overcome certain week spots in your life,(we all have them) and keep seeking to do His will over yours, keep praying (talking to God), He will respond back to your prayer in His way. He will do His part in convicting your spirit and try guiding you away from whatever may be oppressing you. It all has a lot to do with placing our trust more and more in God and placing more and more of our faith and trust in God, in His word over our will. the more trust and faith, faithfulness we place in God, the more He can work through us. Coming back to the Holy spirit of God speaking to you as a christian having a daily relationship with God, it is not unlikely that you will hear the Holy Spirit of God speak to you through your heart and this sometimes can be heard like a voice speaking to you, audibly for you within you, but that nobody else will hear. -

My German Grand father made it through the I and 11 world war by having been guided through the Holy spirit of God guiding him. My German grandfather got save through Christ Jesus appearing to him in a dream. this changed his life so dramatically that all the rest of his life he spoke to whoever about Christ Jesus and the Word of God found in the Holy Bible.. I was raised both catholic and hearing my Holy Bible grandfather read the bible and praise the Lord. My relationship with God over the years went through many different twist and turns to eventuality have been seriously called back by Him, like John 10 :14 states. I always talked to God, since i was a child. To hear back from God is in the moments we are quiet and sincere of heart to receive His guidance. To ask if anyone else has ever heard audibly God speak to them ? or understands what you are saying, is kind of like: do we say what we truly experienced with the possibility of being judged here in a negative view or do we say our truth anyway. I would not be taking and defending Christ Jesus if i had not experienced Him personally working in my life the way He has. The things He has done for me, as I have drawn to Him throughout my life. Of course i am not perfect. of course, I have still have much to learn and more to grow in His wisdom, patience and Grace, yet, even so, He has spoken to me many times over the many years, i have seeked Him and still does . And even so, it is still yet up to me to continue to seek His will over mine which is a constant challenge every day. So to answer the question asked, yes God has spoken to me especially in the moments when I am still and open to be in relationship with Him. -
lol. Very interesting to see that most of the responses pretty much reflect the character of those who wrote them down. My sentiments reflects with those who said a kind word to you and wish you to stay. So, I do wish you reconsider and come back and take this place not to seriously with all the differences of personalities. Just remember this place is a smorgasbord of people. Some here are about as christian kind as Ebeneser Scrooge on a good day and before he meets with his spirits. They most of all need some to keep them in prayer. So you are needed here. : ) God bless 1to3

Scripture states seven times that false miracles will mislead many (Matthew 7:21-23, 24:24, Mark 13:22, 2 Thess 2:8-12, Rev 13:13,14, 16:14,19:20) and it seems that this will involve a large section of the world's population (the Greek word for many has the connotations of a majority). Those deceived will believe that they are serving God in the name of Jesus when in fact they are "workers of iniquity." 2Peter 2:1,2,3 1-But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destroying heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them and bring on them swift destruction. 2-And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3- By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words, for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber Matthew 24:24 23"Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or 'There He is,' do not believe him. 24"For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. 25"Behold, I have told you in advance.

About Paul, Paul did ask other christian followers , who were alive, to pray for him and others who are alive. To pray for someone else is joining up with and in unity with God, that the person being prayed for, be brought forth to God, in unison of our faith in God and His plan of Mercy and Grace through His only begotten Son tho intercedes and pleads our case to God. No dead christian can do that. Christ Jesus alone is the One able to plead our petitions to God. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. If praying to the dead was acceptable and asked for by Christ Jesus, Christ Jesus would have mentioned it. But Christ Jesus said that He -alone- was the way the truth and the life and Life eternal and that no one can come to the Father except through Him. John 14:6,7 "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. 7"If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."… Praying for the dead and asking them for guidance is unscriptural. It cannot be found in the old or new testament. The old testament is quite clear that trying to summon up the dead, even the holy like Samuel is not correct, it is called an abomination. Remember what happened to Saul? and his disobedience and his trying to summon up Samuel for help and guidance? He could not summon up Samuel, because Samuel was with God, instead Saul, through going to the witch of Endor,( had a little prayer session with her, that is called a seance) and tried to summoned up Samuel, but instead summoned up a demon who told Saul that not only should he have not tried to summon up Samuel, but that tomorrow, he would be with him -in hell-. The next day, Saul went into battle and lost, got mortally wounded, and even right there and then, Saul could have repented to God and asked God for forgiveness but instead in defiance, he threw himself on his sword, killing himself. If praying for dead saints to intercede for us was scriptural and good and what Christ Jesus wanted from us, he would have mentioned it to the disciples and the disciples would have mentioned it in their testaments of Gods plan of mercy and grace for us. But praying, conversing with God, is what we as Christians are called to do. We are called to have a daily relationship with God, through prayer, and employing the word of God throughout our day. We are called to pray for one another, and even with one another: 1 Thessalonians 5:25 : bothers pray for us Acts 41:3 and when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness. Matthew 19:18 Christ Jesus said: Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. In Matthew 6 :8-14 Christ Jesus explains to us how we should pray. He never mentioned we were to pray to or for the dead in Christ to mediate and intercede for us. Christians praying for the living is part and parcel of being a christian Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God. Colossians 1:9 And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, The disciples themselves would have mentioned that we should now also pray to lets say the disciple Stephen who got stoned/ murdered for Christ sake after Christ Jesus was crucified. No, Holy scripture does not tell us to pray to dead saints. Paul never asked the other disciples or other Christians to pray to the dead Stephen to make intercession for them, no, Paul in Romans 15:30 said this :" I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf, " The word of God says all christian are saints. The ones that pass-on are in the presence of the lord. The angels, are also in the presence of the Lord, but it is clear in holy scripture that we are not to pray or bow down to angels either. Revelation 19:10 9Then he said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he said to me, "These are true words of God." 10Then I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Revelation 22: 8,9 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. 9But he said to me, "Do not do that. I am a fellow servant of yours and of your brethren the prophets and of those who heed the words of this book. Worship God." 10And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.

I saw on an interview on t.v. the two relatives from the killers family ( a woman and a man) and listened and observed their verbal and facial expression to the questions the reporter asked them. When the reporter mentioned the name of an islamic leader the killers refereed to, both interviewed man and woman blinked at the same time in recognition of the islamic leader but verbally said they did not know who he was... Then their way of expression changed from talking about the implication of their killer relatives to speaking of other things in the end of the interviews. To me it showed they knew more than they were letting on.
